chill out on Basham it's so early . all our rookies are babies still

did you see the play calling on offense for the redskins? Their defense was masterful too. They played a hell of a game at home against the Raiders

Cmon man this Andrews team. But with that said Ballard has preached competition so hopefully this does nothing more than add more fuel to the fire that is Andrew Luck

Does anyone think he could maybe take over kicking fgs one day

Very good post, thanks for sharing.
Couple of follow ups from me.
I couldn't decide from watching the Jags game whether they were great or Ravens were really poor. Probably a bit of both, but the Ravens really were not the Ravens we have seen this season. Fully agree this division will be a much tougher prospect than in previous years. No automatic wins but I am sure we were only .500 in the division last year so room to improve.
The o-line still has its problems (some frustrating penalties early on) but, as you say, Costanzo wasn't the issue this week. PFF had him as the second highest rated offensive player (after Jacoby). I really hope Kelly coming back in with his leadership and game knowledge (feels like he has been here for years already) will help out.
The dream is we get to week 6 with Luck, Kelly and Vontae out there and we will see just how good the team is.
I know this is just an excuse and the jags played great. But the jags have gone to London a few times already and the ravens have not. You try playing a football game at 8 am or whatever it was. I don't honestly know if that's the reason the ravens played so poorly but that's my guess

its not about that
luck is paid 25 mil a year to play football, so that is what he will do as soon as he is healthy
next year probably wont be a super bowl team either. how long before you are saying we should tank then too? what if we go 0-2 the year after that... tank again?
yes I understand the man gets paid.. however he's gone through a lot more to earn that money than a handful of other people around the NFL. And if we go 0-2 with our next coach then I'll eat crow but until then I stand by sitting him for the year.

Sorry I've got nothing more, i can't think of one good reason to sit our healthy top 5, 25mill quarterback while it is mathematically possible to make the playoffs, you want to sit him if he's healthy or not?? I don't get it...
Agree to disagree then that's why footballs great.

Even if luck don't play, I don't think our draft pick will really be all that great, probably lucky if it's in the top 5. we have play makers on this team that's not just gonna lay down to get a to acquired a hirgher draft pick. I have faith that this team will go at least 8-8 with or without luck... to me it's pretty simple, if he's 100%, play him! If he's not.. leave him on the bench till he is 100%.
So we sit him the rest of this year, who's to say he doesn't come out next year and break his arm on the first play? Makes no since to me to sit a perfectly healthy player in fear of him getting hurt or trying to save him for something speacial... a lot of theses guys won't even be here next year. you gotta give it everything you have every game of every year...
I didn't say anything about what spot we'd get in the draft. But barely beating the browns to go 1-2 Id say we have a good start at a top 5 pick race. Either way I do want to see Andrew play of course I just don't see where it would make sense. Why not let him get back and get a whole bunch of snaps and reps and time to get his body at a full 100% and then come into a fresh season and a new beginning. This football team should not be anywhere near postseason action the way it is right now. I just don't see how it would be smart. Also how can you ever say you know for sure he's "perfectly healthy" we all know Andrew will play through anything and not talk about it.

my guess would be our coach but that's just me.

Mike Glennon won a game against Big Ben today....

watched the game at a bar today with my 18 jersey on. people really love to poke fun at our team. esp. today considering it was the Browns.. but a win is a win I guess

Really? Why not go with the best piece of our offense? If he gets hurt then we'll just have to go with our back up (Jacoby). I'm good with that. Lets at least give ourselves the best chance, then fall back on plan B. If Jacoby can survive till week 6 and hopefully secure a few wins. what makes you think our veteran (who's one of the best!) can't survive and get us the the rest wins we need?
Jacoby Brissett is younger healthier and coming from a great football program. Also Ballard traded our former first round draft pick for him. Why not let brissett play for the season he's been playing well!! Let luck heal FULLY and then next year when chucks gone Ballard brings in his guy and gets some more draft picks we can get this thing really moving! What possible good can come from playing Andrew this year?? None.
-
Totally against this. Our oline is so bad man and I don't wanna hear it'll be that much better when Kelly's back because Kelly doesn't play tackle!! Our oline is shot rn and to put Andrew behind that line for a freakin lost season is beyond dumb imo. The kid is finally healthy after 2 years now we're just gonna throw him to the wolves to get hurt again. What else do u expect from the colts tho ..

I wouldn't stand for having T-shirts with your name on it in the locker room. Not if I was GM. That is a very I oriented attitude in a team sport.
Its the coaches and GMs with the attitude of team first that actually change the culture to a winning one.
It irritates me when fans think something like that is no big deal, and then scream when we lose games horrendously. No. That one thing isn't going to make you a bad team, but many things like that, will. I'm sorry but the Colts have a Majorie culture problem. Among other problems. Yet, I'll remain a fan. Hopefully someday soon we will see our winning culture back.
Just remember these problems in the future I bet our new coach will help make all that go away.

Does anyone know if this is the same woman who did play by play for the chargers broncos game week 1? I actually liked her.

As a member of the state of Colorado, I can verify that Andrew Luck was in the ski lodge at Aspen. We were both taking ski lessons and Andrew wanted me to do a belly-to-back suplex on him so he'd flip over and ski down the mountain. Unfortunately, he got a lacerated kidney and many other injuries. Then, when I helped him back to the cabin, I dropped him on a pointy rock and that upped the recovery time from 6-9 weeks to 6-9 months. I apologize for being a fan and hanging out with my QB. So come at me! I still got an autographed Colts helmet, that's how great Luck is!
Still isn't worse than what this football team has done to him. Getting him injured is probably what he thinks the people who care about him are supposed to do now.

Snowboarding lol guess so. Im sure getting sacked 70 times didn't have anything to do with it

It's about time!!

Brissett comes from an amazing football program. He was brought in by Ballard those are pretty decent circumstances if you ask me
-
even though they're our division rivals I always liked john simon on the Texans defense. dark horse
-
And after that timeout we have 12 men on the field!!! That was pretty funny
-
Jacoby played a freakin stellar game. Couldn't ask much more from him
