Watching most the draft call videos you can really see a good connection between Shane and Ballard. I think Shane is changing how Ballard looks at certain type of players and he truly seems excited about the picks

I think Shane is more of a football junkie compared to what Ballard has had in the past. Shane eats and breathes football.

As others have said: CB, FS, RB.

Taylor is an annual injury.  Need a vet RB that could be a receiving threat & block, too.

Secondary needs an CB and FS.

    Make it happen.

lol. Man, colts fans do this every year. Every year we think we won the draft because Ballard had a good draft in 2018. None of us have any idea how good or bad this draft will be. And I for one, do not give Chris Ballard the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Actually it’s quite the opposite. Usually a lot of posters are vocal in their disapproval of the players taken and skeptical. This is the first draft in some time where a majority of people view the draft positively.

Against the Titans, he just needs to pass like Minshew did because those dudes play the run very well and like to spear QBs and their shoulders (Luck, AR...) to the ground like a bad habit. ☹️

    They injured Peyton too.

That is why we got Anthony Gould for. Like the Josh Allen play in shot gun, motion Gould across with 1 WR lined to that side where he motions to, and call it when teams are crowding the line of scrimmage playing the run for a sideline pass for short yardage.

This probably sounds ridiculous, but from what limited tape I've seen on Richardson, I have total trust he'd be able to execute this type of situation very well. He seems to really know his stuff for redzone scoring.

Am I the only one that has full confidence in Hull, Sermon, and Goodson to get us through a few games?

I've LOVED Hull's drive ever since the combine where he ran every drill into the end zone. Sermon is good behind this line, and we saw that last year. If Goodson is RB4, we're set; just please, don't pass him the ball on 4th down.

I really liked what I saw in Hull as well. He looked really good at training camp last year. Hope he can continue growing.

  7. If all things go according to plan and Anthony develops into a franchise QB, then I'd say the '23 draft will be the single most important draft of Ballard's career.

    -Richardson, Downs, Brents, Rush, Scott.

Most of that draft class is crucial to the success of the team going forward.

  8. I’m still shocked Latu and all of the other defensive players fell to us.

He was never really on my radar because I expected him to be gone. Same with Mitchell!

And to think, all of this happened after we were unable to trade up.

    UDFA:

    QB - Kedon Slovis, BYU

    QB - Jason Bean, Kansas

DL - Jeblonski Green, South Carolina State

K - Spencer Shrader, Notre Dame

WR - Xavier White, Texas Tech

TE - Trent Pennix, North Carolina State

    OG - Dalton Tucker, Marshall

    Tryout:

    TE - Malcolm Epps, Pittsburgh

    OT - Jake Hornirook, Duke

Still a pretty busy day for UDFA.
