  1. D would be the more appropriate letter. You can decipher that however you'd like. He was flagged and still doesn't get that it was a stupid/pointless thing to do. I don't think Gronk has the mental capacity to unlearn his natural tendencies.

The Patriots have a complex playbook.  I think "Gronk" has the mental capacity to flourish in it.  If he's a mental midget, he's a titan among mental midgets.  Many of whom have done quite well in the NFL.  Chad Ochocinco may not have been a Rhodes scholar, he could not grasp the playbook that "Gronk" has mastered.

The Colts would do well to have a TE with Gronkowski's limited mental capacity and football ability.

  2. I appreciate the context but what does it matter he's a professional you supposed to be above that

Gronkowski should be above that, but Sergio Brown doesn't need the same level of "professionalism"?

  3.

Just please quit saying unimformed things. It is insulting.  The Colts defense, which Grigson brought in almost every guy on it via free agency, was absolutely horrible.  Robert Mathis would have made little difference when a scrub runningback looks like Jim Brown tonight.  And they have absolute no adjustments, no answers, nothing.  It was like the playoff game last year all over again.

The Colts are going to win their division.  And they always have the ability to beat anyone with their offensive players. But you gotta wonder how good Manusky is. And this is not knee jerk. It is easy to look solid against bad teams.  But as soon as you put a decent offense in front of the Colts, their defense disappears.

The common denominator is the Patriots O-Line.  Who is Jonas Gray?  Who was LeGarrette Blount?  The Patriots develop offensive linemen, why can't the Colts?

  4. sorry than that's the defensive players fault for being out of position. How is bailing him out by allowing him to not ever look at the ball and launch himself at a guy trying to make a catch a good football play. That's how people get hurt. Knock the ball down or tackle the guy....there is legal ways to play the game and that wasn't one. Doesn't matter it's Denver or TY or gronk that is not how football is played. I promise you before we had helmet and pads NOBODY played that way so don't give me that is football.

Manning made Sanders get clobbered.  He served him on a platter.

  5. Probably because Brady's playoff record needs no defending. Blame him entirely for all 8 losses if you want, no problem; he still has the most all time wins at 18 along with the 3 rings, 5 SB appearances and 8 conference championship game appearances.

I bet you don't know who has the second most one and done's behind Manning?  It is Montana with four but no one much cares because he has 4 rings and the second most playoff victories behind Brady at 16.

    I liked watching Montana play.

  6. Nice post JM51. 100% accurate too. I just wanna be on record reminding everyone that I was defending Tom Brady after that KC Chiefs game & I knew that Tom & Bill were far from being washed up. I know you know JM51 along with GP, AMF, D13, VL, IWF, & all my other NE friends on here.

Yes, Tom had zip on the ball vs the Broncos, he was making perfect decisions, & he was overflowing with confidence. The guy was just in the zone. I will also concede that Brady came to the NFL with no glowing NFL accolades like Manning the 1st family of football did. When you look at Tom's Combine footage & fast forward to playing in 5 SBs & winning 3 of them it's mind blowing. Brady can win anywhere under any conditions & when Brady lost to the NY Giants twice that said more about a superb HOF pass rush than Brady himself.

Yes, I could easily see both the Broncos & Patriots at 12-4 & the AFC Championship Game now in Foxboro. The Patriots may not be my #1 team, but I do enjoy watching them & they are within my top 3 teams to respect & admire because they refuse to die & they amaze me every year despite injuries to Mayo & Chandler. I have a ton of respect for Brady & what he continues to accomplish year in; year out. The guy just redefines the word clutch.

Peyton Manning and Eli Manning have both eclipsed the performance of Archie Manning.

  7. Well the problem is essentially that we have 2 3rd down backs.  Bradshaw breaks easier so he can't be the primary back.

But say we had T-Rich and an actual primary back that can find the hole and run the ball but no Bradshaw.  T-Rich would be the 3rd down back.

Because he's a bust people don't pay attention to the fact that there are a few things that he does do well.

Trent Richardson would look a whole lot better if the Colts had Alabama's offensive line.

  8. Our defense still looked sloppy especially tackling. And allowing the Giants to just easily go down the field late in the 4th quarter drives me crazy. Why do some teams lay off defensely even when they are up a good bit? I never get that. Offensively, Luck wasn't completely on his game tonight, and part of that was because his OL couldn't keep the pocket clean. Other than that, we played alright. Wish we could have played Moncrief more though.

Luck made a veteran play when the Giants were confused while Coughlin was deciding whether to challenge that interception.  You would not see RGIII quickly get the team ready and complete a pass while TC was trying to decide whether to challenge or not.  Good play.

  9. I realize the point you are making OMP & yes, individual stats in a game already decided mean nothing in a game that a QB gets stomped in. At the end of the day all that matters is winning the game & securing home field advantage in the playoffs.

Your point is valid & a good one. Stats taken in a vacuum can be very misleading if a person doesn't view the entire game in context. My issue was with MOW not you or his argument rather BTW.

" I was just scoffing at the statistics he piled up." Fair enough. I was only using Manning passing yards to point out that for a person with a "noodle arm" no one would mistake Manning for say Tim Tebow.

There's not much difference between Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning in Super Bowl wins in Denver.

Tim Tebow had a great play and a great win in the playoffs.  With many fewer "weapons" (hate that term).
