I agree they are rare. That’s why you don’t waste a pick at 15 unless the 2 elite guys drop. Which they probably won’t. We can get an immediate impact player on offense or fill a big hole at CB there. Ballard has spent a lot of money on this dline. We are stacked and have a lot of players. You can only have so many or your hurting depth at other positions. Fix the secondary and some of you might be shocked how much better out good dline is. We aren’t bad there at all. But to take another step you need a better secondary. Everyone would blame Ballard again if he took a edge and the pass rush didn’t take a step when he ignored the secondary.

We have enough good. That isn’t what we need. We need elirte .its not smart to waste a 1st round pick on another Paye. That’s what you would be getting. There are maybe 2 guys who I would consider to be elite and they will probably go before the colts. Turner is one of them. We have a lot of money and players wrapped up in this dline. It’s not a need unless we had a chance at elite.

Ballard can’t have a team full of dline and tight ends and expect to compete. Then injuries happen and other positions are left with no depth.

Paye is a 3 down rusher. We need elite guy not more good.

no more 1st round pass rushers. Thst would be dumb when our dline is full right now and we need a corner. Especially if some of the high rated corners are there. A offensive pass catcher would have a immediate impact.

Yep. He had like 37% of the snaps and his pressure rate was third on team. I encourage people to go watch games we won at the end. Lewis was in most of the time at the end and it was his pressure that won us the game. I think his snaps could be upped a little bit to keep him injury free I wouldn’t go above 45% or so. I think they found a nice balance and how to use him in the most effective way.

I don’t worry about size and injuries. I have come to realize size don’t mean anything. Some guys just are good at avoiding injuries or just aren’t injury prone. Now saying that I don’t know if he has been injured in college. If not then I say don’t try and create a issue that isn’t there. Colds have to decide on the 5th year by May,

I will say this. Our offense is in a really good spot right now. I should be more excited about adding high end level talent in the secondary. It’s really needed.

Yeah I will agree with that. Their DC is do good. I think this could be Bradley’s last season if we infuse this defense with more young talent (which means higher draft picks) and he still can’t get them to play better as a unit.

Depends on whst you expected. 21 seems like the right spot for him. He is a 8-10 sack guy who can set the edge. He would of went a lot higher if he was expected to be a elite pass rusher.

Colts are not going to come out and say yeah they were close. The athletic said the same thing as Destin. Something happened that we will never know. Now one thing that does make me put the Ballard hate down for a second is the Chiefs don’t do much in free agency either. They draft really well and have good coaching. The reason they can let sneed go is they already have their replacement. The thing with chiefs right now is they have their QB so it covers up weaknesses. We will see if Richardson can get to that level. He he can colts see in good shape.

Our defense is getting older outside the secondary. Blackmon had 4 int last season.

I just realized without Blackmon colts don’t have any playmakers that can cause interceptions on defense. We need more playmaking from the defense.

Ballard specifically said we wrrr lucky that we had healthy WR all year because he said he didn’t do enough. So I think he will look to add one.

When the secondary is no good that’s what happens.

Adding an explosive WR in the first just addd to the offense and will make them better. I don’t think it matters who is starting. He traded a future 3rd to get cross.

This had been debated even on local macOS podcast that could simply mean getting Richardson back. They do need to get Mott explosive in the recovery but have yet to show they will. Gus was not very complimentary of Thomas all year. Ballard said free safety needs to get better. I don’t think they like their safeties at all.
