  1. How is Hilton unstoppable his rating is a 63  . Player upgrades are cool though. Great game

That is a good point but he's so darn quick and I don't think he's dropped a ball yet, I just run slants or quick outs all day long with him. don't let the ratings fool you, try him out in the slot and you'll see

  2. I'm usually with you on the love it every year bit, this was the first year I was thoroughly disappointed. I'll be giving it more time over the next few days, but I just am very ticked about all the improvements that have since been removed.

I think the issue was with the connected careers they didn't have time to put in alot of the features that alot of us love (importing draft class, editing roster for franchise mode, ect) I'd bet we see those things put back in the game next year. I didn't even get ncaa since i can't import the draft classes. I'm just trying to get used to the gameplay now and most likely will go back and start over once the new roster update is out, I need Vontae on the team bad!

  3. I got Madden 13 yesterday night and loving it. I used Coach Pagano for connected careers and currently (0-1) after suffering a loss to the Bears.

I lost a close one too, shanked the game winning field goal in some nasty wind. beat up on the jaguars in week three though. those DB's (granted I don't have Vontae) killed me though especially hester. I love the game though, but I say that every year and people always seem to complain.

  4. fleener and hilton are unstoppable. I think its just me but I have to dink and dunk with the short passing game all day to do well. Once Hilton gets the ball he is mighty quick and sure can rack up the YAC. I love how you upgrade players stats based on there performance.

  5. I'm counting the minutes to get home and play it. I am all about taking a bad team and through mostly the draft and FA building a powerhouse team. I always had a hard time trading colts players that I've grown attached to or cutting them so this year I'm pretty excited to see what I can make this colts team look like in 2-3 seasons. I was kinda shocked at how low the overall ratings were for players like Allen, Brown, and Hilton to name a few. Hopefully they have a high potential rating

  6. I hope this is true, I like the value and certainly fills a need. Yound CB with the potential to be a top 5 CB in the NFL for a 2nd round pick, I think we would be hard pressed to draft a better player that fills a bigger need. Please be true!

  7. It won't be Freeney. Eagles have an exceptional D-line, why would they add to it with someone on the wrong side of 30 and a huge contract?

I think the giants have shown that you can't have to many quality D lineman, keeping those big guys fresh thats a huge plus. As far as why the Eagles would take an "older" player like Freeney, I think they are at a point they have to win now before the window closes on some of the older guys.

  8. Allen is a frickin' bully though I love it....Have you all noticed how mean the team is a whole??? Dressed in all white like some angels but they're chippy, mean, like the whole team has a chip on their shoulder...never seen a Colts team like this...I feel like we're an AFC North Team

I have always been a colts fan but I loved the attitude and the way the steelers and ravens play the game especially on D. I'm real excited for this season but i can't wait to see what this team can be with a good offseason or two. Allen certainly plays with a fire and is fun to watch, I thought Fleener blocked better so thats a good sign.

  9. As of July 29, 2010, 29 of 32 first round draft picks were unsigned (including our own Jerry Hughes).

As of July 23, 2012, all but 25 of 253 total draft picks were signed. As of today, July 26, all but 7 are signed.

The new CBA has made it much easier and much less painful to sign draft picks. Just because it's not as smooth as glass doesn't mean the rookie contract situation isn't significantly better. It is.

I knew the rookie signings this year and last seem alot more smooth and quickly, but those numbers! WOW. I think the NFL got this right, can't imagine what we would be paying for Luck if this were 3 years ago...... but then again that probably would mean we would have traded the number one pick

  10. I really think all these teams talk to each other. Pretty much finding out how much they are going to pay each round. And if they don't give, then the team just waits and signs them as late as possible. IMO, that is why Luck was signed after RGIII.

I'm pretty sure with the new CBA salaries for rookies are pretty well set. I think the only things that could be holding it up is the verbage in the contract and possibly the amount guarenteed?

  11. Well if that is indeed the case, obviously I dont know that it is, if a guy isn't comfortable playing safety and is inaffective at it then dont try to make him play something he isn't comfortable playing

I hear what your saying, but IF I were a coach I might see it as him not being very "coachable" You would think being UDFA he would want to do whatever it takes to earn a spot on the roster.

  12. Ravens-just lost Terrell Suggs in a LB core that is already on the decline, with Flacco not performing to the potential that he can

Steelers- Released many of their good players, Roethlisberger stands no chance against this defense, as evidenced last year

Broncos- Why? Because they have Manning? Yes, Tebow got them to the playoffs, but he's Tebow. They are easy compeitition.

I guess that kite is not as high as you think. Patriots are our main compeition, and if their defense does not get it together with their newest additions, they will fall.

SOOO the ravens don't stand a chance because they loss Suggs and Flacco is a little above average, You have Schaub who gets injured every year and you loss Mario Williams. Your Defense has been decent ONE year where the ravens have been a top 5 D for ohhhhhh the past DECADE! I'd take the Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, Pats and maybe even the Jets over the texan. But anyways enjoy your time at the top of the division, that lease is only good for another season MAYBE too.....

  13. QB - Luck, Stanton, My Uncle Rico

RB - Brown, Carter, Ballard (Ballard on short yardage situations)

    FB - A hitting dummy.

TE - Fleener, Allen, Eldridge (Eldridge always in on obvious run downs)

WR - Reggie, Austin, Avery, Hilton (He's gonna be a STAR if he doesn't get knocked out).

    LT - Costanzo

Rest of O-line - Who are these guys???...and somewhere in there is Ijallana.

We signed uncle Rico, NO WAY!

  14. i am with you there were several availabe we got two more wrs like avery

If these guys can learn the art of route running from Wayne, Hilton could turn out to be a real good slot WR I think. If he can help with the return game thats a big plus too.

  15. I think the easiest way to transition to a rookie qb is to have a stout D so the QB just has to manage the game (like Steelers did with Rothlisberger). with that being said with this team, that wasn't going to happen. I think we could be looking at some shoot outs like Carolina and Cam had this past season. should be exciting though!

  16. Does not make my point invalid or change the fact that we reached for a 1 dimensional TE in Fleener and reached again for a short WR/KR and wasted 3 picks to do that. There are more Allen type TEs in the 4-6 rounds.

Fleener was not a reach IMO, he was ranked right around 30 on most boards i've seen. This makes luck have a familiar target and hes a dynamic enough of an athlete to help Luck. I like allen but since we got fleener probably could have taken a TE later in the draft.
