It is a gimme the colts bring in someone in FA. Who are the other options besides gore? Murray-injury prone, ran behind a good line Spiller-injury prone hasn't played well lately, Moreno-injury prone, Forsett-old as well, McFadden-injury prone hasn't played well huge risk, Ingram-played well last year, ryan matthews-injuries, chris johnson- just No, Bradshaw-good but injury prone.
Gore-old
With all of the other RBs we may have to get Gore, if not gore bring in Ingram. Although gore is old he is more durable than most of the other rbs. No reason not to bring in a good vet.
-
Those people commenting are stupid and no know anything. How about they learn to read and actually realize what was being asked and anyways Grigson said that the Draft board doesn't change much after the combine.
-
I would be estatic.
-
? Free agency hasn't begun.Just got a tweet that Gore has signed with the Colts.
-
To those not wanting to sign Gore, he is a proven vet, he is an immediate upgrade from ALL of our RBs last year, there is now way he can be signed to a rich contract, he is durable and very reliable and there is no doubt Grigson drafts another RB. Grgison will not repeat his mistakes of the previous 2 seasons when not having a RB or good depth.
Colts RBs next year if the reports are true
Gore
Draftee
Herron?
Tipton?
Ballard
If someone does get drafted and Ballard stays healthy and Gore comes there is now way this RB group is any worse than what we have had in yhethe Pagano era.
-
Gore is interested in a superbowl caliber team and a team where he can run for 1000+ yards again. I would like to have Grigson give him a try. At this point, the colts are more SB caliber than the 49ers and the need for RB is pressing. The only thing holding anyone back is the age, but he can't possibly be any worse than what we have now.
-
I would expect Hiltons to be the Kansas City TD to win.
-
Wow again. Been nice knowin ya Ahmad! As I've posted before, this has to go up to the coaches, here is another prime example. Irsay, pagano, whoever have to do something because this is getting embarrassing and annoying. I'm tired of this every week, like seriously what is going on?
-
Sign a RG in FA. Resign Shipley and ReItz. Take someone from OL at least twice in the draft. Sign more later on when preseason cuts are made. Also sign at least 10+ people for the OL. Can you name Castonzo's backup from last season? I cant. I feel like we have good enough depth at C. At LG Mewhort is good but who backs him up? At RG someone may be signed and/or drafted, then Thornton, then Heenan???? At RT all I can name is Cherilus who is a question mark and at LT all I know is Castonzo. There's no way Grigson can be fine with Reitz being backup LT, LG, RG, and RT. We need at least one backup behind our starter for each OL position because injuries can and will happen.

I agree with the players. I am fine with having Ricky Jean François staying with the team. I like him a lot, it's just he is a bit overpaid as you said.I'll give you half credit for Knighton, even though he's a completely different kind of player who was looking like he was on his way out of the league at the time.
As for the rest of those 17 players, several didn't reach free agency. Some of them are awful, and haven't done anything since then. At least two of them are retired. Others have been too hurt to play.
Which brings us back to where we began. He's a decent player who is overpaid, and that's about the worst thing anyone can say about him. The rush to kick him off the team doesn't add up.
-
Name them.
http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2013DT.php
Looks like many on here want Knighton. Could've gotten him for 2 years 4.5 million. A lot cheaper than RJF. Plus there are 17 players that were ranked better than RJF, I'm sure much of them could've been cheaper than RJF.
-
Well, I'm sure in the 2013 free agency, there were probably better options for 5.5 million at his position.$5.5m isn't going to get you a top player at any position, really.
RJF is overpaid, but not by a whole lot. Maybe $1.5m, which is like 1% of the cap. It's not worth all the noise, IMO. If we have a better player and can save some money against the cap, fine. But this desire to release him because people think he's overpaid is really just backseat driving.
-
He's paid too much. If Grigson is going to pay players so much, at least get quality and top players at their positions. Imagine if he had done that. :|
-
FINALLY! SO HAPPY ))))))). Now release all the other under performers!
-
-
This seems pretty realistic since sadly Grigson never goes after big name free agents. Hopefully he can change that this offseason.

Really good deal. I thought he would command more. Hopefully he can turn into a steal

We got those allegations from Bob Kravitz. As others have stated, if Kravitz hadn't broke the story; somebody else would have. Sorry, I was meaning to say some New England fans, not all. That still does not warrant them to tweet things to Kravitz that are anti-semetic and too inappropriate to state, just for doing his job.Kravitz was reporting and doing what WTHR pays him to do. This writer seems to just be writing out of anger with all of it directed towards the Colts. There is a difference between reporting something because it's your job and writing an article that has no particular need just because you dislike the Colts. You're right, because the Colts AND their fans should be allowed to level baseless allegations against the New England Patriots. And the New England media and fans should just sit on their superior intellects and be quiet.
-
That stupid article is filled with bias. It makes me angry and surprised at how rude and mean people can be, especially how classless New England fans acted toward Bob Kravitz. I thought New England wanted to forget deflategate, so why do they keep bringing it up. That person doesn't know anything, just his bias ideas.

No I wish thoughAny word on the cash? Guaranteed money?
-
So, how do the Colts respond to this.
Also, when do players like A. Jackson, J. McNary etc get there consequences? After their pleas?
I'd assume ILB is now an enormous need. :|

If not gore, who should the Colts bring in? I say decide not to resign Bradshaw and bring in Ingram/Spiller/or Forsett? Idk though.
