  1. Vonta Davis could not cover West for ****t when we use to play the Dolphins, should check out some of the highlights.

I think hes gotten substantially better since then, Davis that is.

Welker has also gotten a bit older.

We have contained Welker with worse defensive backs when we used to play the Patriots.

  2. Didn't we "anger" the 9ers? Didn't we awaken their "sleeping giant" I am confident that my horseshoe will make a pony out of that Horse (Broncos).

I agree, I remember how the Niners were supposed to come in the game so angry because of the annihilation from the hands of the Seahawks.

Anger only lasts a little while, all comes down to game plan and the execution of that game plan.

No one, I mean no one knows Peyton better than the Indianapolis Colts.

He is just a human after all, he can make mistakes. He will make mistakes, as we've seen the past two weeks.

All we have to do is capitalize on them and not make any from our sides.

Not saying we're going to throttle them, Im just saying we're not going to destroyed.

This game will come down to the wire, and I like the Colts chances at the LOS.

  3. that's because Fleener didn't drop many passes last year. It's one of those things that one person says and people keep repeating it when it has no basis in reality. The ones he does drop stand out more because of confirmation bias.

"He has, IMO, better hands and runs better routes than D. Thomas."

IMO, In my opinion. I do not have any stats or expert opinion to back this up. Just something I noticed with my own eyes.

  4. neither of those things have to do with him having better hands then DT like you said.

Agree to disagree, stats show Fleener having better hands, going by drop rate than star receivers of many teams. I believe I saw a chart where it showed he had better hands, stats wise, than Dez Bryant. As Ive said, stats arent everything.

  5. decker has some of the worst hands in the league. He has like a 12% drop rate.

Sometimes stats dont tell the entire story.

Peyton looks for Decker on key 3rd downs over D. Thomas.

    D. Thomas also has fumbled twice as many times as Decker these past two years.

  6. I dont think this was discussed in other threads, so thought Id bring it up here.

All this week Ive heard how Peyton is going to be angry, we're awaking the sleeping giant, giving them bulletin material, etc.

Maybe, possibly, however, arent we going to be mad?

We lost a very winnable game in San Diego, got flat out embarrassed because we failed on the most simple part...something Colts have done very well this year, execution.

Maybe it was a good thing that we lost to San Diego, because had we not maybe the Colts wouldve came in this game overconfident. Im not saying they wouldve but its possible.

We have been humbled, and it couldntve come at a better time.

I think every single Colt in that locker room, the coaching staff, the higher executive, even Irsay want to badly prove that we made the right decision when we decided to part ways with Manning.

They want to prove that we are still a team to reckon with.

Andrew Luck wants to prove that hes a capable replacement and is more than up to the task of filling the big shoes of #18.

In todays NFL, players earn way too much money for something as trivial which has been going on this week to become bulletin board material.

They are all professionals, in Denver and in Indianapolis.

The game will be decided on the field Sunday night, the better team will win. Denver may have Peyton and the most lethal offense the NFL has seen this century, but we have a few things going for ourselves also. We have the Lucas Oil Stadium, our home crowd, and we've got some LUCK on our side!

    GO BLUE!

  7. I think we should use Vontae Davis on Wes Welker in an effort to take him out of the game.

Eric Decker is the player you want Peyton throwing to...

..He's not as reliable and not a game breaker

Decker is still arguably Peytons favorite target, going by the fact that he leads the Broncos receiving core in targets and is 2nd in receptions.

He has, IMO, better hands and runs better routes than D. Thomas.

There is no one we can actually "take out" of this game.

    Best case scenario would be

    Davis on Demariyus Thomas

    Butler on Wes Welker

    Toler on Eric Decker

I know its going to be a nightmare attempting to cover Julius Thomas with Freemans concussion issues, but put Angerer on him. Hes not that bad in coverage.

  8. Sorry i don't believe Richardson is a upgrade.  Untill he starts averaging the yards that Ballard and Bradshaw did.  And doesn't just run into the line instead of going around them.  I hope he turns out to be what we wanted him to be.  But So far other then like 3 runs.  He hasn't done a thing.  And when Brown comes in and can get the yards he does against the same def.  Doesn't make me think TRICH is the answer.

Look past the stats for a minute, there is a reason Richardson is a grind it out back whereas Brown is being used as more of a change pace back.

When Richardson is in there, its usually a FB set and one less WR, defenses clearly know its a run coming. They dont assume that when Brown is in. The playcalling needs to get a bit more creative. Im neither taking anything away from Brown nor am I saying Trent is surpassing everyones expectations...just be patient.

  9. Be ready. They will find a way to make our win les than impressive.... They only find excuses for teams when they lose to the colts I.e. seahwks, 49ers

Oh Im sure the first excuse will be that Von Miller wasnt in game shape/rust etc. Then itll be that it was played in LOS not at Mile High.

    Shaking my head

  10. "Seahawks with Percy Harvin back"?

It's his first year there. They won without him last year and are doing it this year. He'll make an impact when he finally plays but waiting for Percy Harvin to play is like Bull fans waiting for Derek Rose to come back

Regardless, we'll be fine even with the injuries we have because we have players stepping up in their positions.

Every NFL team deals with some sort of injury, the Packers just a few years ago are a great example. I dont remember off the top of my head how many, but they had MANY starting players out for the year but they still ended up winning the SuperBowl.

Great teams overcome injuries, which I think we can.

By the way, with that comparison you are giving Harvin lot of credit. The Bulls are a playoff team without Rose, but theyre a championship contender with him. Without Harvin the Seahawks are locked for NFC title game, but with him I believe they can easily be SuperBowl champion contenders. You cannot rely on the hands of Golden Tate, Sidney Rice, and Doug Baldwin when the game is on the line.

  11. Just think how much better we would be with everyone on our team healthy and not out for the year (Ballard, Bradshaw, Allen, Thomas).  With Landry back probably next week and RJF back this week our defense will be even better.

That works for every team pretty much.

Imagine how lethal the Patriots would be with Gronkowski, who's still not back yet, and Wilfork

    Broncos with Clady back

    Seahawks with Percy Harvin back

Im not saying those losses arent big of ours, but technically we replaced Ballard and Bradshaw with a better version in Trent Richardson. Fleener was a higher round pick than Allen, and its finally his time to show it.

  12. Lol if you feel cool about beating Rex Grossman in a game where Manning didn't even shine almost a decade ago, go ahead. Puts you on the same level as the Cowboys fans living the glory days. Texans are about the future, and contrary to your petty argument aren't below you in the South. Reigning champs 2 years in a row.... :number1:

Its not about who you win, its the fact that you win.

Just like the Texans are basking in the glory of beating Andy Dalton.

  13. That's exactly what I was saying: It's about winning, not which team has the most division titles. And you haven't won anything since '06, so no, that does not make us automatically below you. We are the defending champs...if the Colts want the crown they have to come and take it.

The defending champs? Ooooh who cares about the division title?

The 2 SuperBowls that the Giants won, they won as a wildcard.

The SuperBowl that the Steelers won in 2005-2006, they won as a wildcard.

Enjoy your division championships. The Colts have their eye on something more important, something we've tasted before.

But...you as a Texan fan, of course, would not know what Im talking about, now would you.

  14. We've come within a game of doing so the past two years. Yeah, completely impossible.

The Eagles the past decade came within a game of getting to the SuperBowl 4 TIMES.

The Buffalo Bills went to the SuperBowl and came back empty handed 4 TIMES.

No one gives a crap how close you get, its all about winning.

Until the Texans do that, they are below the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South.

  15. Yeah, because division wins mean everything. All we have to do is win one SB and we'll be on even terms CF. :highfive2:

    All you have to do?

Get to an AFC Championship game first, which with the way things are going....seems really far away from the Texans.

  16. Along with this theme, Luck also led his team to wins over Russell Wilson's Seahawks and Colin Kaepernick's Niners. He's kind of standing alone atop the Gang of Four right now.

Just the way it was always supposed to be.

2013 brings back everything to normal.

Peyton Manning is once again the undisputed best QB in the league leading the most lethal offense in the league scoring 45+ every Sunday.

  17. 2012 was a truly wacky year.

Colts getting rid of Polian and company, Caldwell and basically his entire staff.

Colts releasing the man who built Lucas Oil Stadium, the Peyton Manning himself.

Colts finished the year 2-14 and drafted another superstar prospect.

RGIII, for some odd reason, gets all the praise over a guy who is coming back game after game from deficit after deficit to lead the Colts to a 11-5 record. The same Colts team which has two rookie head coaches, one who faced and BEAT cancer, one who is in his late 60s. A rookie GM who wins Executive of the Year award as a rookie, and drafted potentially 5 starters in the draft.

All this yet Luck still loses the rookie of the year award to Mr. Flash RGIII.

And then theres 2013, Colts are 4-1, leading their division and the Texans are in shambles.

RGIII is not even close to living up to his hype.

Andrew Luck is finally getting the recognition that he rightfully deserved from the get go.

After a completely random and wacky 2012, seems like 2013 is back to usual Indianapolis Colts business

  18. When did our "punter" start wearing his punters glove?

Not a big McAfee fan here... he is a punter and needs to leave the "all about Pat" distractions behind. I will say he does put the "I" in Team.

Jersey #1 with a horrible television show, punting/kicking glove and skinny jeans?

  19. Hey Texans if you give us JJ Watt and a first round pick you can have Hasselbeck...

I'll glady give them Hasselbeck, our first round for 2015 AND Satele, Im sure everyone in the league wants the future hall of famer Satele  lmao
