  1. Eagles have two mid seconds. Think they would wanna trade for our #34?

maybe they'd trade up to get lavonte david (think thats his name, the small LB) with there pick we could probably pick up a wr (Quick App., Jenkins Illinois) or cb (Robinson USF, Johnson, Montana) Jenkins could even be there. I trust the FO to do there homework on these guys and avoid reaching to fill needs.

  2. Streeter isnt really that good. I have seen people talking about him and putting him in their mocks on this forum but i dont see it. He doesnt run good routes, and routinely body catches. (my pet peeve for receivers) I dont mind if a guy drops the ball with his hands, because well it happens to the best of em, but when guys let the ball hit their body it means they are not comfortable with their hands, which is never a good thing. Thats where the Braylon Edwards and even Garcon to a lesser extent come from. But then you watch a guy like Reggie, who not only catches the ball with his hands darn near every time but he is so confident in them that he doesnt bring his hands up to catch it until literally the last second possible. He just snags it out of the air and you can tell the DB had no idea the ball was that close. Love it.

I like Sanu but I dont think he is worth 34. But if Pagano and comp. want him Id have no problem with them trading down a few spots and grabbing a 3rd in the process and selecting him mid 2nd. Mostly because I see a few quality guys available in the 3rd rounds. Guys like Allen or Charles (TEs), Chapman, Wolfe To name a few off the top of my head. Lots of talent to be had in the 3rd.

the more I look at mock drafts unless someone we have someone ranked much higher, fall into our laps (Hill, Wright, Gilmore, I'd love to get any of those three) I am starting to think we should trade down to mid 2nd and pick up a second third round pick is the best option

  3. There's a two round mock on NFL.com right now that has Fleener falling to the Bears in the second round at #50. They also have us taking Kendall Wright in the second.

I was just checking out some of the m ock drafts there, and of the four first ones I looked at I think fleener was left out of the 1st round in all of them, Hill dropped to the 2nd in one, same with K wright. theres should be a handful of real good players to pick from. I keep thinking we need to grab another weapon for luck with 34, but im starting to like the idea of a olb or de.

    12 more days, can't wait!

I guess what my question is, when you see a player thats predicted/rated mid first round fall to 2nd (seems like theres one or two every where), does that make you nervous if we grabbed him?

  4. Who would you like to see in Blue and White on Sundays? IMO Doug Martins going to be a star, he has tremendous footwork and a low core gravity that gives him the ability to get where he wants to go and he's hard to bring down. He has a great overall game, he can lower his shoulders and he can be agile and pass catching. He would fit our system well, tough when needed, pass catching and agile when needed.

He would be a third round steal for his talent level.

I think the kids good, but i bet he goes in the 2nd and there are way to many position that need an upgrade. There should be some good value at those positions..

  5. 1st of all, I don't think him playing bad at OLB would have any effect on his already proven pass rushing skills.

Secondly, it would be near impossible to trade Freeney mid season. Teams will already be up against their cap and will not be able to add a 14 million dollar contract.

Good point on the team that would be trading for Freeney cap space, didn't think about that. darn, I was hoping for maybe a 2nd round pick for Freeney before the trade deadline this season. unless ofcoarse we are in serious contention of the AFC south

  6. Im going 1-Luck

2-Janoris Jenkins or prefer Gilmore if hes their

3-AJ Jenkins, or Sanu, Criner, which ever one is their

    4 Ta'amu

5 Dwayne Allen or Ladarius Green

    5 Streeter

    6 Baptiste

    7 Linebacker

    7 Guard

    7 Wide Receiver

something along those lines or close

I'm seeing Ta'Amu on alot of peoples mock drafts (given they have to be taking with a grain of salt) has moved up to late 2nd/early 3rd range

  7. What I was wondering is if this whole OLB experiment doesn't work out does that hurt his trade value during the season or would it not have an effect. I could see a contender(s) losing a DE for the season early on, then come knocking on our door mid season, would that increase his value from where it stands today?

  8. This is one those debates that can go back and forth for ever. The way I see it, if the colts FO feel the interviews go well then its a no brainer draft him, but if they are uncertain then they just have to wait and see whos left on the board come the start of day 2 of the draft (if theres no one they are comfortable with) trade back and pick up another mid to late round pic.

  9. Fleener, Wright, Hill, and Janoris Jenkins (IF he can get his life in order) would be guys I would sprint to the podium for at the top of round 2 if they're there. I still say if the Colts want Fleener we would have to trade and I don't know id be willing to do that. In my mock I had the Texans taking him and if they don't I can see another team trading into the bottom of the first to get him.

I love the idea of fleener falling to us, but like you said theres a good chance that won't happen. I think best Off. player available (besides rb) should be taken.

  10. I've been flip flopping on whether or not we should go offense or defense (to me it really depends on who's left on the board) but I was just reading this from Adam Schefter and I think he makes a good point.

"Q: Adam, the Indianapolis Colts have so many needs to address. After the first round, what are some names and/or positions that you think they might be attracted to?

    -- Bryan (Montana)

A: Fleener would be a tremendous pick if he snuck into the top of the second round, Bryan. They also can't do enough to protect Andrew Luck. There are defensive needs all across the board, but if you're going to build your franchise around Luck, you better make him as safe and as comfortable as he can be. There will be time to build the defense, and Chuck Pagano knows defense, so it's time to concentrate on that offense for now."

  11. Oh. I still woudn't want him there. a DE is the least of our worries, he's not even BPA. A WR or TE or CB.

I'd prefer to see us take jenkins if fleener doesn't fall (and I dont' think he will with the pats success with multiple TE formations) How about H. Smith out of Notre darn?

I think if we want to go WR in round 2, the best bet would be trade back towards the end of round 2 and take randle out of LSU.

  12. It seems like every where theres a few guys that are predicted to go middle of the first round that for one reason or another fall to early to middle of the second round. Im just excited to see who it is. I can't wait for the draft, I don't think i've been this excited for it in years (and I watch most of the draft every year). I think as long as we go BPA this year instead of reaching we'll pick up some quality starters.

I love Jenkins skill set (gators fan) and would love to see him in a colts uniform, my only concern is with a guy like that I think you need a strong Defensive leader to keep him in check (mainly off the field)
