I still envision writing children's books solely because of Mr. Sendak. I did a research paper in college on his writings. I loved the illustrations, and he made children smile. I was one of them.

his illustrations are some of the best, I loved watching Little Bear with my girls when they were tiny tots and of course reading "where the wild things are", which has long been a favorite.
