  1. I had an account for a little over 2 years I think and I post daily. I love this forum. There are many reason this Colts/NFL forum is great.

First off it's one of the greatest forums in the NFL. It is a great place for not only Colts fans but fans of all teams to come discuss everything NFL.

Secondly I enjoy talking with knowledgable football fans who usually understand football. I CAN NOT stand to go on other websites such a Facebook or Twitter and see what people are posting. They are embarassing and it really seems that 90% of them have no knowledge of how the game works and they say the most rediculous things. It's really great to be able to discuss things with great "real" passionate football fans! It really grinds my gears reading those comments on there. haha seriously just go check them out. It's so hard not to post something.

Just had to post something about it! Keep up the great stuff everyone! I'm sure there are a lot of people who like to read what we have to say who gain a good amount of knowledge about how things work.

I totally agree with the Facebook/ Twitter part. Those fans posting stuff act like they know so much, but most of them don't know what they are talking about. <---(I will also throw in Bleacher Report Colts fans and Instagram Colts fans)

This forum has helped me learn a lot about players prospects and so much more. Thanks!

  2. No offense , but reports like that mean no more than some * like myself pointing out that the Colts have a lot of cap room and need a new #1 RB. It could be the furthest thing in Grigson's mind to use around 6+ mill of cap room on a RB. Nor do we know if he would even consider spending around 14-15 mill per year on a DT. So my thoughts , you ask for them , are those two links can be flushed down the toilet as they bring nothing that wasn't very obvious to the table.

None taken. I was just posting some credible news that people may want to see, especially since I know many like Suh. We will just have to wait until FA to see if these reports are true.
  3. I have to say that was a pretty unimpressive report by them. They put out 4 names they say the Colts are looking at. First, I don't believe for a second the Colts would consider Wallace. Second, he eliminates VJ as if he somehow has so much more info about VJ than the Colts could have. That is a JOKE. Next, Andre Johnson is WAY TOO OLD. Sure, you might get a year for him. Are we suddenly in a "one year or bust" mode like Denver is contemplating right now? I would rather see them draft another solid WR or use those late round picks to scoop up a couple of the best UDFA's still out there and seeing if one or more of them can play while also considering a second tier solid veteran as a failsafe with a relatively benign contract and with a bit more tread on their tires. Just as Peyton could life a B- receiver to a B+ receive, I think Luck can do the same thing. Brandon Marshall might be good for a 2 year stretch but does come with as much risk as reward I feel. Not only the money which we need to fix the o and d lines, but we also have to find a safety, maybe two in a market with few options, all of which will have to be overpaid due to competition for them. The draft is light on them as well. I would rather (if needed) hold as much money back as we could to find one next year should a top notch long term prospect become available in any number of scenarios (trade, draft, FA signing whatever....). Marshall could be a huge hit or a huge miss as all FA's can be, but he also has history, baggage and age/health not on his side. If he were a draft prospect, those types of issues would scare a lot of folks off taking him where his physical skills would place him. I still think even if we got Marshall, we'd still need to draft another WR if Reggie retires as a safety. But as a report, that BR piece was a piece all right.. like something they phoned in at the last second. He didn't even say "according to my sources...blah blah blah" but rather it just seemed entirely made up in his head.

I love a rumor as much as the next bored fan waiting for something to discuss, but that report has as much relevance to reality as any speculation made by anyone here. Marshall isn't a tough or surprise idea for the Colts, and as many have said, we'll be linked to all of them until something really happens. Frankly, I'd rather have Terrance Knighton than Brandon Marshall for pure impact on this team. Perhaps we should start a rumor... or wait.. there's already been 10 of those.

Yeah I agree. It is annoying that B/R always seems to say the Colts are contenders for a player. They said it for Gore, Vereen, Marshall, Jackson, Johnson, Wallace, R. Bush and I think a few more. They just insert the Colts and say, "I think so and so will be a perfect fit for the Colts." I doubt any of this happens anyway. I say either resign Reggie or/and??? Hakeem and use a late round pick on a WR. If the Colts don't resign both Reggie and Hakeem, they should get one of the FA Wrs like Cecil Shorts or someone. Somebody who could take pressure of T.Y. and be a reliable possession receiver.
