  1. Whalen and Nicks are the same type of receiver. Nicks is the better receiver but that style of receiver is completely reliant upon chemistry, of which, Whalen and Luck have oodles and Nicks and Luck have none. Nicks is the type of receiver that won't create much natural separation but excels at making tough catches in traffic. Luck tries to improvise and Nicks isn't used to that, I think Luck needs to trust Nicks to run his route, no more and no less for right now. Whalen has had ample time to figure out what Luck wants and Nicks hasn't.

Moncrief has been here about the same amount of time Nicks has, and their timing seems a ton better than Luck and Nicks so....

  2. 1. Better o line play. They were physically abused all day long, Luck one of these days won't get up after taking crazy hits at this rate.

    2. Better pass rush. Werner or somebody has got to step up and get some hits on Manning. Hitting a qb once like we did against Pittsburgh is flat out unacceptable. Manusky and Pagano better figure out something quick.

    3. I felt like we went away from the run game too early against Pittsburgh. I would like to see us try to establish a run game, and if we are losing to not go away from it so quickly.

    4. For Pete sake, let Moncrief take over for Nicks. Nicks had a real shot to show his worth with Reggie being out, but fell flat on his face.

    5. A win and overall our defense must play better.

This is my list. Feel free to add more to it unless you disagree with something which is fine.

    Your thoughts?

  3. WR is always, I repeat ALWAYS the deepest position In the draft. But the 2014 class was unreal in terms of the amount of 1st round quality receivers. I mean look how good the class has been

    -Sammy Watkins

    -Brandon Cooks

    -Kelvin Benjamin

    -Allen Robinson

    -Jordan Matthews

    -Davante Adams

    -Donte Moncrief

    -John Brown

    -ODB

Jury is still out on Latimer and Mike Evans though. But it's not hard to see why Moncrief fell. It was a deep draft in general, but the WR talent was ridiculous this year.

Wow. Thats one impressive list. Most of those will probably be multiple pro bowlers.

  4. DHB 11 games started 29 rec 309 yards 1 td

    Nicks 8 games started 18 rec 168 yards 2 tds[/

    font]

    Moncrief 16 rec 216 yards 1 td

Keep in mind that Moncrief has only played in what? 5 games? He has as good production in almost half the games as the other two. Hes gonna be a beast.

  5. 1 thing that's being overlooked is how poorly our LB's claimed their coverage assignments.

I feel our coaches let us down more than anything when it came to blocking assignments on offense. The playcalling was asking for too much time for routes to develop.

Whoever was supposed to cover Heath Miller was a huge failure. He was open all game long.

  6. We just really got outclassed tbh. But you can't not put that on the defense. 51 points and your offense gives you 34? I'm not condemning anyone but that can't happen. You let the opponent score 50 and you're probably not going to win the game. Like I said there were other contributors too, but asking Luck and the O to score 50+ is asking too much.

Gotta look at the tape and go into the next game * off with a chip on our shoulder.

34 points is usually enough points to win. Most of the blame is the defenses fault other than how bad our offensive line was.

  7. Should start seeing him a lot more... How about T.Y. Hilton though? 866 yards and 2 TD's through 8 games...

Hilton and Moncrief will be owning defenses for a long time. Thats gonna be a heck of a tandem.

  8. I'm not really worried, but concerned. Our lack of pass rush today was concerning. Teams will most likely see how pitts stopped our pass rush and use it against us. That is concerning. We need a true pass rusher ASAP
