  1. :blueshoe:   I'll kick off today's Question of the Day responses:

QB:  Peyton Manning & Jay Cutler

RB:  Rashad Jenning - Joique Bell - Knowshon Moreno

TE:   Kyle Rudolph & Zach Ertz

WR:  AJ Green - Keenan Allen - Randall Cobb - Brian Hartline - Golden Tate

    K:  Adam Vinatieri

DEF:  Kansas City Chiefs & Indianapolis Colts

    Roster moves:

Dropped Golden Tate for RB Devonta Freeman

Dropped Brian Hartline for WR Dwayne Bowe (suspended week 1)

Dropped Colts DEF for K Matt Prater (suspended thru week 4)

Proposed trade to a Chiefs fan:

Kansas City DEF for 49ers DEF

WR Dwayne Bowe for RB Giovanni Bernard

(Waiting to hear about my trade proposal)

  2. :blueshoe:   Knowing the full-practice status of Jonatthan Harrison - I am hopeful that our starting offensive line will take the field Sunday night and play a game with no injuries.

:blueshoe:   I think our defense will surprize some - including some of our forum members.  While facing a formidable foe in Manning's new offensive juggernaut - I think our defensive will play well.

:blueshoe:   My one and only REAL concern about Sunday nites game is that the Colts will have difficulty adjusting to Denver's mile-high air and will tire more easily than normal.  Hope we have enough healthy bodies for consistent rotation.

  3. :blueshoe:   1.  Grigson made a number of moves which were announced after my post.  I anticipate a few more before week 2.

:blueshoe:   2.  Kinda - I gave Harnish the benefit of the doubt for the Bengals game because of the o-line issues.  BUT - I trust Ryan Grigson implicitly and if he thinks this new QB prospect is an upgrade - I'm in.

  4. Jim Irsay's transgression  probably cost the Colts the Super Bowl bid in 2018, and I'm pretty sure the SB committee considered that.

The Super Bowl committee also did not award  New Orleans because of the power outage in the second half between the 49ers and Ravens, delayed everybody and the game, in front of an international audience.

That left Minneapolis/St/ Paul, and they were awarded the  Super Bowl.  Indianapolis will be back to host another Super Bowl at LOS.  In the 2020 decade likely for the next opportunity.

:blueshoe:   Personally - I do not believe that Jim Irsay's actions had ANY affect whatsoever on the Super Bowl being awarded to Minneapolis.

The NFL has been pretty consistent - "If you build it - they will come" !!!  :blueshoe:

  5. :blueshoe:   In my humble opinion this sounds like an appropriate punishment given Irsay's status as a team owner.  I consider it both fair and reasonable.

:blueshoe:   Don't believe that draft picks would have been considered since this was a violation of the "personal conduct policy" and his violation did not in ANY way have any affect on his team.

:blueshoe:   Time for Irsay to move on - and - for us to join in that quest.

  6. :blueshoe:   There was a LOT of debate regarding the Commissioner's decision to levy ONLY a 2-game suspension on Ravens RB Ray Rice - especially when compared with some of the first-time suspensions levied for other rules violations - including our own Robert Mathis.

:blueshoe:   Read the latest NFL.com article BEFORE answering todays question:

:blueshoe:   Do you think the Commish FINALLY got punishment for this type of offense right ??
