  1. We don't know that...we won't know what we have in Peyton until he suits up and plays and gets hit. He could get blindsided on a blitz in one game and bam down he goes to never get up due to this injury. We know what Peyton could do, we don't know what he will do at this point.

And he could get blindsided and be out due to an injury unrelated to his neck as well. Every single NFL player takes risks when they step out on that field. Maybe the Pats should of traded Brady because he could of injured his other knee or re-injured the knee he injured that caused him to lose an entire season.

Then again, Luck could be blindsided as well in his first NFL game and either lose the entire season or lose his whole career.

No NFL team knows how their star player is going to perform when they come back from major surgery. But to trade Peyton because he may get hurt, to me, is not the way to go.

  2. idk where you get this information. its like you make it up as you go along... lol. :scared: His surgery was for cervical fusion, and yes it has ended many careers. Of course you can type it into google and find it for yourself, i don't have time to research it for you. From what i remember, of course the healing process varies from each situation, but no QB has ever rebounded from it.. which throwing arm is important. Its the same injury that also took out his brother Cooper, if you want to know how serious it is. Of course he's going to play next year, but within 2 years the multiple surgery route is going to be frustrating for everyone, if it tears and flairs up again.

Cooper did not have the same thing. Spinal Stenosis is what ended Cooper's career before it even started. Peyton's problem is nowhere near being as serious as Cooper's.

  3. While coaching isn't helping, how can we stop all of their weapons? We don't have the personnel to match up with all of their weapons

They need to do something. I'm not professing to be any kind of expert. But anyone watching can see what they keep doing week in and week out is not working tonight and has not been working for the past 6 weeks now. If Coyer can not make adjustments then he needs to go. That's part of a Defensive coordinators job as well, making adjustments at the half or at any point in the game. As far as the players go, they should be able to learn more than one defense scheme.

I predict the game will be done over by the time the half hits.

  4. I don't think anyone is scared of drafting Luck. The thing I'm in agreement with some is, there are way more pressing matters than drafting a QB. And those matters need to be addressed for the next season. Otherwise even if Luck is drafted, it'll be all for naught because you draft Luck and trade Peyton, start Luck, he still has to play with the defense line and the offense line in the shamble's they're in.

Because if he does turn out to be Peyton Manning 2.0 it's going to be the exact same situation all over again. Once in a generation gifted QB stuck on a team that he has to continually carry week in and week out. That alone is not enough for this kid to win the Colts a SB with the way the team is.

The expectations being put on this kid is really unfair. Anything less than a SB his first year or anything less than better than Peyton is not going to be good enough for a lot of people.

Second coming of Peyton Manning? Peyton Manning 2.0? How about we just let him be the first coming of Andrew Luck instead of comparing him to that once in a generation QB in Peyton?

  5. The question is do you trade away your proven QB to start a college QB who has never played one minute in the NFL? Do you want to take the chance that he could very well be the next Peyton or that he could very well be the next NFL bust?

If the Colts take the gamble and trade Peyton and this kid winds up being the next NFL bust, they've done screwed themselves over.

  6. I thought having 8 teeth removed like I did this morning, but to my surprised that honestly wasn't as painful as this.

But I'm gonna turn serious here. Being 0-6 is not comparable to some of the things me and my family have gone through. I love the Colts, but I can name off a dozen things worse than that. Most notably just recently losing my Grandmother...much worse than 0-6.

  7. Luck could turn out to be the next Manning or he could turn out to be one of the biggest busts to come out of the draft the year he's drafted. The Colts are being expected to bet their entire future on a kid who hasn't seen one ounce of NFL playing time.

I'd rather the Colts address the issues they need to address then put all their money on one draft pick.

  8. Coyer needs to go. And we need a Defensive Coach who can come up with more than one scheme and be able to make adjustments at the half if need be. In last night's Packers and Falcons game, nothing the Packers defense did was working a whole lot in the first half, but second half Dom Capers adjusted and Packers wound up winning.

In my opinion, the biggest reason why these guys probably can't learn a new defense in a week's time is because they've been using the same dang defense for way too long. They should be able to learn a new defense in a week's time. If other teams can, they can. Problem is, the coaches are too dang stubborn to admit that maybe what they're doing isn't working.
