Yeeeaaaaaaah... One side of me wants to laugh the other side says, "Hmmmm that IS interesting!"

I wonder if Peyton will play more in preseason than he has in the past.
He probably should.
-
A lot of people have the Giants grabbing him, but he could definitely fall. Whether or not we will even take him remains to be questioned also. We have bigger needs at NT but admittedly there may not be one there worth the pick, but an OG or great CB could still fall as well. I would not be upset if we took Fleener though. It would certainly be a more "exciting" pick.
-
Who knows... Personally, I think switching those 2 numbers is a bit more likely, but of course I'll be rooting for the former.
-
He certainly seems like he has something to prove, but from his interviews he also sounds like a true team player. When a guy goes through an injury like that he probably now knows the value of earning your spot. Hopefully he can earn that starting spot. He'd complement Wayne and Collie/White nicely.
-
I can sympathize with your concerns, but come on... It's gonna be Luck... or maybe it'll be Robert Griffin, Oh my God!

i just feel like we should give our corners like thomas and ruckers more time before we invest a high pick on a corner.
If anyone could coach up Thomas and Ruckers, it would be Pagano, and we've not seen any indication on what they plan to do with them in the new defense, so you could always be right.

Yeah, I'm not too sold on our O-line right now, especially since all the nicer predictions I've seen for our line involve Ijalana being healthy even though it's possible he won't be completely ready to play until part of the way through next season. What do we do in the meantime?
And then I'd say NT, CB, and TE
QB is getting solved at the No. 1 pick lol
-
so if the first rated TE and fourth rated CB are available when we pick and both are a need what would you pick
If we are talking about this draft and not just any draft in general I'd likely take the fourth rated CB. If there was a tight end worth the value I'd pick the tight end. Fleener is an awesome pass-catching tight end, but not as impressive in the blocking department. Great pass-catching tight ends are kind of a luxury. I would not be mad if we nabbed him because I don't think it's a long-shot if we chose either way, but I feel like taking the 4th best CB might be of a slightly higher need. Additionally comparing tight ends to CB is sort of hard to do considering you field 2 starting CBs and just 1 tight end. So, even though it's not an exact logic, it's within some reason to say that since more CBs are fielded at one time that it has double the opportunity to produce talent than than tight end so the 4th best cornerback is more like taking the 2nd best CB vs the best tight end (a little out there, I know, but please say you at least get what I'm trying to say. lol)

I bought and sold my madden 12 game in like a 2-3 day span. I was a big fan of the 05-06 range of games (I think those were the right years), but I was very unimpressed with what I played in Madden 12. I'd be willing to give Madden 13 a try though if reviews make it look promising. But in the mean time I'm more of a FIFA guy right now. ^_^

Well fortunately "up in the air" does not mean: "It's 50-50". It just means it's undecided and who knows what can happen.

Wooooo! 3 seventh rounders... Wooooo! woooooo....
-
most likely three cbs will go in the first round. you really wanna pick the fourth best corner as our second pick
There is nothing wrong or weird about that. CBs are actually usually the most drafted position in every draft. So it's either we take the fourth best corner or we take the 9th or the 15th, etc... With cornerback being a massive need, why not take the best one available in the 2nd. I won't be upset if we take another position in the 2nd, but going with the projected 4th best cornerback out of the 30+ (there were 39 last year) amount of cornerbacks who will be drafted is still a pretty solid pick.

This surprisingly felt better than I thought it would. I think it goes to prove that I'm already behind Luck. Which admittedly Miiight be a significant reason as to why I'd be upset if we grabbed RG3... I don't want to have to get psyched up for someone all over again. xD
(DISCLAIMER: That's mostly a joke, I don't base my opinions off my convenience.)

I have to partially agree with 9. I love winning, and I would love to win every game, but at the same time I'm a little excited to be near the bottom working our way back up, it'll make the journey more exciting and it'll be wonderful to rub it in the face of all the Colts' haters that we earned out way back up to the top.
-
I can't picture this actually coming to be.
-
Yeah, I agree... I feel it's either that or we're gonna risk trying to land a good one in the draft which is a bit scary considering they could be off the board quick. (and we have other needs too)

And being chased around by a broom to simulate pressure. I personally was much more impressed by Lucks pro-day.
I'm not too considerate on the broom thing. I think it showed his mobility, but it looked pretty scripted (which is fine). I remember one point where he did a spin move to avoid the broom and it was clearly scripted I chuckled, but again, he shows he can move well in the pocket and adjust to make throws. And I give him points for trying something a little different.

No one that I would say I HATE. There are a few teams that I always root against no matter who they play.
Patriots- mostly the Manning/Brady competition that is gone now, though they will face each other this year
Raiders- the bad boys of old
Cowboys- Guess I am the only one on here that doesn't root for "Americas Team"
Agree with the Cowboys... But mine is more strictly from hating the arrogant "Texas Pride" mentality. lol

Interesting. So Mathis and Freeney are officially listed as LBs now?
Don't quote me on it, but I think Mathis tweeted something a week or so ago confirming he'd be a line backer and may have even mentioned or implied something about Freeney being one too.
-
You know...I look at this roster and even in a pre-draft state, I kind of like it. I've been really excited about seeing if some of the more underachieving players could be coached up to greater success.
-
What about Brody Eldridge? Has everyone given up on him?
Eldridge is a decent blocker, but unimpressive in the passing game. We could really use a pass-catching tight end. It's pretty common to have a tight end duo of some kind where one mainly catches and the other mainly blocks. (and of course they mix it up from time to time.)
Perhaps a pass-catching tight end isn't as prevalent as some other positions, but if we pick one up in the draft or FA he will certainly be put to good use.

I hate to say it, but I feel like our Patriots rivalry is all but done for now. We played a surprisingly tight game against them last year, but the rivalry was birthed from several Peyton vs. Brady conference championship battles. Now we're going to be a whole new team.
The exciting thing, however, is now we're in position to see some fresh new rivalries. I can't predict what team will be our next big rival, but if we take Andrew Luck I can see the following as some sweet QB rivalries:
Jack Locker: Play him twice a year, may be the Titans franchise QB if he can prove himself.
Gabbert- Go ahead. Laugh. Get it out of your system. Okay. Gabbert still has some time to prove himself. If he can then we're in for some exciting games each time we meet with rivals Jacksonville.
Tannehill?- God knows for sure where he's going, but perhaps he'll land with a team we're familiar with playing.
RG3- This one is obvious. We won't play him very much ever, but anytime they'll meet it'll have massive media hype.
Matt Flynn- Again, we won't see this too much, but rivalries can come out of left field.
HONORABLE MENTION: Brandon Weedon- Who knows if he'll ever even start an NFL game. He may be more than a handful of years older than Luck, but they both played in their final college bowl games against each other and Weedon came out on top. Weedon is an exceptional, mature QB who could make a big splash in the NFL.

Even though I'd get over it, I certainly would be. I like how one analyst put it: "Luck is like the kid coming out of Calculus with an A+ so he knows his calculus, and the RG3 is the guy going into calculus who has all the making to succeed just as well or more, but you've got to take the sure thing and that is Luck." -referring to Luck's pro-ready offense in college.
I buy into the belief that there isn't going to be 1 who fails and 1 who succeeds. I do believe they will both be awesome, I just feel like Luck is more NFL ready and then he has that "it' factor that I feel in my gut. lol.
