  1. I don't mean to split hairs,  but I wouldn't say the players left because of the coach....

I'd say the players were leaning toward leaving,  but internally you have to ask if you're leaving a good situation.   Don't want to leave and then watch your team do great without you.    Hey, you could've been part of that.    So, perhaps you're looking to see if there's a reason you might stay for another year....

Perhaps the players could see the writing on the wall and say....   I'm not going to physically punish myself if I think this is going to be a rebuilding year where the team struggles.

And I'm not saying this definitively.....    more hypothetically or possibly for me....    Just thinking out loud.....   I could easily be wrong.

Yep. Would a player who is concerned about their long term health stay another year for the shot at a title? Quite possibly. There is no shot for this team this year...or maybe a couple of years. I respect his decision.

  2. I feel like Reggie literally gave everything he had to playing, and left it all on the field. My guess is he's tired of being sore and hurt all the time, and is ready to move on to the next chapter of his life.

Plus, when you receive the key to the city, and have a Super Bowl ring, what else is there to play for?

I agree. I dont think Reggie has the personality or style to coach, but I hope there is a way he can return to the franchise some day.

  3. HaHahaha ... you have obviously never gone through this process. Let me enlighten you. What you see and the reasons you see it could not be further from the truth. You think it is harder to sit by the phone than it is to sit on the sideline without opportunity while others who may be inferior to you make mistakes with impunity because their spot is allready locked in? Common now, every one of these kids is a competitor. How do you think they feel being brought in and then never given the chance to compete. One or two reps here and there is absolutely not an opportunity or basis for any evaluation. I mean just look at the comments that everyone here makes about the camp body guys. What is the basis for this evaluation? Certainly not because you have seen them practice or play in the NFL. It's easy to be a fat guy behind a keyboard evaluating and commenting on things you have no direct knowledge of. Go live it and your opinion will change pretty quickly.

Thanks for your enlightenment. What does the fat guy behind the keyboard comment have to do with anything? Maybe "prophet like", hairy, malnourished, twitch in left eye, unshaven, with "Why don't we do it in the road" playing in the background.....but never *fat.

*(no fat people were harmed during the drafting of this post)

  4. What is it that you don't get. Bringing 50 extra guys to camp and calling it a competition for roster spots creates more media buzz that keeps the NFL in the spot light during the sesonal lul and competition from MLB and  NHL /NBA playoffs. Plus. when one of these guys beats the 50/1 odds and gets a roster spot and then beats the 10,000/1 odds and actuially becomes a star, what better  marketing material could you ask for. Everyone loves an underdog. If you just bring in your roster, PS and drafted guys to camp there is no perceived competition and nothing for the media folk and us chat folk to make a fuss over. Unless there is actual money involved it's all for show.

Any one of these players would rather be in a camp, or a squad, then at home staring at the phone. What amazes me are fans who feel the need to negate a move made by the GM to improve the team.

So they get a chance to meet the kid, see his speed on the uptake, and so on.....he gains some pounds, and late in the season or next year because we lose some players at the WR position we bring him in to the practice squad because of familiarity.

  5. Joe Horn just wanted to be talked about again. He accomplished that.

What I would like to see, is Roger step down and sue one or two of these *s for defamation to the tune of about 5 Mil each and win.

  6. Wish he would offically file retirement papers and retire as a Colt.

Sorry Reggie but the reason you arn't getting any calls is that you are done, you don't have anything left.

No shame it happens to everyone eventually and you lasted far longer then most.  But it's time to retire, get your name up in the ring of honor and push for your spot in the HOF.

Is this so that you feel more comfortable? Just askin.

  7. oh look another critic. im talking about playing style. im not saying hes gonna be like the players I mentioned

To post a comparative list on a message board is to invite criticism. If everyone one agreed on a sports message board, it would be creepy unique.

  8. Phillip Dorsett - Desean Jackson

    D'Joun Smith - Chris Harris

    Henry Anderson - Chris Canty

    Clayton Geathers - Adrian Wilson

    Josh Robinson - CJ Anderson

I would be geeked to see those similarities at the end of year 3.
