Aussie sportswriter with little knowledge of the NFL live blogs Niners-Vikings game.

I watched the Tennessee game, I was really impressed with Mariota, with that said it was the Bucs...I can see him as a Russell Wilson-type QB, high football IQ who can move around and not make too many mistakes.
If Mallet gets his chance again (which I hope he does) all he has to do is not LOSE the game for us (which Hoyer did). He's got too much raw talent, you'd think he could become at least a serviceable QB a la Alex Smith.
I think Bortles is much better than Gabbert, but what is ceiling is who knows at this point.
I was shocked to see you guys down 24-0 yesterday. A little relieved, too...

Pat McAfee, just you watch

This is yet another example of the Patriots doing RIGHT TO YOUR FACE with no repercussions. I cannot even fathom how the NFL allows them to get away with this. Just look at this, from the Super Bowl no less:
Brady clearly acts as if he is handing the ball off to the running back...then fakes out the defense and throws it. You can see the Seahawks players look around as if to say "wth just happened"? This amount of blatant cheating is unparalleled and honestly guys, it will probably be allowed in every game they play. Unbelievable.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien today:
A few things. First, I'm surprised he even answered the question, seeing as how he normally deflects questions that he deems aren't about the Texans. Two, it seems to happen all across the league, at almost every game. And three, that it happens so often that they actually have a system in place to deal with it. This isn't some Patriots-specific thing, guys. This happens to every team.

Colts vs Texans is not close to colts vs patriots. You are within our division and our fans have respect for you. We hate the patriots. And every year, respect them less.
I get that, but seeing our franchise guy of 10 years go to the team that always seems to beat us? That one hurt. The "Andre Signs with Colts" thread at our forum went over NINETY pages.
-
No, you don't.
Yeah we do
-
. What's wrong with our DC?
I get what you're saying but why do we want him suspended?
Do the letters "OL" and "DC" look similar to you?
-
But he's a GAMER!
-
Woo boy, it's getting serious now, we're breaking out the Latin phrases.
-
Lol. No they don't.
Lol yeah we do
-
I'm not too familiar with him so I'm not sure what to expect. Do you know if he's played guard before?
He said he has, yeah.
-
He's insurance in case Duane Brown can't go by game one.
We need OL halp, he may get a shot at LG.
-
I think he does, yeah.
Just like Hope Solo got another chance.
Oh wait, she was never punished the first time. Good thing she doesn't play in the NFL (and isn't a man).

Dear God...
This is pretty much all I needed to know about you.
Well I know you are a sexist towards women, I guess that's all I need to know about you.
-
Knew someone would take my comments to that level. Of course in that instance you protect yourself at all costs - did not really think that needed to be explained.
Let me re-phrase - in the circumstances that were seen on the video or in any situation where there is no immediate life and death threat, there is absolutely no justification for hitting a woman - EVER. You simply do not do it. One, it is just an amazingly cowardly act and two - there is no good that comes from it. I don't care if she swung and hit first, don't hit back.
Why? Because they are the "weaker sex"? Pretty sexist man. Equal rights, equal fights.
-
Just because you aren't book smart and have a clownish personality doesn't mean you're dumb.
-
This was a rumor back in 2012. It got squashed presumably because Kubiak is a control freak who wants to run the entire offense himself, and Peyton is a "Field General".
Now reports are coming out of Denver that those two are butting heads about offensive control. Pretty funny that they ended up together anyway.

What's up with all the NYJ love? "Haven't had a winning season since 2010, but my god what a roster!"
-
If that were the case here, all 32 teams would be on this list. It's 14 teams that have this advertising agreement with the military that has so many people hot under the collar.
Meh, what I said still stands.
-
But what do these individual agreements between teams and the military for advertising have to do with the NFL? This is a team by team situation.
I'm pretty sure the NFL MAKES teams advertise what they want (again, see pink crap month or salute to service week).
-
According to this, that's not true: http://www.ibj.com/blogs/4-the-score/post/53171-colts-fire-back-at-critics-of-military-marketing
I said the NFL, as in, Goodell. The front office. The NFL that orders teams to wear pink and crap.
-
It's the NFL, is anyone surprised? They don't do anything for free.
-
No, the "majority" of fans outside Indy tease us about the circumstance, but they do not actually believe this garbage if they're smart enough to microwave a Hot Pocket successfully.
It sounds catchy...."Suck For Luck"....rolls right off the tongue. But it fails logistically in mammoth fashion. It is literally 100% IMPOSSIBLE to get 53 individual professional football players to ruin their careers in order to help a team that will most certainly cut them after the season. As we saw happen, we fired almost EVERYBODY. I think even the landscaping company got fired........
Did you not even read my post where I said the players had nothing to do with it? Didn't even read it. Way to go.
And just for posterity, these were posted on this board in the game day thread against the Texans back in 2011, first game of the season. No point in searching for the probable hundreds of other similar comments made in the next few months by proud Colts fans.
You don't think MANAGEMENT (as in, NOT THE PLAYERS) thought this too? I'll say it once more. PSH.
