How many guesses do I get?
-
It's week 3 people - give Sean Payton a chance to begin to put "his team" together - rather than a hand-me-down team.
I believe that Mike McDaniel & the front office staff have been on the same page from day 1 and it is beginning to show on the field - and - in the won/lost column!!
McDaniel could have chosen to set an NFL record for points scored in a single NFL game - but - chose not to. At that point in the game - who would have really cared other than the Dolphins team and fan base.
-
Cowboys - Chicago - and - Denver gave a whole new meaning to the word "crapper"!!

Which weekly pre-game TV show is your go-to show for Colts gameday coverage?
-
Jeff Saturday returned to ESPN this week as one of their NFL analysts!!
Everyone seemed genuinely happy to have him back.
I know I was particularly happy - since I recently upgraded my cable package so that I could get ESPN & ESPN2.
WELCOME BACK JEFF!!

I'm wondering if they re-sign Deon Jackson to the practice squad next week.
ROAST THE RAVENS!!

Is any of Peyton Manning autograph money going for charity ? The average fan can't afford those prices. Sheesh !!
Nope - unfortunately - that's what his autograph appearance average.
I agree - the average fan can't afford the autograph + the item they bring + the entry ticket + the trip to Chicago without taking out a second mortgage on their oldest child.

I'm counting the days until TE Jelani Woods can return to the lineup.
It's my understanding that the Colts plan to use him as a "down the field" option.
Hoping that's true - as I have him stashed on "reserve" on my fantasy football team.
-
I would rather ALL of our injured Colts players return when THEY ARE 100% ready - rather than rush them back and then lose them for a longer period of time as a result.
You'd think the NFL teams would learn from this common mistake.

The Chicago Bears defensive coordinator was a member of the defensive staff for the "Super Bowl XLI Champion Indianapolis Colts".
The press release indicated that he was resigning to spend more time taking care of his health and his family.
The team can now officially be called "The Bad News Bears".

Fun.
Thanks for sharing!!

No surprise at all that neither Anthony Richardson or Ryan Kelly are playing Sunday.
The NFL and the NFLPA are taking concussions seriously these days.
God bless all of our injured players as they heal!!

Pricing is pretty similar to buying online for him, at least this case you get to see him in person
That's what I was thinking - you can shake his hand and thank him for all he did for the Indianapolis Colts!!

I don’t see the Colts having a top 5 pick this season and even if they did they would have to trade up in the top 2 or 3 draft spots to get Marvin Harrison Jr.
I concur!

Thanks for the update - the injury report always bears watching on a week-to-week basis!!

It's gonna be a LLLLOOONNNGGG two weeks until JONATHAN TAYLOR can resume practice and games.

WOW!!
What a sad situation for RB Evan Hull!!
May God bless him during his recovery period.
PS. ANY ONE on the fan forum able to suit up for the Colts at running back this Sunday?

I heard just a "snippet" of a conversation on one of the ESPN morning sports talk shows - and - they were indicating that Frank Reich wasn't using Bryce Young the way he should be used.
FYI - Bryce Young is out this weekend with an ankle issue.

Hes got great talent as a runner, but he definately needs to learn how to use it properly. Id never take a hit unless it was 3rd down. Plus most cb's would obliterate me. Blown up, blood and body parts everywhere kinda way.
It wasn't "the hit" that caused the concussion - it was the "whiplashed" way he hit the turf.
-
It is likely that both Anthony Richardson - AND - Ryan Kelly miss Sunday's game.
But - I try never to say never.......

Wrong Hunt my friend.
Was actually talking about Dolphin's offensive lineman Robert Hunt who plays RG and will be an upcoming free agent who has been playing very well as potentially an option if he chose to hit the free agency market. After the first two weeks Fries has been holding his own which is awesome and can potentially scratch Robert Hunt's name off the list.
As for Zak Moss realize his value going forward which is why he is high on the list to be resigned while Deon Jackson is a cut candidate. Keep tabs on RB DeeJay Dallas from the Seahawks. Reminds me of Zak Moss and has nearly identical stat production.
If we had to look at the NFL draft for a future RB look up Quinshon Judkins (Ole Miss). Believe he is a sophomore this year and probably not eligible for the draft but check out some of his accolades from college. 2022 PFF TOW 9 honors had 14 broken tackles against Texas A&M, 5 breakaway runs of 15+ yards in company with likes of Derick Henry, Alvin Kamara and Chuba Hubbard. Judkins came to Ole Miss as just a three-star recruit but, like Will Johnson at No. 21, dominated in Year 1. He ranked in the top 10 in college football in rushing yards (1,567), rushing touchdowns (16), yards after contact (929) and forced missed tackles (76). Judkins also moved the chains on 91 of his attempts last year, placing fourth among FBS running backs.
Another college standout at RB was Jaydn Ott (Cal) - sophomore. In 2022 after first 4 weeks, he owned the highest rushing grade in FBS 94.4 – 8.1 yards per attempt. Ott finished off 2022 season with 897 rushing yards averaging 5.3 yards per carry and 8 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 46 passes for 321 yards and added 3 more touchdowns as a receiver. After first two games this season Ott already has 270 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.
If we have to address running back this offseason the top choice to enter the draft might be Bucky Irving (Oregon). Irving was one of the most electric backs in the country last year. Now a junior, but as a sophomore he forced a missed tackle on 43% of his attempts, which ranked second in the country. It was also the fifth-best single-season mark since PFF began charting college football in 2014. First three games Irvin is averaging 8.0 yards per carry, 216 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns.
Thanks for the correction - and - the additional amazingly detailed information.
Maybe you should apply to the Colts to be an area scout?

VERY interesting read about the 5 steps in the NFL concussion protocol program plus figures from the 2022 season regarding the length of time players miss when concussed.

UPDATE ON ALAN WILLIAMS:
CBS reported on Sunday that there was NO police presence of any kind - regarding Bears DC Alan Williams resignation.
However - the Bears "Human Resource Department" was a part of the discussion that led to the resignation.
No further details were shared - which is standard in employment issues.
