What if Edgerrin James never tore his ACL in 2001? For those of you who remember, Edge was hands down the best RB in the league from 99-01. Before his injury, he was the complete back who could do it all. He was explosive, good hands, great blocker, and had some of the sickest cuts I had ever seen. He was the bell cow for this offense and made this offense special. So if Edge didn't get hurt and the Colts still drafted Wayne, Clark, and picked up Stokey in FA. Do you guys think the Colts would own a few more rings?

I think we would have won at least one more ring. (Possibly 2005 when we lost to Pittsburgh by a field goal) Edgerrin could take so much pressure off Manning, especially on the road and even in a place such as Foxboro. He could block, catch passes, or carve up a defense when handed off the ball. I know our defense was below average, but if the Colts had a lead in one of those games, or even kept it close, I think having a healthy EJ would make all the difference in the world.

I see A LOT of Edgerrin James in Saquon Barkley. Can you really pass up someone like Barkley if he's there when the Colts are on the clock? Andrew Luck needs a guy like Barkley to help take a ton of pressure off of him. Barkley is a stud at finding even the smallest of holes to explode through and his presence alone would help take a lot of pressure off of #12

I know a lot of people wouldn't want a RB with the top 5 pick, but if Chris Ballard pulled the trigger on Barkley, well let's just say I would be all for it. Give Luck Barkley, Another WR, And some Offensive Line help, and the Colts offense could be scary good in 2018.

If Saquon Barkley is wearing the blue and white Shoe on his helmet in 2018.

Look out rest of the NFL.

IMO I think cb could find a great rb in the later rounds. But no rb will have real success behind this oline (obvious statement I know .. or is it?)

  2. Wow it’s that kind of competitive nature that is why the Steelers defense has turned their identity around this year. Good on you mike Mitchell your name was popular for a while but after that interview you have to be one of my new favorite players. :scoregood:

Schlegdaddy is actually very intelligent. He's not a big Peyton Manning fan, but he knows a ton about football, and his topics are very spot on. He posts a lot of stuff during the draft season as well and is usually very accurate on it. Very underrated channel that's for more hardcore fans. Also does great wrestling channels as well.

His topics stretch well beyond sports too. His picture of Peyton choking always makes me do the Arthur fist clench though lol

  4. in all seriousness though every week for the past 4 or 5 years now it’s just the same story. The only difference being we’re blowing games in the 2nd half now instead of starting slow and picking it up late. Either way as long as chuck is our coach this is going to continue. End of story.

Belichick threw for how many yards in that last Super Bowl? If Manning had a Super Bowl like that, would you ascribe it to his coach?

At some point, it stopped being a legit argument and became the sour grapes of Colts fans.  Brady's greatness does not diminish Peyton Manning's greatness.  Manning was one of the greatest to ever play. But nobody except Colts fans thinks of him as The Greatest.  The most recent ranking I saw had him at 5th.

Peyton manning took 4 different head coaches to a super bowl (including John Fox, Gary kubiak and Jim Caldwell. 2 of them currently are nfl head coaches because of those sb runs.) Peyton was the head coach/qb coach/oc/gm at times. The guy was the most valuable player for his team than any other player in the history of the nfl. He still holds ALL the premiere qb records. He did everything you could possibly do at his position for a career. Of course colts fans think he’s the best, we got to watch him play 206 straight games and be an absolute beast every time. Peyton not only gave colts fans some of the best football moments they ever had but some of the best moments we’ve had in our lives (cue the 2006 afc championship). 10+ straight playoff berths with him 2-14 without him? Yeah nbd. Give Peyton Manning the hoodie and the defense ne had all those years he NEVER loses.
