  1. I dont see how you missed Freemans 14 tackles (7 of them solo) vs the Jets, you dont load up on a position that does not need it. we desperately need a RG heck and a LG to really. I would trade down in the first depending on our position and try to pick up a 2nd and a 4th in the process and consider drafting as follows

    1.Barrett Jones

    2.Alex Okafor

3.Andrew Jackson (6'1 265 heavy hitter run stuffing ILB maybe then we can trade Conner and pickup a 5th)

    4.Margus Hunt

    5.Kwame Geathers

My top 5 picks using that scenario as of tonight, Picking up Kenny Phillips and William Beatty (who is in a Power Blocking scheme over in New York and also blocked at RT for Donald Brown at UConn, Perhaps and even likely not a long term solution but, protecting our QB even overrides stopping the run in this case plus we will have Chapman back next year hopefully fully recovered and at full strength

Thats another idea of my first 4 picks

I just don't think any of them have star potential, there good and play well so far, but you can always upgrade.

  2. I'd rather get a potential elite Guard that can open up holes in the run game or RT, we can get someone like Margus Hunt in the mid rounds

Me too. look how good our offense can be now, If we get a Offensive line, Luck and the Offensive could possibly have a top 3 offense in the NFL. Plus going guard in first gives us the chance to trade down and pick up a 2nd round pick hopefully.

  3. Hmmm... really? I've never heard that one before.

We didn't draft a single TE when Peyton was drafted.

It does not happen in every single case. But a young QB's best friend is usually a TE so he has a safety net to go too if he runs into trouble.

  4. Everyone once to get on Fleener, but First Year TE's don't make Huge Impact. Look at Kyle Rudolph's stats as a rookies same size as Fleener yet he struggled his rookie year as well. He was the first TE drafted and the best in the Draft last year when the Vikings picked him.

  5. Sorry, but Bethea is as much to blame as Sergio Brown was because Bethea was NOT covering his part of the field like he should have been. He reacted to the outside receiver and made a move towards the sideline instead of staying in the middle of the field. That caused him to widen the middle of the field and lose position on the receiver that Brown got lost on. Had Bethea played his coverage as he was supposed to, that play doesn't go 80 yards.

Most likely the Defense was playing the sidelines so Jacksonville could not get out of bounds and stop the clock.

  6. Stanford had a very good running game. They ran about 60% of the time which really opened up the offense for Luck and Fleener. How can Grigson and Pagano run a Stanford style offense with no o-line or running game?

Exactly Luck does not have time to make multiple reads on plays because our line is just so bad. Give them a few years and the offense will be really good.
