  1. Ecstatic or happy, probably not. Content that they will do the job, yes.

We have been playing russian roulette too much with our O-line the last 2 years that I want them to be given a chance to work together longer.

A lot of O-lines have 1 or 2 big name guys or 2-3 high draft picks (rounds 1-2). Unfortunately, we do not have enough draft picks to address all our needs.

Fair enough. Wouldn't picking up a Centre or Guard in the draft though.

  2. i dont get it man, we had a very high 6th round pick.... that could have used for backup qb, special teams and a host of other things. now we get a 4MIL cap hit???? ON AN OT? are you kidding. We can't afford that right now????!!!!!! UGH.

You'd rather have a backup QB than an a Tackle who has already played decently in the NFL?!

  3. but we wont get him, he already said on the radio, anything at this point would be better than current--- but "why would we want him" is due to comparison to other players and capabilities vs. cost and weighing that with our cap issues, which are huge issues right now.

But it's all well and good sitting here saying 'we should sign Ben Grubbs or Carl Nicks' - we can't afford that type of player.

We are more suited to bringing in players like Mathis, Jake Scott, Geoff Schwartz, Hutchinson, Brisiel, Rachal/Snyder etc. We won't be able to spend big bucks, we just need to bring in some cheap, reliable players for a bit.

  4. Geoff Schwartz, RG/RT, Panthers 6'6", 331 lbs, 25 yrs old "Young and a mauler with starting experience at right guard and right tackle,..."

I think he's more suited to be the OG than an OT. I wonder how Ijalana would do at LG since he played LT in college?

    I'd take this.
