Regrettably our Colts miscues & mistakes - plus - the referee squad inconsistency cost our Colts their first "W" of the season. Fortunately - a date with Jacksonville looms !!
-
I'll take the "handoff" on this one: Colts 30 Eagles 28 !!
-
Predict the result of the Colts vs Eagles on Monday Night Football !!
-
OFFENSE: Need to sustain long drives allowing the defense to rest - and - establish the tempo of the game !!
-
Which individual unit for the Colts needs to "step up" the MOST on Monday night to defeat the Eagles in primetime ??
-
I agree that Commissioner Roger Goodell's leadership qualities are definately in the crosshairs. Whether or not he loses his job remains to be seen.
I DO think the NFL owners need to step up in a BIG way during this investigation and hold Goodell accountable IF there is actually wrong doing in the front office - in the same way Goodell does of NFL players & other employees. After all - there shouldn't be a "double standard" just because he is the Commish.
I also agree that I am really wondering about the NEW JERSEY investigation (incident happened in Atlantic City) in to domestic battery and/or assault. You can BET that the authorities there DID have access to the elevator video.
-
Well - the Ray Rice situation has become the latest public relations nightmare for the National Football League - and - rightly so.
First - Roger Goodell fumbles the initial NFL reaction with a "wink-wink" lame punishment which is roundly criticized nationwide - and - rightly so.
Next - TMZ releases the damning "elevator tape" evidence. Roger Goodell addresses the public release (over 24 hours later) of the tape by claiming that the NFL - with it's extensive security department & resources - was unable to review said tape that a "gossip site" IS able to access.
A reliable source indicates that an NFL executive WAS SENT a copy of the video - in APRIL !!
Possibly the most head-scratching moment of the week comes when now-wife Janay Rice criticizes the MEDIA for causing a nightmarish situation for her family. SERIOUSLY ?????
Owners are upset - and - demanding accountability from the league office.
Women's organizations are roundly criticizing the leagues handing of the entire matter.
Sponsors are monitoring the situation closely.
Doing damage control - post-screw up - the NFL has employed the services of a former FBI executive to do a complete investigation.
All that being said - do you think this latest faux pas by Commissioner Roger Goodell will cost him his job ??

Home in Martinsville (south central Indiana)

Regrettably - the "Indianapolis Star" has seen fit to let go of a number of their premiere sports reporters in what has to be cost-cutting moves. Several of their "free agents" have signed with "other teams". List below:
Bob Kravitz - exclusive with www.wthr.com
Mike Chappell - exclusive with www.indychannel.com
Phillip B Wilson - have not yet heard what his plans are

Where will you be watching Monday Night's game between our Colts and the Philadelphia Eagles ??
-
It is my hope that Khaled Holmes is closer to being ready to start. I think Jonatthan Harrison should start this week. AQ Shipley should then be Jon's backup until Holmes is 100% ready to return.
-
Which player do you think will start @ center for the Colts vs Eagles on Monday night ??
-
1. Obviously the loss was "negative" - but - I was most upset about the officiating !! I just don't think that an "apology" from the league office is sufficient when there is such ridiculously wrong calls.
2. I saw the potential for a potent running game with Richardson & Bradshaw !! I also saw the halftime adjustments be effective.

It's a foregone conclusion that everyone has completed their fantasy football draft.
Share your draft day roster & any changes made prior to NFL week 1 !!

Early on in his career Peyton Manning picked up a case of "pink eye" while at training camp. The tinted helmet shield made the lights and/or sun less harsh on his eyes while healing.
