  1. Actually it was provided by Scott Kacsmar, the same guy who wrote the infamous "Aaron Rodgers is not a clutch quarterback" article after the Bengals game that they blew last season. It included a ton of similar stats that everybody ignores.

If Favre's interceptions negate everything, then so do Blanda's, Marino's Johnny U's and the rest of the HoFers on the 10 most INT'd list. And while were at it same for Peyton, Moon, Elway and the other HoFers who are on the top 20 most INT'd list.

He had a lot of interceptions, many many more than he had TDs.

  2. So you blame Jay's issues on the OL?   You are totally in left field, he had "good enough" protection against NO and has for most of the year.      He has simply plain sucked.

The OC was SPOT ON on that O's issues...       He destroyed his career by saying it to who he did but the fact remains.     It is obvious what the issue with Chicago is.       It is Jay Cutler.       Plain and simple.    He just got another STAFF fired.

He is near DONE in the NFL.   He just does not want to play.    And the Bears are on the hook for 26m over the next 2 seasons for this clown.       Good luck Chicago fan.

FYI - Clausen sucks even worse.

  3. The bad game is 1 thing. Everybody has them, but alot of quarterbacks manage to take their team down the field 1 time at the end to win it in spite of the bad game. Rodgers never does that. A few other guys don't either sure...but for some reason Rodgers gets a pass every time. If I had to choose 1 quarterback to play against in the last drive of a tie game, it would be Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers is so much better than Favre.  The entire world knows that.

  4. Theyre a high scoring team with a really good run game. I think they can keep up with any team like the Broncos and Patriots but the defense is iffy. There is no doubt we will have to face the Patriots on the road to the Super bowl (if we make it that far) but this will give us a great preparation for that. Especially playing away. Plus, i think that the Jets will try to take out alot of anger this game with Rex Ryans last game with the Pats. And the Broncos playing iffy. We may still have a chance at home field and first round bye!

    Go Colts!

If Geno Smith and Michael Vick are your quarterbacks, you have other things to be angry about besides Rex Ryan's situation.

  5. Patriots should be everyone's favorite to see win. Tom Brady is magical and handsome.

If not the Patriots, I'd probably root for the Eagles or Bengals.

Teams that would make me vomit all over myself if they won include:

    1. Broncos

    2. Colts

    3. Ravens

    4. Steelers

    5. Seahawks

    6. Cowboys

    7. Packers

    I always appreciate humor.

  6. An excerpt:

"In 2008, NFL Films debuted a special entitled, "Top 10 Records That Won't Be Broken." The No. 2 choice? Johnny Unitas' streak of 47 consecutive games with a touchdown pass.

The record, which had stood for 48 years, was placed on par with Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak in baseball. The closest anyone had come to Unitas' mark was Brett Favre's run of 36 games, which ended in 2004. In an era of increased injuries and ubiquitous parity, it seemed safe forever.

In 2012, four years after the NFL Films special, Drew Brees blew by Unitas and pushed the record to 54 games.

One year after that, Tom Brady made it to 52.

And earlier this season, Peyton Manning's streak ended at 51."

"Records are meant to be broken, of course. But they should also provide structure for comparing different eras, a task rendered nearly impossible by the NFL's most recent passing explosion. Effectively, we're in the midst of the NFL's "Steroids Era," a time when an above-average performance exceeds the best in history and an elite one obliterates it."

  7. Yup.  The Broncos' offense is not a "ground and pound smash mouth control the clock" type offense.  They want to open up a big lead, score lots of points through the air and play with a lead.

When you put Manning in NE in the cold and force him to come from behind with his arm that's not good.

Not good for Denver, but it is good for New England.

  8. I honestly don't see the Colts beating the Broncos this season if the Broncos are #1 or #2 seed.  Now, if the Colts get the #2 seed I could see that being a game.

The Colts can definitely beat the Broncos, be it in Denver or Indianapolis.  As someone once put it, Denver is ripe for the picking.

  9. I agree that whipping to the point of making him bleed is too far however I'm 21 years old and all growing up I would get whipped with willow tree switches, a wooden spatula, bare hands and all that good stuff. But I would say I gained from it because it taught me not to do that or there will be a PAINFUL consaqence. Then again it also depends on the kid if he/she is rebellious and won't listen to what you say/don't respect you as a parent then by all means spank him or her. Now if the kid listens and respects you then there is no need to spank/whip them. Bottom line is we don't know the details leading up to the situation...

Right. We don't know the details and we are not the parents of that child.  So we should mind our own business, as the NFL should have.

How many think of the possibility that AP may not want his kids to grow up like spoiled pukes, like so many children of the ultra wealthy?  Idle, with no interest in anything except pleasure?

  10. Thanks to my younger brother, OldManR, for sending me those links.

  11. I could but then again I didn't make any claim about bragging, I am not saying that it is not a possibility, but it is certainly not a widespread sentiment.  Also, using a particular avatar does not equate to bragging.

It seems to me that many of the posts on those links by purported Indy Colts fans are actually by Manning fans.  And they are obsessed by the "legacy" of a mediocre to bad NFL QB.  One with half again as many INTs as TDs.

  12. Uh, I am pretty certain that I posted weeks before GB that the Patriots would lose that game.

And I never said anything otherwise after that.

    So, no, you're wrong.

You thought the Pats would lose to Green Bay weeks before the game?  Do you likewise feel the Pats would lose in the SB to Green Bay should that be the matchup?
