  1. IMO, the name Stanford is beginning to irritate me somewhat. The Colts are having to wait on him to finish classes, he has stated that he wants to meet up with Austin and Reggie but nothing has really been set up. Hopefully, with time all will change, but right now it's a bit irritating.

  2. I can't figure out why they are doing a private workout with Luck either. Everyone knows they are taking him. Is something really going to change their minds?

The contingency of coaches that traveled out to Palo Alto left me with the impression that there was more of a purpose than just an old fashioned workout, they were preparing him for the future! I do not believe 100% was finalized, but more was stepped up in the direction of Luck becoming the new Colts Quarterback.

I think they flirted with RGIII, but IMO, that was it!

  3. I'm all for a tougher, more physical defense. But I also want one that is disciplined, so they do not draw unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

I hope we do build a monster defense, one feared for its tenacity and effectiveness. I want to have a defense that can exact a slow methodical punishment to opponents until they surrender in submission.

But I do not want to "beat the crap" out of opponents. That would be too messy for the grounds-keeping staff to clean up, not to mention the team's laundry issues.

My exact thoughts. With bounty gate being an unpopular news story, to me this is an improper message to state!

  4. A few days before Peyton was released, Mike Chappell reported to ESPN or The NFL network(s) that one of the reason(s) Peyton Manning was being released was due to the Colts drafting Andrew Luck. Who are we to believe now? There is way toooo much drama being created around this draft and it is best just to ignore all of the hype until The Colts announce they are drafting, you guessed it, Mr. Luck!
