You mean a handful of top sport medicine surgeons on a short list? One that, "according  to  those  in-the-know, there are 19 high echelon sports medicine specialists  in  the  U.S.  who  are extraordinarily  equipped  to  meet  the needs of athletes" ? A list that include the likes of Dr. James Andrews, and Dr. Neal   ElAttrache?  Where Dr. Safran is also listed on it too?  OK!! Here it is-

People see his research and advancements in hip arthroscopy and think he is 'just' a hip doctor; which he is not. But it is a notable achievement in its own right.

There are many.  If I was an elite throwing athlete, I would consider Dr. ElAttache, Dr. Andrews, Dr. Altchek, Dr. Kremchek, Dr....  so many, too many to list.

I assume the hip is his specialty. He probably has people flying all over with hip issues. But, it sounds like they're shoulder specialist that are ahead of him as far as shoulder procedures go

A throwing program that is rehab from surgery or having been shutdown form a setback from surgery recovery can take a couple/few months... just to be ready for actual foot ball drills/practice.  Getting a handle on the mechanics early in rehab is preferred over poor mechanics in the rehab process that could lead to further setbacks.  Working with Tom House, while a good sign, is not indicative that he is ready (or even close to it) to throw in a 7 on 7 o 11 on 11 with people rushing in on him, blocking throwing lanes with their bodies/arms, and moving hiom off his spot and making him throw on the run.  That is so much more demanding than just throwing. It could be months before they put him under that type duress.  That is where he failed at his last recovery attempt. If he still has damage in his shoulder that needs addressed, even the greatest mechanics may not be enough to get him where he needs to be to be 'football ready'.  We all hope there is no damage and recover goes well.  But it will be some time  before we know.  Mark my words.

I respect Mort for reporting facts or highly credible inside information. However, I do not he is qualified to render an opinion on Andrew Luck's surgeon, Marc R. Safran M.D. : Chief of Sports Medicine and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center.

And I'll repeat this information until I'm blue in the face if necessary.

And yes, one of his sub specialties is shoulder dislocation, throwers shoulder, and shoulder stabilization surgery.

I think Mort has experience from his son needing a surgeon. Its 1 thing to perform that surgery on a regular person. Or even a collegiate athlete. But are pro pitchers and qbs flying to him to get work done. I think that was Mort's point. It's probably only a handful of surgeons in the entire country that an elite thrower would trust to cut on their throwing shoulder, is the guy Luck used one?

IMO Barkley don't make it to 3rd.  I think the Giants take him at 2. The Giants didn't even have a RB that would make another teams roster last year.  Add the fact that Mara has already said he wanted Eli to be his starter next season.

Could Mara been sending a smoke screen? Maybe, maybe not.

If they pass on Rosen, they're *. He's a more athletic version of Eli.

Chris Mortenson being critical of Luck is not exactly a media storm.

I so far see nothing negative on ESPN or NFL.com. about Luck.

He's not usually one to criticize star qbs. The point was, more of them will start looking into it and asking questions. A pro qb can't just go to the Netherlands to rehab without people being suspicious.
