Fleener and Allen should be reversed.

I'm going to amend my comment about "the best player" comment....
What he said is that he's the best basketball player in the world....... not the best athlete in the world.
In my view, what he was doing, given the context of the question he was asked, is that he was publicly reminding his teammates that though they're down 3-2, the series is going back to Cleveland, and though Golden State may have a better 12-man roster, Cleveland has the best player in the world -- him.
I don't think he's saying something like that for sake of saying it, or because he's got an ego. LeBron is super smart, like all the great ones are. He said what he said for a reason -- to send a positive message to his team -- they've got a fighting chance, even down 3-2.
Just my view of it......
That last game....dude gave more than he had to give....had to just lay down after the buzzer. This new world view of the best in any sport is sickening. It started with Shaq. All he could ever accomplish was our given expectations. He could never exceed them because our lovely media and frothy fan spin put him at the top of all future accomplishments before he had ever touched an NBA basketball in season.

Boomstick trying to fit into that evening dress.....lol.

You are insinuating that our purpose of joining this forum and then posting on it has been to gloat?

The Patriots Way = 4SBs in 6 appearances
gotta love the patriots way
Smug - self-satisfied, self-congratulatory, complacent, superior, pleased with oneself, conceited

true that. the face he shows to the media is most likely not that he shares with his friends while having a drink.
IDK if i'd go as far as to say 'stupid'. the guy is a Stanford grad..lol. but liquored up, yeah...but we all have to pay the piper, even when we choose to throw a few down, and do dumb things because of it.
I was joking...

infraction - cheating
denial - embarrassing
deflection - nauseating

Dude is a game changer. He can get behind a defender, lay out, and make the unreal catch. If they let him go...I don't care what he costs...
-
Why are we talking about a stupid..liquored up QB?
-
I find the angst and vitriol spewed here by many about this pick was only slightly more irritating than the milk toast level change to "I guess I'm ok with it".
If you hated it....and used this forum as a place to vent your hatred so we all had to read it...over and over, then stick to your guns and call it out.
Just once, I would like to see someone who judged too early...and judged to harshly...to use the same effort and passion and quantity of posts in their change of mind, that they did in their prejudgement.
Just once.....
No....this is not a direct response to the OP. If it was, I would have quoted.

Holy cow...commonality determines acceptance? Are you kidding me? The cavalier attitude towards cheating by some Pats fans is nauseating.

This story is a hoot. It apparently was broke by Jeff Howe who has never gotten a story right. His three week suspension has already been challenged by Ben Volin who said Butler has been at practice this week. So, lots to sort out here as to what actually happened.
But I have to say, it is unbelievable to me how much the Pats are in the collective heads of the league, 31 other owners and fan bases. It is really stunning. Every move they make is a national story ...
What is stunning is how much Pats fans post in other teams boards to try and change popular opinion. As far as collective heads, none are bigger than Pats fans. Niner, Cowboy and Steeler fans have multiple titles, but they pale in the comparison to Pats fans who feel the need to display their teams titles and accomplishments in their signature. Many Pats fan's level of insecurity is shocking and unbelievable to others as well. Just responding to your train of thought in kind.

Tears fell....guilty.

Dude owns the huddle like a Masta.

"So what do you want, Andrew...80......100 million?"
"Both"

Creepy thread....

This mystic pressure that Dorsett is supposed to feel is a mystery to me.
The short answer is yes - in virtually every draft - there are multiple players who have more "pressure" on them than Dorsett. Like every QB picked in the top 5 who are now supposed to turn their team around to name just one instance.
But more important - as soon as they get to training camp, Dorsett will sink or swim because of his talent and not because of who they did not take at his spot.
What? Players feel pressure simply because they are in the NFL and not the slot they were taken?
Get out....
"Pressure is when you don't know what in the hell you are doing"...(Peyton Manning)

Does it matter? That Shipley has sailed.
Bah dum....pisht!

Yeah, they don't mess around with stupid. How long was Alphonso Dennard on the team? Gimme a break
Exactly.

Yeah, I posted this on another thread. Glad the Pats let him go. They don't do stupid. A real shame as he could have helped this year vs the run. Oh well ..
They don't do stupid but the risk bad people. Your comment may have been best left unsaid. Oh well...

Do you want me to stand over there while you direct the offense?

Hand wringing

He is going to break it far worse than Peyton ever did.
You could have said far more, but you said far worse. Interesting
