I do think we may trade down in the 2nd and pick up a 4th or low 3rd maybe.
Great pick at 1 right?
Love Latu
I actually this we may choose to trade UP in round 2, to get a coveted player
(WR or Cooper DeJean)

Troy Franklin still there, along with 4-5 other burners.
They just need 1

The doctors at UCLA cleared the kid to play And he played for 2 years without a problem
The Colts have a full time medical staff….. and I am 100% sure that they had specialists review him.
He has been cleared to play
Keep in mind these doctors would be sued if they got the prognosis wrong
The kid is the most advanced pass rusher in this draft
I count this as a big WIN- 2

Give up next years 1st and go to 4.
I may be a bit more conservative here but if we trade away next years first and find out that Richardson is NOT the guy … (it could happen)
We could be giving up another swing at QB

Market doesn't dictate that. Give them a 3rd and let them talk you into a 2nd, so that they feel like winning, knowing all along a 2nd was something you were willing to part with. 😉
Like the Khalil Mack trade between the Bears and The Chargers, when there is a significant contract that needs to be absorbed or upgraded, that is what you do. Chargers gave up a 2nd in 2022 and a 6th in 2023.

So there is some precedent.
That would be better

Just read where Albert Breer is now thinking the Colts will take a swing at moving up for one of the top three WR or Bowers.
I really hope they don’t.

Byron Murphy becoming popular pick for us. Is he a generational talent?? AKA, Donald. Not quite sure how I would feel about this pick honestly.
The guy is a stud

Colts trade up to 10-12 range for dallas turner when he starts falling
I think they stand pat...... he MIGHT just be there at 15

The Colts end up with Dallas Turner at 15

They are going to want a 1st
I would do it......

You might want to prepare yourself for DT... I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it could very well be a possibility tonight that we take Murphy if he's there...
Our star 3Tech that this team needs to function is now 30.
When does age catch up with him?It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we go DT with our first round pick
My first choice is DE , CB, or WR, but Newton or Murphy are tough to push around and bring pressure between the tackles
There are games where they took over

Cowherd had an interesting comment today
He claimed that 73% of all round 1 drafted WRs “ fail”
I caught the end of it…….
Interesting conceptMAYBE it’s a valid reason to not trade up for a WR

Latu or Brian Thomas

BTW, the comment "never pass on a great player even if it isn't a need" ... again.. can it be Byron Murphy(doubt it)? Can it be an OLineman?
Maybe
Byron Murphy / J Newton are BOTH fantastic talents
Not my first choice , but I would be happy with EITHER if they chose one
This board would need an ambulance if we went OL at 15
If we trade back to 25, JP Johnson is a REAL solid option as well
My first choice is still to take a DE / WR in round 1, but I wouldnt be surprised if we go another way

I didnt gain much from the video
I am sure it will make sense after the draft is completed

He is a pretty good returner as well like t.y. Hilton 2.0 because he is faster than hilton
Maybe
Hilton had a bit more muscle on shorter frame
I just see Worthy as medical tent dweller.........

Unless they draft both brian thomas and worthy
I am with you on Brian Thomas, he would be a great pickup.
HE scares the DCs that we would face
Someone will take Worthy in late round 1 or early 2
(I hope its not us)

I was thinking a bit about what Ballard said in that clip from "Behind the Colts", about "he's not going to get much bigger". No idea if he was talking about Worthy... but if he is... he's right. Whether Worthy ends up playing at 165 or 176... this is still extremely small and light. Whether he's in the 1st percentile or 5th percentile of athlete's in weight in the league, this doesn't change the type of player and type of worries you would have about him with any significance. So... in a way, I kind of find that conversation a bit pointless. IMO the question should be - okay. he is small... and he will always be small. Can we work with that? And can we live with the risk of injury for that small of a player? And the answer can be no here... I'm not saying we necessarily need to take that risk.
You wonder how many NFL hits the guy can take
I think he is an extreme liability when we run the ball as well
Brian Thomas or Latu with 15th for me

DeJean IMO is fast-...ish and explosive-...ish but IMO he looks stiff on tape. That's not to say Ballard wouldn't like him. I think he fits a lot of the things Ballard likes in his corners... except for the arm length...
I didnt see his arm length
Is he a Trex?

I see DeJean differently. He could survive in our zone, I guess. But I was previously talking about boundary corners who have the speed to keep up with dynamic downfield receivers in the NFL. You say DeJean has good speed; do you think he has that kind of speed??
Where I think he'd be best in our defense is SS/nickel, and because I view him that way, I think the value on him is in Day 2. JMO. I know a lot of people like him way more than I do.
He was the 100m champion in Iowa
He ran a 4.43 forty a week after being cleared to run at his pro day.
He said that he thought he could do faster with more time
Are there faster CBs? Sure
But imho he is the best tackler in the group

No doubt he's thin, and not a great tackler. The question is whether his speed and playmaking ability makes up for his deficient size/tackling. If you want a boundary corner who can run stride for stride with big time receivers, he's up there on the list. I don't think I'd draft him in the first round, though.
Mitchell is good. I see DeJean as a safety/nickel, not a boundary corner, especially not one who can run with the best receivers.
Respectfully
I agree on Mitchell
But
I believe DeJean is a great candidate for a boundary role in a ZONE that the Colts play the vast Majority of the time
He is a great tackler and has good speed
He would shine in our zone IMHO

First up: There’s been some concerning reports regarding A.D. Mitchell’s attitude as it relates to his diabetes
Notable people (including Steve Smith Sr.) have also noted that he appears to give up on his routes or not even try and sell them when he’s not actually getting the ball.
I saw that........
I was hoping that we could trade back and still pick him up
If he is a nutcase..... I dont want him
