Taylor traveled with the team to Baltimore, signs continue to point to his return with the Colts.

looks like he is having a reality check. The colts and the rest of the league will be fine without you, get your but on the field and prove your worth. That’s life in the nfl!

Don't get your hopes up. Thats Richardson, not Taylor. Look at the following tweet.

Taylor ain't coming back. Quite frankly wouldn't want him to at this point. Can only imagine how he'd play still wanting a new deal, or the attitude he'd bring in the room right now. After that big win, the vibes are good. Time to move on.

Well….  I guess it’s how you define playmaker?

But personally, as of today,  I think our top three wr’s, Pitt, Pierce and Downs are all playmakers.   And I believe our tight ends, Woods, Granson and Ogletree can also make plays.

And for the group that has repeatedly said Taylor is easily replaceable,  he’s laughing on his way out the door.   Good luck with that.

Regarding Taylor, I dont think anyone is denying his talent. IMO, having and paying an elite RB is not conducive to winning a superbowl. History speaks for itself.

  3. Its a shame whats happened with Leonard, I have a feeling this is what we're going to deal with for the rest of his career. Injury after injury. Scary too cause they last time he had a bad concussion, he said afterwards that he had thoughts of hanging them up. The fact that its crossed his mind, before his two most recent injuries is scary.

Though on the positive, it really seems Zaire has thrived in taking over his role, on the field and as a leader.

  4. I actually like our WR trio right now. Pitt and Peirce on the outside with Downs in the slot. Downs will be a great chains mover, load the box, playaction pass deep ball to Pitt or Peirce one on one, I'll take those chances any day with Richardsons deep ball.

Also like our TE group if we do use them right this year.

Its really just RBs being the question. But I saw Zack Hicks throw some stats out saying, with a mobile QB like AR5, you don't need to be super dynamic as a RB, just a guy who can hit a gap hard. I guess we will see.

I personally have the most question about our OL instead of our play makers.

Jelani Woods in the red zone.

Zack Moss in the backup running back role

Rodney Thomas proves rookie year wasnt a fluke establishes himself as a starting safety in this league.

He was really a surprise that didn't get much hype due to what happened with our season. His production as a rookie from a 7th rounder was phenomenal. Love his instincts.

With his size and speed, why not try him at Middle LB and see how it works out, if it doesn't, DL is still there.  Would add more punch (no pun intended Shaquille Leonard) to our run defense.  Fast enough to spy running QB's and if he understands pass defense, might be good fit.  Just a thought.

Hes uber athletic no doubt, but theres limits to it lol. MLB is just not realistic.

He looks more like Freeney to me measurable wise.  It' all similar other than Freeney was 10-20 lbs lighter.  I don't know what the Colts plans are with him.  From what I can see he plays at pretty much every spot on the DL. I need to see him live to say more, but he seems pretty active on film and gets nice pocket push.  I think he'd be a nice addition to the rotation as a reserve to begin things off.

They've already said they see him at 3T behind Buck. Likely means Dayo strictly at edge now which I like.

I'll be honest, I don't have high expectations for this pick but I hope he ends up being great.

Why not? Not hating, just curious.

Depends on your expectations. If you're expecting him to lead the league in yards, you're probably gunna be disappointed.

I've been screaming we need a short yardage chain moving slot like Renfroe for years. Its literally so helpful for an offense. We now have 2 6'4/6'3 jump ball WRs on the outside with Pitt and Peirce. Downs is a perfect compliment.

I'm not talking about mobile QBs my friend. More often than not QBs just don't live up to expectations in the NFL. It's hard.

My point is that even if things don't work out, we'll be fine.

Forsure. Wasn't entirlet directed at you, just in general, the narrtive that AR is Highest ceiling, lowest floor, is not accurate imo.

Yep. Waiting for "the right pitch" will only get you so far.

This is our Adam Dunn moment. We either hit a homerun or strike out spectacularly.

This is one of the biggest fallacies out there when it comes to mobile QBs. At minimum, with his athleticism and a good scheme, he can be a serviceable starter even if he always struggles with accuracy.

  11. I think Baker is well worth the risk. Has the pedigree, the confidence and leadership. Young enough to be the future. Him and Stefanski had butted heads for a while, hard to work well when that happens, in any work place.

Reich has managed literally every QBs turnovers when they have come to the Colts, I think he could do wonders with Baker.

For everyone saying no, there really isn't a higher upside option out there. Of course its not 100% it works, but you have to take a chance. If he tanks, we miss the playoffs again, end up with a top 12 pick in a great QB draft.
