  1. Good fit for him too. I feel like he's a bit redundant with Darnell Mooney there since that's a common comp for him...
  2. Oh for sure, but we're not making a SB run this season, so why not grab a guy in the 5th that could lock down RG for us for the next decade? Draft him and bring in the best remaining FA G (Risner) on a short term deal to solidify the OL for this season.
  3. Would have loved to have gotten Zavala. Hopefully Voorhees falls to the 5th where we can get him...
  4. They announced him as a DT, so I'm thinking more 3T that they'll kick outside?
  5. I wasn't in love with Bleacher's big board, so I wouldn't put too much stock into that. Way different type of DT. Hes much more of a big DE that can kick inside than a 0 tech like Grover.
  6. I don't understand how you don't see the value of a player like this, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen you say something positive on this forum, so I'll just chalk this opinion up to another pessimistic take. He plays much bigger than his stature, has one of the highest contested catch rates in this class despite being one of the shortest, and is an amazing route runner that gets separation. Yes, he can be a weapon in the redzone. Its obvious you haven't watched much, if any, of Downs' tape, because if you had, you wouldn't be saying the ridiculous stuff that you are. Have your bad take, but don't expect anyone to agree with you...
  7. My WR1 in this draft. I still can't believe we got him....
  8. Winters is a little small (5'11" 211 lbs) but he's a converted Safety and gives some slid coverage ability. I wouldn't mind him in the 5th. Makes no sense to me..
  9. That's the one. He would've been gone late 1st/early 2nd without the injury.
  10. There's some similarities, but Downs is oddly amazing at contested catches despite being so small.
  11. I was just checking to see if he was still on the board or if I missed him getting drafted. I really would have liked Simpson in our LB room as well. Ravens have a mean LB room. My thought exactly.
  12. Dang, I really like Henley. He would've been a monster in our LB room.
  13. That's the only thing I can think of. He's possibly exclusively slot, so lack of schematic versatility? Andrew Voorhees would be a cherry on top...
  14. I think he will be too. Not a game changer like Henry, but a solid back. Diaby was a guy we had in for a top 30. He's heading to TB, but I'd love to get his running mate Yasir Abdullah. Doesn't fit Ballard's prototypical pass rusher, but he's a dangerous speed rusher that could just scream off the edge on passing downs.
  15. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get him in the 2nd. Downs in the 3rd is an absolute steal.
  16. His ability to throttle his speed is insane and that 10 yd split shows.
  17. I was ready to get hurt again for that reason. He's completely outside of the norm for Ballard. Maybe this is Ballard learning and changing?
  18. LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! This was my guy at WR. I'm so hype right now. I just hope he follows the history of my guys at WR (AJ Brown, Pittman, Tyler Lockett).
  19. I'd much rather just get a guy like Vorhees that could be an absolute force at RG. He won't play immediately, but him and Q would just bully Dlines for years.
  20. We need to stop talking about WRs we want...lol
  21. Imagine if they drafted the wrong one.... At this point, I'd love if we somehow left this draft with either Josh Downs or Tyler Scott. They were 2 of my favorite WRs in this draft and I think would fit what our WR room is missing.
