Sorry need to change my tag line lol

My first thought after seeing all the listed starters not playing was that we should sit Luck and put Jacoby in. Why risk him in a no win situation. Then he gets pancaked in our first possession! But then the second half of the game happened and proved to me that if we could just field a healthy team Luck would find a way to win! Watching him play is an incredible experience

nelson is the only pick ive really liked from ballard
im ok with smith, never heard of the two defenders we took
There were a couple of DE's the Colts drafted a few years ago that no body had heard of before. Perhaps you have heard of them now - Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. Just saying that the knowledge to assess young talent is not possessed by simple forum posters such as we. I trust our scouts and GM.

Hello, younger fan (23) here. Most of the younger friends and I believe Luck will be fine if he can stay healthy.
Biggest debate between young and old I think is uniforms that the Colts are so stubborn about.
Older fans seem to like the uniforms just the way they are.
Younger seem to be fans of all blue color rush or wanting change to our current uniforms.
And this makes us play better how?

It just depends on what we value more for the team. It also depends on who we go after in free agency.
We we haven’t had that true game changer on defense since Freeney/Mathis/Sanders. Think we all miss that.
We we haven’t had a home run threat for a RB probably since the days of James and the short combo of JA/Rhodes.
If we stay at #3, I don’t think there is a wrong pick between Barkley or Chubb. We’ve all seen what a high RB can do for you, Fournette, Elliott, etc.
Trent Richardson? Ugh ;)

I got his autograph years ago when I went to the Colts/Chargers game back in 1996. He was really cool. Of course I jinxed him, he threw 5 INT's that game
He is a great guy. He came out and talked to my husband's little league football team while he was QB for the Colts. You've never seen so many wide eyes and open mouths in your life - and that was just the parents lol. I still have my Harbaugh autographed stat sheet from that little league practice scrimmage.
Those of us over 35 or so that remember the Colts BPM (before Peyton Manning) revered Captain Comeback. I would feel fortunate to have him as head coach.

Locker room toxin? Who said that?
An un-named source lol. No really, someone I know that wears a Colts Super Bowl ring.

We could have had Kaepernick for nothing! Tell me in what way is Brissett anywhere close to Kaep?
Kaepernick is locker room toxin. Why would we want to introduce a cancer like that? He couldn't start at SF anymore and if he were still any good another team would have picked him up by now.

Robert Mathis - Wow I feel humble that I could be anything lIke the Ultimate Colt!

Soon as you said Luck's not gonna finish this contract I stopped caring.
He has a great point. Luck could do anything he wants. He could be an archatect, go into coaching anything at this point is better than getting the crap beat out of him every week.

Since they came to Indy. It was actually my Mother, a very proper English lady. She was hooked immediately even though she had no clue what the rules were. She called the players "her boys" and listend carefully as my dad explained the game to her. I still smile when I remember her yelling at the TV because she felt there was a bad call. I was grateful that the Colts were able to win the Super bowl the year before she passed away from cancer. She and my dad are watching the games together again. She was able to go to a few games and kept saying that we should get season tickets but never did. I decided when she passed that "life is short" and so went on the wait list and got my tickets the last year in the RCA dome. Season ticket holder
ever since. GO COLTS - GO INDIANS!

I'd start with the coach and gm. Maybe if the culture changed, we'd be more durable.
Oh, I get it. The coach and GM are out hitting the players in the ankles and knees with a baseball bat! Makes sense to me now ;)

Jeff George eeeeeekkkkkkk! When his Mommy ran on the field I though we had been transported to a Pee Wee football game.

After that stinker last night I must admit some concerns. Then again, when have we ever looked good in a pre-season game. As I recall, the year we won the SB we lost all four lol.
-
Going to all the home games except the second pre season game. Gave my tickets to a coworker as I will be out of town on family vacation that weekend. Can't wait to see all my "peeps" in section 409! Go COLTS!

I am torn between the Greenbay ChuckStrong game and the Chiefs AFC Championship game. Very different emotions but absolutely CRAZY! I was high fiving and hugging everyone around me, even the guy in the Chiefs jersey next to me got a hug. He was gracious in defeat.

That would be interesting. I assume Irsay will mentor Saturday?
Not sure he would need much mentoring. He has so much experience and is so highly regarded within the players union. I like it!

Have you not seen what Payton and Brees have done this season together? Just imagine Luck and Payton together.
You think 7-9 is better than 8-8?

The Raiders got two first and two seconds for Gruden, and he hadn't won a SB yet. A second for Payton is reasonable.
Edit: And the Raiders got $8m in cash.
That was a BAD deal then. After all Gruden won the Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's players. Dungy should have two rings and Gruden zippo!

Ballard continues to impress me. Talk about a diamond dug up out of the mud by the name of "MIKE MITCHEL". We will have to pay the man next year but we definitely need to. He is heads and shoulders above our other safety options not named Hooker and since that young man appears to have issues with staying healthy, we need that insurance.
