They get that tackle there I believe the game is over. Of course, no call on Denver on the headbutt either.
-
Cribbs, learn how to call a fair catch. Wave your arm above your head. That said, the refs are doing about everything they can to hand Denver this game. How do you block a guy into Cribbs when you are side by side?

Give up the screen plays, please for the love of God.

No more screen plays please

My comment immediately after the roughing the passer: they are going to get a TD here. Sure enough. :/
IMO questionable roughing call. Seem plenty of guys go low on the qb without that call, hell Freeney and Mathis made a career out of it.

I hate the "real fan" arguments, but if you claim to be a Colts fan but are wanting the Broncos to win because of Manning, you arent a Colts fan.

How cheap will those #34 jerseys be after the season? Just about anywhere I go, all thats available are TRich jerseys (any surprise there?)

Healthy scratch, they don't want him to get hurt, saving him for trade bait. Hoping to get a blocking sled and a few tackling dummies in return in the offseason.

I've actually come to appreciate what Brady has done and continues to do at this point in his career, even with as many times as he's stabbed us in the heart. I would begrudgingly want the Pats to win.

Saving him for next week.

Just putting this out there. I don't think anyone is going into NE or Seattle and winning next week. So if the Super Bowl turns out to be this match-up who would you want to win?
After all the disappointment of the Pats knocking the Colts down over the years I'm guessing the obvious choice is Seattle. But now that Manning is gone it doesn't seem to me the rivalry is the same, and I've personally mellowed on the Patriot loathing.
Meanwhile, I know they haven't been at the top long, but I'm SICK of hearing how great the Seahawks/Wilson are already. Sort of like when the Saints came out of nowhere, the media plus their obnoxious fan base made me sour on them as an organization very quickly. #1 D + #1 rushing game = a very formidable team. I don't think Wilson is as great as everyone thinks, and when free agency eventually guts Seattle like it does to every top team, he will be brought down a notch or 2.
So... Who would you want to win in this match up.

Positive: I hope the Colts win.
Realistic: I don't think they will.
Some people cant understand that both can co-exist within the same person. And, being realistic generally deems you 'not a true fan', which I never understood.

Sitting here in my Luck jersey watching the early game, but I'm afraid the Colts lose this one. I'm afraid of seeing a game similar to the Cowboys game. Colts have a few 3 and outs, Denver puts up 2 or 3 early TDs, and that's the season. Hope I'm wrong.

Didn't hear the comments, but to the point I'm glad they let Manning go and drafted Luck. I was for it then as well. I cannot see Manning playing more than 1 more season, Luck will be here, what, another 10+ years?
I loved Manning as much as anyone here. But now that he's gone I've really gotten tired of hearing about him honestly. I know a lot of ppl became Colts fans primarily because of Manning. But I was a fan before he got here and my allegiance is to the Colts, not Manning. I've been a Colts fan since 84 when they moved to Indy, a fan through thick and thin, and before Manning there was certainly a lot of thin.
The right thing for the long term success of this franchise was to part with Manning as they did.

Did the NFL ever give a good reason for this rule?
I really don't understand it. It still takes awhile to get into the stadium.
So they could sell over priced clear plastic bags?
I'd assume it has to do with speeding people through the gates, so they don't have to inspect purses, safety, keeping people from sneaking alcohol or other concessions in. Just my opinion.

In fairness, if someone is going to their first game or they don't go often they might not know about the NFL rule regarding purses. And considering how far away you have to park, to have to walk back to the car to drop off your purse is a major hassle. How about they just set up some kind of locker service, charge $5/10 per locker to store the purse if you are unaware of the rule.
Was listing to Adam Carolla talk about some friends of his that went to a game not long ago in San Diego. They didn't know about the purse rule, got to the gate and we're told sorry, you can't take it in. They had taken a tram or something to the stadium so their car was miles away, obviously too far to walk. They ended up dumping the purse in the trash after removing the belonging. After the game, get back to the car, and realized the keys were in the purse. So this can cause some major headaches if you aren't familiar.

^ better than mine. You can go to stubhub, browse for tickets, and get and idea of what the view is from your section.

If I'm home, I'll watch Dan Patrick.

533. First playoff game for me. First game for my 2 boys (15 and 13) in Indy. We went to Cleveland a few weeks ago, that was their first game ever.

It's a sellout according to Colts official Facebook page. I no longer live in the area, but why is it moved from CBS 8 to local TTV 4?

If steelers win and Colts win, Colts play Pats, Steelers play broncos. If Colts win and Ravens win, Colts play broncos, Ravens play Pats. If Colts lose, who care who plays who.
-
Just throwing this out there....
I realize this isn't exactly a true representation of fan loyalty with tickets and going to games but on NFL ticket exchange, as of right now, available tickets for the next playoff game:
Colts 4200
Seahawks 4300
Cowboys 6500
Steelers 2500
So it's not just Colts fans dumping tickets.
Cribbs play/ Mike Carey (merge)

The difference between the Cribbs play and Bryant play is simple: Josh had control of the ball, knee went down, he still had control as the knee went down, hence down by contact. Dez was never down, he dove with the ball, before his body ever touched down the ball hit the ground and rolled. He was never down by contact.
