I'm hoping Conklin is there when we pull the trigger at 18. Maybe someone who can play G/C in the 3rd. That would make me very happy. Anyon see the video of Conklin in an interview stating he thinks he can handle JJ Watt! Kid has major backbone!

I saw the vid on Nfl.com today.

  3. Man, this thread is playing with my emotions lol! Dickerson is the reason I started Pop Warner ball back in the day. He was the "Man"in his prime, just like AP. Even have a Dickerson autographed HoF football I picked up the year he was inducted :) But for my $$, EJ was one of the best "all around" running backs of all time. He's cut from the same cloth as the likes of Jim Brown. Before anyone bash's me for that last statement, let's not forget EJ took Browns record for most scrimmage yards. Which goes to show you how important moving the chains were to EJ's overall game. Not to leave out the likes of Lenny Moore, I just have a limited knowledge(but what I have read/seen of him, he was super fast and elusive).

  4. Agree. For my 2 cents, I prefer what DA brings to the table more than Fleener. Fleener's drop's, coupled with the fact that Pop Warner defenses could bring him down are all the reason to let him walk. Just not worth top $$ since we have so many other needs. Fleener's too soft for my taste. JMO

  5. There aren't enough words of gratitude to let Peyton know how much he means to my family. The classiest person I have ever had the opportunity to watch play a game that means so much to many. You will be missed greatly on the gridiron. #PassingOfTheGuard/#GOAT/#ColtForLife.

  6. Totally agree with the OP. Been coming here for years to the forums, because there are more educated(Football knowledge) fans found here than any other forum I've ever visited. Excellent source of factual info. Keep it coming.

no pass rush and a bum foot... not to mention mr toler opposite of him.

This. Toler has to go. Now there's a soft player if there ever was one. Doesn't play when he's even slightly dinged up!

  8. ^This. With another offseason for our receivers to work on the route tree, and get on the same page with Andrew, they should be an improved unit. I'm holding out hope for a "Healthy" team this season, so the Colts will actually be able to showcase the talent that's there.

  9. IMO if the Colts can find real balance on both sides of the ball, a team that can keep opposing coaches guessing and not just exploiting whatever is the weakest side. Maybe then will be able to regularly get by the "Hoodie", and a cpl other coaches that have success against the Shoe.

  10. Just saw what Kiper mocked in the first rnd(center. In that vein, I ask any O-line guru's. What's more important in the "Stretch" play center, or guard? Remember how we set up our offense back in the "Triplett's" days. Would play like that suit our new ZB schemes better. Sure miss the stretch play.

  11. Knowledgable. He's held every FO position + equipment position in the franchise, going back to the Baltimore days. Love/hate his dad, but he was brought up to appreciate what he has(Irsay). Nice to see that Jim has been doing similarly with his daughters.
