Browns pick Darnold
Denver trades up to #2 to get Rosen
Jets pick Mayfield
Browns pick Barkley
Giants pick Chubb
Tampa trades up to #6 to get Allen
Colts pick Nelson
Tampa has Jameis Winston, why would they trade up for a QB?

Swoope was a proven mismatch in 2016 with luck he never got a chance to prove anything further last year cause he hurt his knee ending his season before it started so overrated is nonsense. Ebron isn't that great he drops more passes than he catches so 7.5 million that's not a good deal Ballard just contradicted himself again said he doesn't overspend he has now done it twice Autry was a backup and nothing more than a backup 17.8 million over 3 years 6.5 of that he gets this year then 7.5 million to Ebron who never put it together with the lions I'm sure a bunch of people will say I'm overreacting but that's terrible.
Swoope is a proven mismatch with 15 receptions in 2016? I’ll take the TE Eric(k) who has the most receptions to age 24.
186 to be exact.

At this point in his career, maybe a servicable OL-men, think 2010-2014 Joe Reitz-like, no barn burner but can fill in anywhere

I’ve got it, we are tanking so we can get Ed Oliver in the ‘19 draft
Seriously though, I feel confident we will see some nice additions after the FA dust settles and again after the draft.

Love the move, surprised that it happened in March as opposed to draft day, doesnt hurt us but may hurt the jets as any team could jump to #2 and steal the jets preferred pick
They are guaranteed one of Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. It's win, win for them
I get that but you are assuming that the jets view the three prospects as equals. I would guess that they prefer one over the other two. To me, Allen is going to have a career in the mold of Cutler or Bortles. Perhaps, Im wrong and he develops into a Big Ben type.

The Jets 2019 2nd rounder may feel more like a 1st rounder. I expect the jets to do their normal jets thing and pick near the top of the draft in 2019

I think it's time for Melvin to resign with us and now we have enough information to make Kyle Fuller an offer on his transition tag. The way the Bears are signing players they probably wouldn't match.
Fuller would be a great option, but may come with a hefty price tag. Being that the transition tag is north of $13M for CBs, perhaps 4y/$52M front loaded with a hefty signing bonus would get it done and be beneficial to both parties.

Glass half full, we still have plenty of money to resign Melvin and Desir

Does any ever recall saying to themselves “Man, Moncrief really tore it up today”. I’m sure that he had a few good games, but I do not recall them at the moment. He may get a decent contract, but i say let someone else pay him a few million for 26 receptions and 391 yards in 2018.

Then the Colts trade down.

My reasoning is that I beleive the Jets and Broncos will land a FA QB, making them more likely to draft based on other needs (namely the cant miss G from ND).
What free agent QB? The only good one is Cousins, and he's most likely going to the Vikings.
The Super Bowl MVP comes to mind. He is not a FA, but could be had im guessing. Also I could easily see teams rolling the dice on Bradford, Bridgewater, Keenum, McCarron or even Josh McCown.

Nelson is drafted before Barkley

Seeing these stats on play calling make me: 1) think we were fortunate to even win 4 games; 2) even more optimistic about next season.

If luvin Luck is wrong, I dont wanna be Reich.

He has been in several of the mocks ive seen on the forum. I agree...would love to see him in a colts uniform. As it stands now (pre-combine), it would be a reach to grab him at the top of the 2nd, but he will go before the start of the third. Perhaps, in a 1st round tradeback scenario where we pick up an extra 2nd round pick, CB gives him a hard look. Fingers crossed.
-
When he had those issue at the combine (fighting with the hospital worker and providing a dilute urine sample) I crossed my fingers we would pass. Thankfully we did. We were seeing a sample if what was to come.
-
I appreciate what he did for us, but I’d rather be developing youth at CB.

Feels like the colts asked the popular girl to the prom, she said yes and stood us up. We all know how this story ends...the colts go on to make all the right moves and create a dynasty, while the popular girl goes on to flunk out out of community college, promptly put on 85lbs and spend her days daydreaming about what could have been, as she shoves another spoonful of funfetti icing into her mouth...I have never felt as much disdain for the Pats as I do right now
That’s not how real life works. Yes the Colts get stood up the popular girl ends up being a stripper and you are drug into a club on your bachelor party and see her stripping and shake your head. Then years later she marries and old fat rich guy and lives the good life but everything you see her you remember the way she debased herself to get ahead in life. I’m sure the Pats will win out still somehow but we will always remember how they showed their true colors and debased themselves and their character to get what they wanted.
I grew up in the 80s, my story ends with an overweight, out-of-work McDaniels.

Cant remember who posts the “Dearest Mother...from you loving son, Andrew” post, but i need a laugh right now. Maybe something along the lines of McDaniels is the NFL version of Benedict Arnold

We got some bulletin board material for next year! (Trying to find some silver lining here)

Many suggesting the best thing to do for Foles and the Eagles is to strike while the iron is hot and trade him. I understand the arguement that the Eagles will never get morefor him than they would get now; however, having just lived this scenario with Luck, I would want to make sure my franchise QB was 100%. Foles’ 18-19 contract is 7mil...a team friendly insurance policy.

“The better part of happiness comes from our disposition, not our circumstance”.
In other words, quit trying to think of ways to make yourself unhappy (ie whining about not landing every over priced FA on the market). Rather KNOW that we are in good hands and have several Lombardis in our future.
