They make mistakes - just like the rest of us.

 

They make HUGE mistakes - and - NFL Nation goes bezerk!!

 

THIS week they made HUGE mistakes - unfortunately favoring ONE team - but - their calls are reviewed - and - we'll see IF the NFL issues "an apology".

Head Coach Shane Steichen has shown a proclivity for "going for it" on 4th down - even in an area of the field where a field goal is almost a certainty with Matt Gay.

 

Sadly - the Colts have left TOO MANY "points on the field" by failing to convert most of those 4th down gambles. 

 

Points - that MIGHT have led to a different result in the W-L column.

 

Channel your inner coach - is Steichen making the RIGHT decision to "go for the gusto" - OR - the WRONG decision by leaving "points on the field"?

Personally - I don't think it makes a significant difference who's under center for the Browns.  Neither QB has been particularly fearsome this season.

Following the draft - the majority of us thought the Colts would end up with a top 10 pick - and - that hasn't changed.

 

So stop wringing your hands over the bad luck we've had thus far this season - and - stand behind OUR TEAM for the remainder of the year.

 

Maybe we end up with a high enough draft pick to select Marvin Harrison Jr??

Grover Stewart posted that he didn't know that he was using something that was a PED.  Hence my comment.  The NFL & NFLPA have lists of banned substances - but - every year more and more get added.

 

I HOPE that the NFLPA will at least take a look at this case - here on planet Earth!!

It appears that the Denver Broncos are having an NFL-sized yard sale - with multiple players said to be on the trading block and/or looking at being released sooner than later.

 

Keeping fingers crossed that Chris Ballard will pull the trigger on this trade opportunity - sooner than later!!

I'll play "devil's advocate" - and - remind you that if he and the NFLPA feel that this suspension is unwarranted - they can appeal the decision.

 

Fingers crossed that the suspension is either dropped - OR - reduced in length.

Irsay used the word "PROBABLY" - aka - NO DECISION has been made at this time.

 

The Colts are doing their due diligence by getting information from a number of sources to make the very best possible decision for Anthony Richardson and his long-term health.

 

Having had this matter explained by ESPN's group of analysts - including Jeff Saturday & Pat McAfee - this is still a fluid situation and information is still being gleaned.
