  1. 1st half of year, way better than I expected.  Second half of the year, a little worse than I expected.  Overall should be slightly happy, but after such a strong showing the first half of the year, I got my hopes up and ended sadly.

I think it really started for me when they benched Williams.

  2. We need to get away from zone D.  It's clearly not working.  If we can get some man corners and Turay back and maybe draft D line we might be able to get more pressure.  But we need QB, WR, and now maybe even a LT so... good luck.  Lol.

  3. This team cant catch a break.  If he retires the Colts will be stuck in mediocrity for years unless they can magically procure a stuff QB and T in draft or FA... but I doubt that's gonna happen.

I just have this sinking feeling that we wont be contenders for another 5+ years.  And it all started with Luck pulling the plug.

  4. This year has been full of "who is going to play x position" minus our offensive line.  Our team looks like a bunch of practice squad spinoffs at this point.  And we are playing like it.  On to 2020.

  5. QB, WR, D Line.  Secondary play would improve by having ANY semblance of pass rush.  They do need improvement too but the pressure normally borders somewhere between pathetic and indistinguishable from putting a handful of lobsters on the field.

QB play is bad, JB regressed mightily.  Last night looked like we brought back Painter.

WR has been awful too, mostly due to an insane number of injuries, but also because everyone apparently has detachable hands and keeps forgetting to attach them before the games.  A QB launching rockets over the heads of Grecian cyclopses doesnt help either.

At least our LBs and OL (when JB isnt standing there like a deer in train lights) look pretty good......

  6. Brissett is a nice guy and I hate watching him struggle like this, but... I think we've seen all that we need to see.  We need to get a 1st round QB somehow or beg and plead for Luck back (which is also a wild card because he could just leave again in a year).  JB is a good backup but that's it.  I can't watch this garbage anymore, too many flashbacks for the game I went to 8 years ago where we lost by like 60.

    100pc agree.

I love Frank and Matt, but that was one of their worst games in terms of coaching since they arrived.

The defense, except from some situational play, was a complete mess. Honestly it looked like they didn't prepare right for this game, leaving the midfield wide open for Godwin and others to exploit.

I hate these 3rd and long screen plays Frank calls. It's wayyy too conservative. He has no confidence in Jacoby to throw the ball on critical situations. Its sad.

Season is over anyway. But the coaches and the front office have alot of stuff to figure out next offseason. They need to be honest with themselves. This season has been such a disappointment from the positivity we had last year.

To be fair I dont have much faith in JB passing either.  6/16 in first half is bad.  Probably 4 in a row were stupid drops which is a problem with WR depth but he throws way high or low and like a sniper rifle which doesnt help.

  8. I'm a fan of JB as a person, but if we have the opportunity to get a QB that can throw a ball more than 6 yards (or throw under 6 yards at speeds less than 400mph) then we should.  We have a stronger team now than we had in most if not all of the Manning days, and would have (minus the horrible slew of offensive skill position injuries) been legit contenders with Luck.  There is no reason to assume the team will get worse under Ballard and Reich, so upping the QB play could bring us back in the hunt.

Obviously another WR would be nice but we COULD get there quickly with a top tier QB.  Anyone should be replaced if there are better options, regardless of position, if it improves your chance to win.

  9. There werent necessarily a pile of great kickers just waiting to be signed, so they were probably hoping Vinny got better.  Guess not.

Sad that his last game may have been the last god awful game against the Titans.  But stopping now prevents his amazing accomplishments from being forever tarnished.

  10. Optimism is good but considering basically our entire offense minus our OL has broken their bones and we are about 2 people away from calling up Jerry Rice out of retirement for lack of any other conceivable playmaking option, I dont think we will make it far.  Better to accrue draft capital at this point and let Kelly get experience at QB to see if he is worth keeping.

  11. I dont even know what to believe when it comes to favorites.  We beat KC and Houston then lose to a bunch of scrubs and The Bearded One.  Throw a dart, read some possum organs, or shake a magic 8 ball, all are going to be just as good at predicting our tachycardia-inducing performance.
