2.7 I read. But yeah after that we're at around 15 to 16 million in cap space conservative estimate. Rookies and in season buffer take out 5 million. Leaves about 10 million to play with still.
I read somewhere that the cap space they say we started off with did not include what was needed for the Rookies. Not sure though.... I don't see why they would still be talking with Alex Mack if they only have 10 mil to play with...

Nicks won't be that cheap, has already turned down a 1 year deal for $4.5mm.
Who did he turn that down from? The Giants??? I dont think he wanted to be there.
-
It's hard to say until we know what the Costas deal looks like.
We don't have the complete details of the Vontae Davis contract but we can guess based on APY that pre-Costas we had somewhere around 17 to 18 million in total cap space left.
You only need 3 to 4 million to play with during the season and we don't have a first rounder and have very few draft picks anyways so I anticipate we won't need much cap space for them, maybe 2 to 3 million.
So conservative estimate pre-Costas we have around 10 million to work with for new contracts.
I think Costa got 2 years 2.5 mil but has playing incentives to possibly get 3.5mil

Let's bring the eraser back
-
They are saving money with this player but where are they going to go heavy with another signing..... All the good safeties are gone...... Nicks should be gotten for cheap.
-
All i want to know is how much he is getting paid?????????????
-
He could solve our problems until next years FA period or Give a WR we draft time to take it all in but its been said that the Ravens are out in front
-
Signing Mack my cost us the ability to re-sign Castanzo after the season. Collateral damage.
I don't think that will be ture. Castanzo shouldnt require a large contract unless he has a great season this year.
-
Man, there's got to be someway we can put together a contract that Cleavland couldn't match.
according to his agent he could put something together.
-
It really doesn't matter, we all knew there was mutual interest but the question is will the browns match what we offer. With our cap space im sure they will. You never know maybe they wont match since we took richardson off their hands.
-
If they can sign Costa for about 2 mil then i dont see a problem, He offers some kind of depth.
-
hmmmm interesting with them just getting revis. Seems like he would want to play with a shutdown corner
-
I dont see him coming here, unless its for 2mil a year
-
The colts have a glaring hole at safety but not really hearing much about who they could bring in or draft to start at the position. The bigger name free agents are clearly out of the picture but it was some FA that they could have signed for cheap. What do you think?
-
I think this would be a great pickup because you dont know how reggie will come back, Nicks was disgruntled in NY and the Giants was having a terrible season.... THE old ELI showed up last year.

lol did you see bills bodyguard toss that camera man

DONTE owes us so he must become a

I was under the impression the Buffalo didn't tender him, which is why he's been visiting other teams, and isn't free to stay in Buffalo the way he seems to want to...
I think he was referring to brent grimes as a RFA
-
either tommie will get one on one here or dwight and mathis will get one on one lol let the take their pick with that one
-
on twitter donte is throwing hints about buffalo, could he be staying????
-
I dont think the Colts are pursuing him enough for him to come over
-
Eh, I'm not impressed. I was blowing by linkenbach.
And I wasn't even there.
lol john is hilarious
-
Bad knees or not I still think Tommie provide us with a physical DT, I mean the bears only teach their line to punish punish punish... i predict destruction and fili moala will dominate this year IN THE BACKFIELD.

Daren Sproles would have helped us out BIG TIME here but i think his buying price was a little high... lets face it we would have only used him as PR/KR... Colts dont pay big for those...
What "Cap" money do we have left?
in Colts Football

I found this stating this is the cap space that we have.
Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson started the day with roughly $40 million in cap space. He used half of that $40 mill on today's players, with 1/4th of it on Vontae Davis alone. The Colts have roughly $17-$18 million in cap space left to work with. This is excluding money for draft picks, rookie free agents, IRed players, etc
