  1. I really like Aubrayo Franklin out of all of these. He could come pretty cheap, and seems very good from what I've seen from him. Tommie Harris seems to expensive, and to be completely honest with you, I've never seen too much from the other 3. IMO, I think Aubrayo should be 2nd, if this is a top 5 list. Anyways, thanks for the mention! :)

  2. We were about $20-$23 Million under the cap going in, and the contracts they've paid out are really not as large as they seem. That said, I do expect some cuts/trades to be made. Bunkley was traded, and I expect our incumbent nickleback to be released eventually. Also, Vick is playing on the Franchise tag, and he's expected to sign a new deal soon which will help lower his current $16 Million cap charge.

    Ok so what's 21.5 - 12 - 5.5 - 5 - 2 - a bunch of other contracts = -13 - 20M dollars. If they were 21.5 M under the cap going in they couldn't afford all these contracts...

  3. I agree we have problems at corner, and we should go look for a good one out there... cough cough Asante Samuel. A good strongside linebacker wouldn't be bad either. You shouldn't be too worried about DT, we have 2 competent guys there, and we've gone to 2 SBs without good DTs. We need to improve our defense.

  4. I think this could be our year, and I'm not just saying. I haven't felt this confident about a Colts team in about 5 years (our last SB win). We have a improved line, which could mean a better running game. Our defense isn't looking so great, but I think if we're healthy enough we should be fine. I think Peyton also rebounds after last year's mediocre season.

  5. That's a great idea. He is a good tackling linebacker, with good coverage skills. He could play as a our strongside linebacker, even though he's a weakside. He is quick, but small and played in a 4-3 defense in Minnesota. It's a good idea, b/c my 1st 5 guys were resigned... :(

  6. We're lost or are losing Santi and Robinson, that leaves us with 2 TEs. I don't care if their the two best ever, they need a 3rd one. Plus I'm pretty sure Tyson is a blocking specialist, which is something we would like to have. Maybe get Clark in the slot, Wayne and Garcon on the outside, Tamme on the right side, and Devree on the left side for blocking purposes. It's a good pickup.

  7. Charlie Johnson was never drafted to play OT. He was brought in to play guard. Lets quit moving people around on that line and put them were they belong. I want to run the ball again in indy. Peyton can not keep throwing the ball like he is or he is going to end up on the bad end of a big hit and not get up or just plain use up his arm. He need to get the stretch play running again and the play action working again in indy. With Diem gone we need charlie at guard not staying out at OT out of position again.

Charlie Johnson played TE in high school, and then when he went to Oklahoma State, he was switched to an OFFENSIVE TACKLE. People say its his natural position because he's small for a tackle, and perfect size for a guard. It would have been better for him to play guard in college, but because he was a blocking tight end, and tight ends play on the end, they made him a tackle. So you're wrong, he was draft to play OT, not guard. He played guard during his first years, because Tarik Gleen was the starting LT and Diem was the RT, and we only had Scott as a guard; we needed another guard, so they moved him there. He's like Ijalana, very versatile which means he could play tackle and guard, something which is hard to find in a tackle.

  8. I like Tatupu, and I think skill wise, he's better than Brackett, but Gary is a great leader, and a great guy who is the captain of our defense. We can't just get rid of him, plus his contract is not done, and we wouldn't release somebody just like that. Plus the Colts aren't big in the free agency, and it's very rare to see the Colts pick up a big name free agent.
