  1. I agree that I think it was a mistake to let go of Nevis.  The only rationale I can think of is that Nevis is not the type to tie up two lineman so that linebacker makes the play.  He more knives through the gab and puts pressure on or blows up the play.  I would have liked to have seen him kept as a tackle when we do run a 4 man front on passing downs as he shows good penetration.  My guess is a 4-3 team will pick him up like the Bears or Bengals and he will excel.

I agree I feel the Colts never really utilized his skills, they made him gain weight and play at a position that really didn't suit his skill set.  Im like you though a 4-3 team will be more than happy to pick him up

  2. It really tickes me off that we let Nevis go.  That guy gave 110% every play, I have liked most of the coaches and Grigson's moves but this one I DO NOT like at all!  He always played hard and was a guy you would want in a locker room.  I wish him the best of luck in what ever comes his way

  3. Bah... DB is the 2nd best back on the team behind Bradshaw (who is a ? ATM) He is an underrated blocker and pass catcher and has good speed, balance, ect... lacks vision, but its hard to see beyond the backs of the O-Lineman being pushed into the backfield every season. Grigs made the right decision, parting ways with Carter, but it would be a mistake to get rid of Brown because a 7th round pick looks good in preseason.... even if he looks really good.

That's my point, even if our O line does get pushed back Donald should at least bounce to the outside sometimes.  For being a quick RB he constantly runs up the back of our O line or runs right into the pile.  I think he has talent but his vision is awful.  I agree our O line hasn't been the best but I'm ready to give someone else a shot and wasn't Alfred Morris a 6th round pick?  That's what the preseason is for, to see what kind of player you got in the later rounds.  I'm not saying he's Morris but I do think he looks better than Brown.  I say give the kid a shot, hell he might jump over the O line instead of running up them

  4. From what Ive seen Williams is a far better running back than any kind of return guy.  He shows good vision and nice burst.  I think I would take him over Donald.  Think its time we part ways with Donald

  5. I don't understand why they don't utilize his speed more.  I would line the guy up more on the outside and let this guy use his speed and power.  I would honestly move him around and even have him pass rush at OLB, hes to big and fast to keep lining him up on the inside.

  6. I really do like Angerer just for the simple fact the guy does play his butt off.  But I don't think hes a 3-4 LBer.  I think he is better suited in a 4-3 defense. I think hes too undersized but I wouldn't just cut the guy like Ive been hearing from some.  Let the guy fly around on special teams like he did his rookie year and we would also have a pretty good back-up in my mind.

  7. It amazes me how people can over analyze everything. I would rather have this Jerry Hughes than the one we have had the last couple of years. I think its just not Jerry, I see us having a whole new attitude. Which brings out some of the plays you're gonna get flagged for. I like the direction we are going. Even though we didnt get a lot of sacks, we were getting pressure all night! Our D line is improving every week and if we can jump out infront of teams, i think its gonna be hard for teams to throw on us. I know it was against the Jags but I was impressed with Butler. If you watch the tape, his footwork was really impressive and quick. I thought this was one heck of a pick up for us. All this being said, I'll take this Hughes over the past Hughes!!

  8. I think Jerry has all the tools, if he could just learn how to bull rush and hold his own against running plays. The guys gets blown up on running plays but this year he doesnt seem to give up like previous years. I think he has talent, just needs some good games to his confidence a boost.

  9. Zibs looks lost out there! At least give Joe a shot, i dont see how it could be any worse. I was really high on the guy too. Im not sure what the guys problem is, but he looks like the weakest link in this defense. I would have yanked his butt as soon as Green smoked him and just sat there. UNREAL!! tick poor effort, that is not Colts football! We may never have had the best secondary but I dont remember a time when we had a guy just give up so blatently on a play. All in all, GREAT COLTS WIN!! CHUCKSTRONG!!

  10. I agree, i was telling my wife the same thing during the game. Im not sure i have seen Zib in the mix of any of the plays. Put Joe and see what he can do. I had alot of hope for Zib but, man i can seem to find that guy any where. One more thing, i dont know why we dont use Nevis more against the Offensive tackles, It seems with a guy of that build and speed he would have one heck of a bull rush and the guy never quits on a play. I say line him up on early downs on the outside almost like a LB

  11. I love this pick! I have seen this guy live against Louisville and he was a one man wrecking crew. This guy torched the Louisville secondary and typically U of L has good, quick corners. I know it was against U of L but I was hoping to get him or Randle. Ive seen too many people on here judge before actually doing some homework on players. Believe me this guy will stretch the field.

  12. I think I'd like Ruben Randle instead

Just watch the tape on both receivers, the thing i like about Randle is he always seems to have his feet moving as he is catching the ball. Watch the tape on Hill, he seems to quit striding out as he is catching the ball, which makes for a much easier tackle. Randle to me is always anticipating his next move right after the catch. I think too many ppl get caught up in size.
  13. I actually like this pick. I know im gonna catch heck for it, but everything ive seen from both, you cant go wrong with either I think. And yes if it was my money i still would go after RG3. Too many people get caught up in what other people tell you instead of forming your own opinion yourself. Ive watched both of these guys play this year and when I watch RG3 it seems to me he just has the knack of throwing the ball down the field with accuracy. Like ive said before if we have the balls enough to get rid of a HOF quarterback and think we should have the balls enough to take a shot at RG3. I dont always like the safe pick. There just seems to be something about RG3 that intrigues me, I think this guy can handle what ever you throw at him. Good luck to either guy we go after. No pun intended

  14. Well ive switched my pick from Luck to RG3. I say if you have balls enough to cut a hall of fame Qb, then we have balls enough to take a chance on a guy like Griffen. I dont even compare this guy to Vick. I think he is pocket who has the unremarkable ability to scramble if needed and he has one of the prettiest deep balls i have ever seen. I think this guy has the (IT) factor, what ever you take that to be. Sure I think Luck is the safe pick, but im not happy with safe since we just blew up our whole team. I say we pull down our pants and show the NFL just how big our nuts really are!! Hey Jim pull the trigger and let it fly. Lol its only one of the biggest decisions you will ever have to make. Hey you made the right one about 14 years ago. RG3 BABY!

  15. IMO...i think wide receiver is one of the most over rated positions on the field. If i was to build a team i would start with the Qb, next O line and then try to find wr's to fit your system. I see too many good athletes in college that get over looked by fast guys in the draft and combine. I would look for wr's who first understand the game and routes. Then work on all the other fundamentals they lack.

  16. I say we go after a defensive minded coach and staff. In all my years of watching the Manning era the offense has not been our problem it has been the boring A S S, defense. I think this team needs to help out Peyton and this offense for once. I just wish we would have went after Harbaugh last year, thats the type of guy and character we need to lead this team. If we have to let Mathis go i say we go to someone who has experience with a 3-4 defense. I really dont follow other defensive coor. but I find it amazing the way Wade Phillips changed the D in Houston in just one year. Thats why i think while we are in the process of cleaning house we might as well switch up our play calling also and personally im getting bored of watching Tampa 2 all year. I think any true colt fan could be our defensive coor. 1st down.....tampa 2 2nd down.......tampa 2 3rd down........let me think (yea tampa 2 sounds good) REPEAT

  17. I do believe he is the reason why he have that nice stadium we sit in every weekend. He is the reason why the Colts and Pats had one of the best games of all time.

I do believe he gave this hoosier some hope of football in a basketball state. Yea lets trade the guy who brought us all this and much more. I say we ride this pony til the legs fall off. There is no garuntees that A. Luck is going to be the next best thing to sliced bread anyways. IMO i say we draft him and trade him for some picks. Give Peyton some more weapons and for Gods sake help our D!
