I thought that Castonzo said that Freeney blew by him with a spin move yesterday in practice. Figured he must have been in at LT when that happened.
But yeah if CJ was here now and playing LT then I am sure Freeney would have beat him like a drum as well. Heck, I am sure he probably did many times in practice last year. We just never heard about it.
Well what i should of said was link was playing with the 1st unit and costanzo with the 2nd but they both got a dose of freeney.

He wasn't brought up a Guard, he wasn't drafted as a Guard, he has barely sniffed the Guard position.
He became a Tackle, developed as a Tackle, played mostly Tackle, and the entire world of professional football (scouts, coaches, etc.) consider him a Tackle.
In other words, anyone who claims he's a "natural" Guard, has absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
He's mediocre and going up against one of the best. That's why he's getting beat. Nothing else is accurate.

He wouldn't be playing LT on our line right now though. Not with Castonzo here. If he was still here I believe he would be somewhere else on the line. Vikes messed up if they want him to be their primary LT. Johnson has value as a versatile lineman who can play multiple positions along the line but if they paid him that money for his LT skills they were delusional. Peyton's quick release covered up his flaws pretty much.
Linkenbach was starting at LT, CJ would of totally been in Links place if he was still here.

I don't care about any of this until he performs in the pre season. It's a lot easier to do this when you know you won't get touched. I guess it's a positive though he does have the ability to make tough throws.

I'm interested to see the battle of Ernie Sims vs. Kavell Conner for an OLB spot. I will give the edge to Conner to win it though.

Well if he was still with us, it would be Freeney beating him like a drum!!

i had a feeling he would want a lot of moolah..hes better than avg whoever said that and hes versitle..that means more 2 teams not called the colts bcuz howard mudd made ever1 versitle..for the most part..
idk what i think about this..if we keep CJ that is great and our O-line looks solid
if we loose CJ..we got more money for the D..sign tommie harris..asante samuel..bolster our depth..somethin like 1 of those
if i had 2 guess hes prolly tryin 2 get around 6 mil
At least me calling him average is better then what pro football focus thinks about him!!
They said he was the 8th worst tackle in the whole league.

If he wants a better deal then he could find it somewhere else!! Colts don't need to pay a lot of money for an average tackle/guard. It's not seeming like other teams are trying hard to sign him either. I do hope he comes back but at reasonable price.

my list, if all teams were healthy.
1.Packers
2.Steelers

Dane Sanzenbacher will be picked up by the colts!! They almost picked him up in the 6th rd and he should be very high on their list.

LT- Castonzo
LG- Devan/CJ
C- Saturday
RG- Ijalana
RT- CJ/Link
This is how i would like the O-line to look like but have doubts that any of our rookies will be able to start week 1 becuase of the lock out.

signing Addai around 3-4 million per year seems to be fair, if he wants more then let him walk. I do like Addai though and hope he comes back at a reasonable price.
Which rookie will have the most success?

I wouldn't mind seeing Ijalana getting a shot at RG at some point during the season. Mike Pollack isn't very good and Jacques McClendon is just a big question mark. The only guard i'm ok with now is Kyle Devan. I still don't understand why we brought Diem back, he was bad in pass protection and run blocking last year :pullhair:
