This is where they got the idea..
Look at that.. an NFL team.. in 2014.. Week 6..
According to SW1, it was fine when the Lions used it, because it wasn't in a playoff game.
-
Were Jets & the Lions competing for the divisional round of the playoffs that night? No, they were not. So therefore, that example has no relevance to what we are discussing. Please don't do a bait & switch thank you. This is about the Patriots decision to confuse the Ravens & befuddle the refs. I wouldn't take joy in that actually.
The Jets and the Lions were playing in NFL games weren't they? So it's completely relevant. What are you implying, that it's only okay if the game isn't a playoff game? What ridiculousness.
And in case you didn't know, the offense's entire job is to confuse the defense. Befuddle the refs, are you joking? They knew what was happening.

I have a HUGE problem with that deliberate act of deception. It's wrong & can never be condoned or endorsed ever.
So you're in favor of eliminating the acts of deception known as the play action pass, the reverse lateral, the boot leg throw, the read option, etc....you must be. That's what you are saying.

How can the Bills and Jags possibly compete with internet porn?
-
Furthermore, the NFL banned New England from using the play-action pass and the flea flicker, citing many teams' complaints that the plays were "stretching the rules" and "totally not fair dude".
-
Would you feel it was stirring the pot if oldunclemark posted it? He has posted Denver threads in the past that were not favorable toward the team or Manning and has received this type of response ...
You're a Patriots fan on a Colts forum. Do the math...
I could say something completely, 100% true about the Colts that isn't a positive thing, that no one can argue with. But because I'm a Texans fan, I'd get trashed for it. Just the way it goes.
-
If I had not posted it this morning, another poster would have ...
This I do agree with.
-
They won't freak out, because it won't happen
But if it did, they would
-
That won't happen unless they have home field locked up or they have been mathematically eliminated
That's why he said people would freak out.

Colts finished up as the 2nd best team in the AFC last year, with a relatively new and completely re-built organisation. I'm thinking we are doing quite nicely thank you.
Anything the 'Gruesome Twosome' throw at us is just sour grapes. Full. Stop.
Nobody said you weren't doing nicely.

A great qb masks defensive flaws.
That is true, but your front office wasted Manning's prime years with a crap defense. Not really a great strategy.
-
It's still better to have an elite qb and a lack luster defense than a great defense and a terrible qb
That works until you play in the AFCCG and get smoked. lol

Texans: 9-7
Colts: 12-4
It's not even a contest. The Colts have dominated the AFC South since its inauguration. That's not favoritism, that's fact. The Texans had to have the Colts lose Peyton one year and then the Colts to have a rookie QB and one of the worst rosters in the NFL the other year to win their only 2 division titles. I don't hate the Texans, pretty good roster, but I don't see how they could possibly win the division.
Is this your prediction for this coming year? Because you went 11-5 last year, barely winning the division by the skin of your teeth, again, barely beating a team with "no QB".
-
When we had an injured qb and a rookie qb.
Well last year we were a game away going the whole year with "no QB", soo...thanks for admitting we have a better team.
-
huh? In lucks first 2 games we went 1-1 so I'm not sure what you are talking about
Whoops got my games reversed...thought it was Bears and then the Jags game. He started out 1-2
-
Mallett has started two games. Hoyer was a back-up his entire career before last season. You have nothing against either of them.
Mallet is ahead of GoldenBoy...Luck was 0-2 in his first two games...Ryan is 1-1.
-
no, they just aren't very good
Well that means you think they're good. Also that they exist. So thanks for that.
-
There's plenty of QBs on the roster, actually. And I didn't know you guys signed Hopkins.
Mallet and Hoyer are just figments of our imagination, Qwiz.
-
To all y'all.
-
Rabble rabble rabble rabble
IMO, the Colts are still the better team. But the Texans should give some good competition.
Thanks for the chuckle! Without GoldenBoy you'd be 4-12 at best.
-
JIm Harbaugh took the colts to the AFCCG in 95.
One of your illustrious brethren cancelled out our two playoff seasons and called us perennially mediocre - so I am taking away two of yours during that span. Gotta hand it to you though, y'all did make the playoffs in 1987 with a 9-6 record.
-
Watt due a down year...best laugh of the night.
Watt's down year would be the best season a Colts defender has ever had. Ever.
-
Since 2002, the Texans have had 2 double digit win seasons (2011, and 2012)
Every other year, JJ Watt or not, the Texans have been average
This is a team that gets hyped up every year, just to go "around" 8-8. It may be 9-7, it may be 6-10.
Perennially Mediocre.
Colts would know mediocre, check out your season records from 1984-1998; that's 14 years, longer than the Texans have existed. If it weren't for two QBs miraculously saving you from then on, the team would probably be in San Antonio by now.

That's weak.
Yeah, it was.

If I was a Colts fan. I'd say this.
