  1. I wonder if any of you have "tried to get back to your previous selves" following ONE surgery - much less TWO - on an area of the body that is difficult to place a recovery timeline on?

    Didn't think so.

I also feel that since the fans aren't paying Shaq's contract $$$ - then we should defer to those who see him in practice every single day - and - can appropriately assess his recovery and performance!!

    Best wishes to Shaq Leonard!!

  2. The "band-aid" approach to the QB position the past several seasons simply has not worked out.

The demise of Andrew Luck's career can be traced to our former GM - who played offensive line in the NFL - but - drafted only one significant offensive lineman in his tenure - C Ryan Kelly.

No quality linemen = QB demise - no matter what your name is.

  3. Time will tell as to a potential 2nd contract.

That said - Chris Ballard firmly believes in depth at the offensive and defensive line positions.  Rotational and/or substitute players DO play a role.

  4. I don't believe for one minute that the Colts have "a legit shot at the playoffs" this season.

Nor do I believe that there is "a decision to be made".

I do think that Minshew should be signed to be our backup again next season - but - I think that is the only REAL decision that needs to be made.

This season is about "growing a new team - with a new coaching staff - and - younger players".

  5. I voted for "play competitively" - because that is what I expect of the Colts each and every game - in ANY season!!

You play to win - NOT - to attempt to "flop" and assure yourself a specific level of draft pick.

We have a number of "winnable games" on our schedule - and - some that will be uber-difficult for the Colts to win.

Don't forget what they say about "any given Sunday"!!

  6. I wonder if there will be any "consequences" for Irsay for publicly airing his comments about what the NFL front office told him.

In my humble opinion - he has started a dialogue that the NFL needs to "man up" and start correcting inaccuracies IN GAME - rather than "admit and apologize" the following week.

  7. From what I've read - BOTH Will Levis and Malik Willis will play vs the Atlanta Falcons.

    Will Levis will START!

Looks like the Titans are holding auditions for the 2024 starting QB position - in a year which will probably be a rebuilding year.

  8. The NFL "admits it" - ONLY to the owner or GM - they are "not supposed to publicly disclose the information shared"!!

    OOOPS!!

I agree with Jim Irsay's suggestion for replay reviews on referee calls in the 2 minute window of both halves.

Let's be honest here - the referees have cost many a team - over the years - a victory - due to a poor or mistaken play call!!

  9. I'll kick this one off.

    I've currently made 4 trades:

    #1 -

    Received:

    RB Raheem Mostert

    K Younghoe Koo

    Traded:

    RB Saquon Barkley

    K Jake Elliott

    BOTH TRADERS BENEFITTED

    #2 -

    Received:

    RB Jonathan Taylor

    Traded:

    RB Kyren Williams

I BENEFITTED MOST - SINCE RB KYREN WILLIAMS GOT INJURED THE 1st WEEK ON THE NEW ROSTER

    #3 -

    Received:

    QB Matthew Stafford

    Traded:

    QB Russell Wilson

BOTH TRADERS BENEFITTED WITH THE BACKUP QB TRADE

    $4-

    Received:

    WR Josh Downs

    WR DJ Moore

    RB Brian Robinson

    Traded:

    WR Tyreek Hill

    TRADE JUST MADE TODAY

  10. There was plenty of blame to pass around in this loss:

    Steichen

    Minshew

    Colts defense

    Turnovers

    Miscues

    Mistakes

    Penalties

Referee's needing an updated eyeglasses prescription

Truth is - we were competitive all the way down to the final few seconds.

I can live with a loss IF the team is competitive!!

Let's be honest here folks - If you were told in the pre-season that we would be 3 - 4 after week 7 - you would have been thrilled - since very very few of the "talking heads" had us winning 3 the whole year!!

Put things in perspective - we are "growing" a new team!!

  11. Exciting game!!

Colts were competitive against the leagues #1 defense!!

I can handle a loss - as long as they are competitive.

That said - I look forward to the day that the NFL fields FULL TIME referees - and - holds them accountable the way they hold coaches and players accountable.

    Can I get an Amen?

  12. The Titans may be reaching the point of "cleaning house" - releasing and/or trading veteran players and their $$$ contracts - AND - obtaining draft capital in the process.

Let's be honest - they have definitely underachieved this season!!

    I concur.

The Patriots have been a stink bomb this season.

On ESPN yesterday - they shared a shocking fact about Belichick.

Belichick is 72 - 79 and only made the playoffs twice WITHOUT QB Tom Brady.

    HMMMMMMMMM!!

The panel felt strongly that there will be repercussions for BB sooner than later.

    UPDATED INFORMATION:

Bill Belichick quietly signed a contract extension over the off-season.

Even his former players weren't aware of this.  Several have suggested that he retire after the current season.

He won his 300th regular season game on Sunday - BUT - they are still 2 - 5 on the season.

Contract extension or not - I don't see Robert Kraft and the Patriots faithful being willing to settle for less than mediocre much longer.

Kraft would much rather "eat the contract" than to field a below-average team.
