Can you say Superbowl 40 all over again?
I get sick to my stomach thinking about how Pittsburgh was just handed a Superbowl on a Silver Platter.
I have a feeling it might be even worse then that, that is if Leavy is rewarded with officiating the game.

The only thing worse then these bad calls?
Is if Leavy is rewarded with officiating the Super Bowl.

With Polian gone, we'll see if Caldwell really is the man for the job or if it really was him making all the decisions and not Polian.
I think it's a good idea they retained Caldwell. Cause if this GM stays out of the coaching when they play, then this is Caldwell's chance to prove he's the man for the job.
-
If it's true, I hope we get Spag. He's a much better DC then he is Head Coach.

Goodell...and I know I've probably spelled that one wrong...should have been re-evaluating teams having bye weeks for the playoff's. Instead of just re-evaluating resting starters when a perfect season is on the line.
-
Bradshaw just ran through Raji.
Looks like someone unplugged The Freezer.
-
Bless those ref's little hearts. They really are trying to help Green Bay out here.
-
Yeah, go ahead ref's...just try to reverse that fumble.
-
I went to the rest room and missed the explanation. What the heck happened?
They ruled down by contact even though the ball was more than being half way out by the time his knees did hit the ground. Ball was already coming out.
-
Huh, what?
So, now the ruling is as long as he gets down by contact, even if the ball comes out first before he hits the ground it's not a fumble?
-
Oy! 49ers are ^messing^ it up.
-
Ain't nothing going right for the Saints so far.
Kind of nice to see.
-
Huh? Unnecessary Roughness for that? Players get slammed to the ground all the time.
-
Jacobs is a beast today
-
Dang, Lions are lucky they have Calvin Johnson.
-
Maybe it's what he wants. If that's what he wants, then I don't see it as a downgrade.
-
I'm not happy. I wanted to see them win today. The #2 pick really would not have been all that awful. They still could have picked a QB to be their future one. Even not picked Andrew Luck, there will still be a boat load of players that could help this team out.

I still don't have a high opinion of Caldwell as a coach. But as far as the Colts beating a team with a 3rd string QB? The Colts themselves were playing with a 3rd string QB who had only just won his first NFL game as a starter the previous game. It's not like the Texans were playing with a 3rd string QB against a Colts team with Peyton Manning. Just because the Texans had injuries doesn't mean their entire team was suffering. Yeah, Andre Johnson was out, but who did they have on the field? Arian Foster. He more than makes up for that.
I agree, a team with the Texans' record should of been able to beat a 1-13 Colts team with a 3rd string QB.

Welker "only" tore his ACL, and it was on a non-contact play so I can only guess it was probably not severe as far as that type of injury goes.
The timing of this is just really bad for the Vikes. He will probably not be ready for the beginning of the season and will be on PUP until week 6 or whatever.
I thought I read he tore both.
In any case, I'm not counting Peterson out. I think he'll be back. The injury's bad, but at least it didn't happen to him at the beginning of the season where he'd be missing the entire season.
-
I'm glad he's not. It's felt so good to see them win these past two games. With my birthday today, the Thursday win was a nice, early birthday gift. Although I kind of wish the game would of been today.
So glad they won, and I'm rooting for a win the last game of the season. No way did I ever want the team to have the stigma of being the 0-16 team. Those guys don't deserve that.
-
Didn't Wes Welker also suffer the same injury? But he was back and it doesn't look like that affected him at all.
-
Not only that, in the post game comments Suh made it sound like he was just losing his balance and he had to step on the guy's arm to regain his balance.
-
I have a feeling the game will be over with before the half is done with.
I kinda feel for Painter though. Him playing against NE is going to be like sending a sheep to a pack of hungry wolves.

What I'm secretly hoping for is the cable goes out in my house that way I'm not tempted to put myself through the misery of watching Brady have the game of this season that day.
Are We Really A 2-14 Team That Needs All This Turnover?

I think we are. Something needs to be done in the off season. After this much success 2-14 just isn't acceptable. I could of bought them being 6-10 or 7-9 or even 8-8, but to go 0-13 until the last few games? Something needs to be done this off season.
