RG3 is nowhere near as NFL-ready as Luck is.
-
That's just what as said on espn.
Fair enough. I think teams like Vikings and Browns need to bring in proper weapons for their young quarterbacks. Vikings have Harvin and the Browns, well...if they have good targets and still fail, then get rid. But if you're throwing to crap receivers then you're not gonna look good.
-
I'm surprised anyone still reads Whitlock's stuff no offense to the OP but stay away from him!!
, sorry, I'm from the UK so don't know the reputation of many reporters!
-
The feeling around the Vikings is ponder is not the future in Minnesota
Really? I don't think he's done that badly, he's better than Gabbert anyway.

Andrew Luck might want to consult a former Stanford QB legend about how to handle the NFL draft.
Twenty-nine years ago, John Elway refused to play for Bob Irsay’s Colts, forcing a trade to the Denver Broncos. Luck, Stanford’s latest can’t-miss passer, may want to avoid playing for Jim Irsay’s Colts, the team with the top pick in the 2012 draft.
That is not written to analogize Irsay father to Irsay son in regards to football ownership. Jim Irsay, while quirky, has established a solid reputation as an NFL owner and restored a measure of respectability to a last name best known for a midnight abandonment of Baltimore.
Nope. Luck should consider avoiding Irsay and the Colts to avoid the seemingly inevitable bad fate that awaits the franchise.
Indiana’s football bubble is bursting.
Wondering what people think about this. I can't see Luck declaring for the draft with the Colts at 0-13 if he didn't want to play for us...

Vikings are very good contenders.
But I think they will go with Robert Griffin III.
I think the rams will go for an offensive lineman or a second qb. But I don't think they will draft a QB in the 1st.
They might get Kellen Moore in the 3rd or 4th round.
But yeah, Blackmon might even go in the top 5.
Why would the Vikings pick RG3 when they spent their 1st round selection on a QB last year?
-
Does the Polians going have any effect on the impending drafting of Luck?
-
Konz is projected in the first round, but if he falls to the 33rd pick I think we have to take him. Another guy I saw that I liked was Jarel Worthy, he projects as a 2nd round pick(even though he is a top 25 prospect) and this guy is an absolute beast. We definitely don't need a DT as much as CBs but this team still needs top DTs for their defense to work and help against the run game which he would certainly provide. Plus I believe there will be quality at the CB position left in the third round, they will just have some character issues, but the Colts veterans are positive leaders so I think they will be okay.
I've seen a few updated Mock Drafts that have Colts picking #1, Rams picking #33, Colts picking #65 and Rams picking at #97...being quite new to NFL, can anyone explain why this would be?

What is Brackett worth then?
-
No way, not a chance, never in a million years.
EVEN if Manning is fit, we are giving away far too much. I'd rather we took RG3 (who I'm not a huge fan of!) by trading down than doing that deal.
-
If we had 2nd and got Kalil, Minnifield, Foles/Tannehill and Broyles, would many complain?
Though I still really want Luck.
-
Clear that there are a few gaps in the team at the moment - but what, if any, free agents would you be targeting to improve the team for next year?
-
Need to get Luck in, hope Peyton gets fit but we do need a #3 QB in case Peyton falls down next season.
-
In any other game I will be cheering for us to win just like any other Colts fan would.
However, one win can't help this franchise - but it could harm it. A defeat means we have the #1 pick. I know it's wrong and we should want to win every game, but I think we should/will/I hope we lose the game.
-
Whilst I think we need another top DT, I wouldn't be distraught if Anderson sticks at DT through pre-season.
-
Would love Wayne to stay. Had a slightly underwhelming season but that's to be expected with these crap QB's we keep wheeling out.
Wayne can still make big plays and is the only true #1 receiver at this franchise.
I hope that last night's win MAY tempt him to stay - but I don't think it will.

Jim Sorgi: 6th Round, 193rd pick overall.
Curtis Painter: 6th Round, 201st pick overall.
Andrew Luck: 1st Round, 1st pick overall.
Big difference really.
-
I currently have us down for:
1st round: Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
2nd round: Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia
3rd round: Lonnie Edwards, OG, Texas Tech
4th round: Ryan Broyles, WR, Oklahoma
Thoughts?
-
Mathis would be worth more than a 4th rounder I reckon. Perhaps not Brackett though.
-
Morris Claiborne...
-
Without trading down...
1st Round: Andrew Luck QB, Stanford (I don't want him, but the Polians do.)
2nd Round: Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia
3rd Round: Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
4th Round: Sean Spence, OLB, Miami
Don't watch a lot of college football so wouldn't mind some recommendations for 5th, 6th and 7th. If Minnifield has gone, pick Mark Barron?
-
Miami are more than happy to take a punt on Barkley/Griffin III/Jones.
Washington could come into play. Pairing Bethea with Landry in the Safety spots would be excellent, but would they give him up for Luck?
I think Seattle will take Matt Flynn from Packers in Free Agency, possibly Jason Campbell.
Cleveland could be interesting indeed, they might just see Luck as the man to take the franchise forward, as McCoy clearly isn't that man.
Kansas could keep Orton I guess (unlikely) whilst Cassel is likely to exit...getting Flowers or Berry would be superb, but with Landry...not sure we could snag them.
Denver...well. How long can Tebow time go on? Every passing week they have to be more encouraged by Tebow's work.
Tampa will probably stick with Freeman.
No way will Jets give up Revis for a rookie QB. More likely that we take Luck and they get Manning, unfortunately...
San Francisco have improved no end under Harbaugh and Smith has been playing well, but as you say, the Stanford connection could swing something...
-
One of the very, very few bright spots of the season.
You can always rely on Antoine Bethea.
-
T.J. Yates
sounds like a random name given when you go to season mode and draft players for the second season (they give random player names) on Madden.
yes! I thought the exact same thing when he turned up on Sunday!

Even people have had a dig at Luck this year, but since losing Baldwin he's not had great targets. Coby Fleener is alright.
