ya like I said garbage with 1400 post ranging back 2 months. There is a reason why people keep making new threads and that's bc it needs to be talked about until something changes. Either the kicking problems stop or AV gets replaced or retires
-
20 Points... This is how many points the colts have left on the field this year due to miss kicks by AV. Everyone knows this has cost the colts a couple of games, todays included. I think AV missing kicks was part of the decisions why we went for it on 4 and short on our first failed attempt today in the first quarter while in field goal range (disclaimer I know Frank is aggressive on 4th down). I know people are gonna argue that the laces were facing AV... He also kicked the ground behind the ball that kick was a miss either way, he also had a miss/blocked PAT. AV was the AFC special team player of the week last... ok well in my opinion he didn't deserve it but it was kind of gifted it to him bc of milestones he reached with 200 games with the colts and 29 game winning kicks, not for his 3-5 subpar performance. I get AV is a GOAT but even the greats need to move on or be replaced, week after week he is a liability. 14-19 on PATs 12-17 on FGs that's 10 missed kicks in 8 games 10!!!
I know that multiple threads about this issue have been made today and ultimately locked due to an Adam Vinatieri thread made all the way back on Sept 8 with over 1400 post... well mods that's out of date and no one is gonna shift through all of that garbage to find the most current post so I think its valid to keeping a new thread open about this issue. Its a major liability and issue that needs its own thread if this problem keeps accruing week in and week out.

Ya but it was severe enough for him not to return to the game so they benched him.
No he finished the game, and ya that hit by Banogu was huge but still all issues aside does he still play next week after he called out the team to the press after the game??? The neck issue is just a really convent factor in the entire situation.
-
I'm curious if his comments after yesterdays game factored in the decision to bench Flacco next week. Granted yes I did see him working on his neck on the sidelines.

So do you let him finish the season or do you cut him mid season if this continues
mid season preferably sooner if it keeps up

He cost us this game with those missed kicks time to move on but I know the colts wont move on because they will just say oh he had a bad day.
isn't that the truth

That list was a joke Arron Rodgers was #2. Dont get me wrong he is a good QB but hasn't played like a top 10 since he won the Super Bowl. His game tonight also proved thst he isn't a number 2 QB

I think Campbell will have more yards and catches but Cain will have more big time catches and TD's

How does luck keeping the money that the colts gave him affect the cap?

I dont think any of those guys where really on the board. They probably got ruled out in the draft process bc they didn't fit CB mold of players he wants in high character team captain types. I for one didn't see the big hype on Tillery like most on here and Simmons was out for the year but D Line might have never been in the plan. That KC playoff game really stung and we needed linebackers and secondary help in this draft to help over come the weakness we had against a true high power fast offense. Now we have that on D. It will be fast, it will be electric, and it will be stunning to watch I hope. They can do a lot of different exotic things now. My only worry is that after the stellar year this D will hopefully have is that we dont lose ME to a head coaching job somewhere. Hopefully he will want to stay a few more years to really make this D something and win superbowls!
-
Want to know what else will be scary this year... Our D those guys can fly around the field too!!! Plus we got stronger in playing man and not sitting in zone 80%+ of the time!!!!

First off I am also a Wilkins fan. Second I remember Gore talking about when Ajayi got traded to philly from the dolphins and the things he had to say about him. I trust Gore knows what he is about when it comes to running back. Third good for ware but I am with some other posters in that I hope the depth chart is Mack Wilkins Hines and Ware if we carry 4 RBs.

I honestly cant wait to see this D play

I was curious to how they were gonna do the end without knowing who Ballard is gonna draft but he nailed it lol

I dont see a trade up in the draft happening until draft day with how late our pick is. the draft is just to unpredictable in how the board will fall

AV isn’t a great kicker, he is the greatest of all time and the most clutch kicker I have ever seen. It will be more interesting see which jersey he chooses to put into the hall when he retires..
I wasn't only referring to AV in this post, Vanderjagt ring a bell in the name of colts kicker that missed playoff kicks...

To the bolded: Huh? "So called"???
Knock it off.
Also, how are you sick of it, when this is the first time it's happened? When else has AV missed a playoff kick for us? When's the last time he even attempted a meaningful playoff kick?
Last thing, I believe the missed FG was tipped.
AV is the least of our concerns. If he wants to come back, he should come back.
Not just talking about AV when I said "So called" lets go back to the days when we had Vanderjagt
-
not popular opinion let AV walk. Also side note I am sick and tired of having a so called great kicker miss kicks in post season play

Lucks first blocked pass was hands in the face to Nelson. That was so badly missed and would of gave us some momentum on the second drive but overall the Colts played terrible today.
-
It would be really cool to see the Colts come out on the first drive and not pass the ball once. Having every play be a run and still score a TD. Send a physical message that the Colts are gonna punch KC in the mouth the entire game. Doubt that happens tho.

I am seeing that now. When Skip Bayless thinks we will win, the world is coming to an end

Last I seen we are 6 point underdogs. We were 8 point underdogs when we played Denver in 2014/15 in the Divisional Round. A 6 point dog isn't real huge but it is close to being that. I would guess most people at ESPN and NFLnetwork will pick KC but I am ok with it and understand it. They are the #1 Seed and at home. They have a QB like we have = Great.
Listening to a lot of sport shows today a lot of the media were actually picking the Colts to beat KC. Not all of them but I would say maybe a good 2/3??

I think this game hinges on Darius Leonard. If he can spy Mahomes and provide some good coverage in the middle of the field we win.
I actually think on D this game hinges on Hooker. If he can take away the deep passes and come away with at least one interception that would be a huge advantage for the Colts. Games like this is why we drafted him 15th overall in the draft 2 years ago. This could very well be Hookers coming out game 2 seasons in.
Colts have chance to lock up the division in the next two weeks

If by some chance we split with Houston but beat the Titians and Jags and Houston ends up with the better overall record would we still win the division with a better division record? Has that ever happened before in any division? Just curious, hopefully the Colts just win it out right.
