Fantastic so whatever third pick bottom of the barrel loser coach we get is saddled with coordinators he has no say in.  Freaking fantastic! Just what I would expect from the dumpster fire that is the Indianapolis Colts.

we don't have an offensive coordinator yet...do we?

It will be interesting to see if we still go with an offensive guy for head coach.

None of those teams are remotely in the east though (I guess compared to the rest of the NFC they would be, but still).

I split the country in half as best as possible with AFC being on the East side and NFC being on the west side.  Then I just named them the same as they are now but actually used locations to determine divisions.  So, the east is relatively east compared to the rest of that conference.  Everyone in each division is as close as possible to the rest of the teams in their division.  NFC South and North is a bit spread out but can't be helped given the location of the teams.

Geographically, it makes a lot more sense than how it is done now.  For example, why is Indy in the South?  We are hardly in the South based on location.

How it is done now makes little sense other than possible some failed attempt at prioritizing rivalries over location.  However, rivalries would grow stronger if they pitted teams against each other that were closer to each other.  Most major rivalries in college are within the same state, not across the country.

If there was a change in divisions it would have to mix AFC and the NFC teams all together and then make up the divisions according to areas of closes to each other.

It would cut way down on travel times and also become a new rivalries due to the closeness of the teams. There would a lot less travel time for the fans too.

  5. The keep manning and trade pick and pick luck and release Manning have the same number votes. Not sure how you can look at the results and conclude that the choose Luck group is a minority (unless the results were a lot different earlier) Keep both is the only option that is getting any distance.

The only thing this poll shows is the fan base is evenly split between Manning and Luck.

Given the money situation, I don't think option 1 is viable unless it is only for a year or 2. Personally I doubt Manning would want to be on a team that is unlikely to to make the Super Bowl unless his desire to remain a Colt outweighs getting another ring.

The question at that point is do you want 3-4 years of Manning and then whoever we can get without the top pick or 15 years of Luck. I guess it depends on how good you think Luck will be and what you think we can find with a lower pick.
