If they planned on Luck sitting, then why trade for a competent backup. Tolzien would assure a top 2 pick of he started the yr.

Is it true he met with Dr Andrews recently?

I mean he almost sounded like Andrew's career is over......I was like what ???????????
When you look into his injury, it's some scary statistics.

How different could this team be if Irsay didn't waste yrs with the Clown Show?

The media should hold Luck accountable for the decision he made about his body?
Yes. He's a professional athlete. How does waiting so long help him or the team? Now it's looking like he's out for the year. So much for seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

He told Gruden and Donahue he wasn't playing - they said it in the booth last night. So you're exactly right - the handling of Luck this season was a train wreck. From the start. Management butchered it. I understand he couldn't have practiced the last two weeks, but from what we've read, and heard, what difference would that have made? Going with Tolzien, being forced to trade for a QB in September, taking up a roster spot on Luck all year, it is all a mess. Ballard missing on the OL he drafted and signed and the QB situation were not exactly high water marks for him in my mind. He really missed on both.
His handling this season? I'm still trying to figure why he didn't have the surgery when he lacerated his kidney. And these people (Luck included) seem not to be held accountable by the media.

Everyone, including the qb coach threw harder that Andrew. Looks like he's still a long way from where he was.

Costanzo needs to go. Its overdue. If you want an improved oline, get a new LT

Wait, this guy is serious?

Andrew seems like the kinda guy that will go down with the ship. He reminds me of Joe Thomas or Phillip Rivers.

If he messed up his shoulder snowboarding, that would be a huge story. But he was limited in practice like the last 2 yrs. Confusing.

I disagree with almost everything you have written.
If Pagano takes this team to the playoffs then he is likely getting a new deal.
In his FIVE years, Pagano has never had a losing season. Average coaches do not sport winning records.
Just because you want something to happen, it doesn't mean it will. Like it or not, Pagano still controls his own destiny.
A lot of avg coaches have winning records. It's amazing that Pagano still has supporters. LOL. I was part of the Luck is overrated crowd, now I realize just what he's been carrying his entire nfl career. And Chuck Pagano was lucky to have Andrew Luck in a horrible division for most of his career. That has changed. Luck is hurt and the division is better.

Usually a good player doesn't want a franchise tag because it's not as much guaranteed money as a long term contract.
There's a difference between a good player and a potentially great qb. Quaterbacks have leverage. Had he just asked to be franchised amd not committed long term, Irsay would have fired Grigson and Pagano long before.
-
Luck signed an extension after Pagano and Grigson got extensions. For a Stanford grad, not the smartest thing to do. He should have just played under Franchise tags.
-
He wants to be Jerry Jones so bad. Also, he seems to think he had something to do with the Manning era other than just signing checks.
-
This is an entertaining listen.

No on David Shaw. As mentioned, he's far too conservative. Just go back and look at the last gm of Luck's collegiate career. He played for a fg with a mediocre kicker and cost his team the gm.

Do we still not know who performed Luck's surgery?
