Since some of you want Braden to move from RT to RG how about signing Brandon Scherff to play RG? In my opinion, Braden needs to stay at RT. He's held his own at that position since coming in the league even after scouts said his arms were too small to play tackle. He still had a high PFF grade of 79.8 despite allowing 7 sacks in 2019 and you can count some of those sacks to Jacoby holding onto the ball long.
Scherff is seeking $14 million a year (Zack Martin money) and he declined the $13 million a year offer from the Redskins the first time they negotiated with him. They have about $38 million in cap space and might want to keep Scherff around. Depending on what happens with AC, you'll have this monster offensive line of LT AC, LG Big Q, C Kells, RG Scherff, and Braden RT.

That show is called "Get up." I say, get up and get out of here with that prediction.

I did a mock where I traded the 13th pick back to the Bills so they can Jeudy. They need a WR1 there in Buffalo as they keep building up that offense around Josh Allen. It makes perfect since for Ballard to trade back. Ballard isn't drafting a WR in the 1st. The class is deep, and you can get a solid WR in the later rounds. If Love is there in the 20s, and if Ballard wants him, he can get him right there. Love is not making past the 20s in the first round.
Why does everyone want to move Braden to RG? A PFF grade of almost 80 meaning he's held his own at RT despite scouts saying he didn't have the arms to pay RT. Doesn't sound like he needs to be moved.
If you want a Guard sign Brandon Scherff. Just 28 years old, and quite frankly the best RG in the NFL not named Zack Martin. 82.2 pass blocking grade and an overall grade of 75.0....Sign him.

I vote Love and Rivers, so long as we don’t spend 13 on Love and instead trade up from 34 for him. If not Rivers, then Brissett, and if not Love then Eason
It's hard for me to believe Love will make it past the Saints and Patriots in the 20s. Ballard could trade back with the Eagles or Bills to get Love then. Eagles need a Cornerback more than anything so that leaves the Bills. The Bills need a number 1 receiver, and Jerry Jeudy isn't going to fall to the 20s. Bills could trade up and snatch Jeudy at 13 and we take their 22nd pick and get Love then.

There is no question about it. The number one issue of the Colts this offseason is the Quarterback position. Even though Ballard said "Jacoby is our guy" the other words were "right now." Derek Carr will cost a 2nd round pick for sure, Rivers has aged, Dalton still has a lot left, and Jacoby is an uncertain at this point. Jordan Love seems to be on everyone's radar and rightfully so. The kid has great upside, the interceptions are an issue, but I love the talent. What you guys think?

I read the Saints are interested in Clowney. I would pass hard on him due to his injury history.
-
Vic Beasley is more suited for a 3-4 scheme. I'd rather have Yannick, but Ballard isn't going to dish out $19 million a year for him.
-
I love what I saw from Turay before his injury. His progression as a pass rusher really paid off.
-
I'm not buying that Jordan Love is a first round pick. I haven't bought it then and I'm not buying it now.

I wouldn't say this upcoming draft or even possibly the 2021 NFL draft will define Ballard as a GM, but this will be his toughest draft yet in my opinion. I realize that you have to draft best player available, but yet QB is always in the back of your mind. Whether he decides to pull the trigger on a QB, that could possibly define him. Hopefully the scouts and Ballard do the best possible job with the QB scenario because it's going to be super tough to pick in my opinion.
I agree with this. Jacoby's play last season has put Ballard into a position to scramble for a Quarterback in a non deep Quarterback class. Is our franchise Quarterback in this draft? Maybe! I like Herbert, I like Love, I'm 50/50 with Fromm, and Eason NO THANKS.

Great points and I like option 2 as well, only because I think as QB# 4, Love will go before we pick
There are 4 teams in need of a QB in front of us....... I cant see Cincy, Miami, Carolina or LAC passing on a QB.... it just lines up
In drills and actions at the combine, I am sure Love will do very well
After supporting JB initially, I see a career backup at best.
To me,....... you need a backup that you are developing to be a future starter, or someone you can trade for picks later
As far as Carolina goes, their best bet is to keep Cam if he's healthy. $21 million is not a big number for a 30 year old Quarterback when you have guys like Kirk Cousins making almost $30 million. That being said, I don't see them drafting a Quarterback in the 1st round. If they draft a Quarterback it would be in the later rounds.
Lets say Cinci drafts Burrow, Miami drafts Tua, and the Chargers draft Herbert. That leaves Love, Fromm, and Eason as the BQA. Best Quarterbacks available. There are no teams after 13 that need a Quarterback so its more likely Love falls to the 2nd round. DT Kinlaw, QB Love, and WR Tyler Johnson are my ideal first 3 picks.

Ok CB you said you screwed up make right ! You have the money too do so ! 1st free agency ! #1 Sign Nagu from Jacksonville he along with Houston and Turay will sacks galore !! #2 young kid Shelby Harris DT from Denver strong quick can rush and stop run will be pro bowler soon ! I like Hargrove DE/ DT but 36 yrs old. I like Danny Clark from green bay too young a stud DT. # 3 Sign Robbie Anderson WR from jets! #4 sign TE Hunter Harvey ! He along with Doyle Cox and draft another. Draft at 13th Isaih Simpson Clemson If he is their will be pro bowler like Leonard at linebacker can play some safety in packages n rush passer inside and out. I doubt he makes it to 13. another DT (Kinlaw Davis or Galimore. WR and another TE. Right Guard to replace Glowinski. and a CB also another good RB ! We do this and we will be tough both sides of ball. AFC South is tough Ballard you said you screwed up. Props ! This can fix it !
Hunter Harvey Dent

Has anyone else seen this guy play? This dude is a monster who is athletic and fast. I know Linebacker isn't a need, but Simmons not only plays Linebacker; he can play Safety, and rush the passer coming off the edge. Imagine him and Darius on the same field together. If he's there at 13, do you draft him? I know it's highly unlikely, but I would love to have him on the Colts.

In my opinion had the Colts stayed somewhat healthy they would still be playing. Of course it didn't help that Adam Vinietari was terrible and Jacoby was just average the 2nd half of the season. It's frustrating to see the Texans and titans still playing when I know the Colts are better. The colts beat 3 of the 4 teams left in the afc when healthy ( 2 on the road) and they match up well vs Baltimore. Spy Lamar with Leonard. This is for another topic but I truly believe if Andrew Luck had played they would be the number 2 seed at worse and be one of the favorites to win it all. This team was built and ready to win it all back in the summer. So what is the solution ?? Obviously staying healthy, average field goal kicker. Colts missed 15 kicks, opponents missed 1. And get a consistent starting qb. Jacoby is not the answer. Do we really want rivers, or even Tom Brady. NO. Derek Carr? He checks down a lot. Draft ? Like I said they are ready to win now. If I am Jim irsay, I am doing whatever it takes to get Andrew luck to play again. Of course make sure his heart is still in it with passion, but if it is you just get it done. Explain how the team really needs him and rely on him. Even if it's just for 1 year tell him. Get him back in the built all costs. He is a top 5 qb right now.
Adam really caused the team to lose some crucial games. At the end of the day, losses like that will come back to haunt you and they did. As far as Jacoby goes, he doesn't have the talent to put a team over the top. You need great Quarterback play to win in the NFL. Its just the honest truth. One of the differences between Luck and Jacoby is Luck gets the best out of guys filling in for injured guys. Jacoby can't do that. With Luck this team wins 12-13 games.
-
He won’t be there at 13 anyway unless Ballard trades up which I’m not expecting him to do.
Whoever drafts him is taking a big risk due to his injury history.
-
No thanks on Shenault. He's Kelvin Benjamin 2.0 even looks like him. I'd rather have Justin Jefferson in the second round. I love the rest of your picks though.

Let's face it guys, when Luck retired last August it put this team and franchise in a huge hole. What made Luck so special is his precession accuracy, getting the ball down the field before receivers break on their routes, his placing of the ball so only his receivers can catch it, throwing on the run, his mobility, and his scanning of the field. These are things Jacoby is not even close to achieving. The touchdown pass Luck threw to Ebron against the Redskins in 2018 was so on the money. Ebron hadn't turned around yet when Luck released that ball. Anyway here are my offseason priorities for this team.
1. Resign AC - (No matter how much it costs pay the man! Very important player)
2. Quarterback (Free agency, trade, or draft it needs to be addressed!)
3. Sign Amari Cooper, if Coopers stays in Dallas, sign Nelson Alghalor (Had his best seasons with Reich in Philly). Sign Austin Hooper, sign Yannick Ngakoue. Go after Chris Jones if the Chiefs don't tag him.

jacoby needs to go he is scared to take the deep shot and when he does once in a blue moon its 10 yards over thrown
What we saw from Jacoby this season is who he is. Do you expect him to come into camp a different Quarterback after having the entire offseason to work on being a better Quarterback? I don't!

Herbert has been good and has the NFL caliber arm.
My only worry, and this is extremely stupid, is that I have a nagging worry that he’ll become another Mariota. That’s my gut feeling that has absolutely nothing to do with facts and statistics.
I don't see the Mariota comparisons at all other than they both went to Oregon. Mariota was the victim of poor coaching and bad development. Herbert is much better mobile Quarterback than Mariota ever was.

If people thought he could play Quarterback don't you think he would've been a starter by now? I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints took a QB in the draft.
