  1. Or Ballard could do it. Point is, the roster will still be cap heavy where it is now no matter who is doing the future picking.
  2. They can't start over. They got some mega dead cap if they cut Smith Nelson and Leonard. It would be a start-over that would have to look the same, LOL. But too early for that kind of talk.
  3. Its easier to change a coach at the end of the season than to change a roster. Remember that.
  4. Nah. The O line has looked this way since 2017 every time Anthony Castonzo didn't play. Remember when LeRaven Clark had to play? It looked this way all of last year, and it will probably look this way all of this year.
  5. Because in your fantasy world where you tell yourself you are smarter than he is, the lack of calling 9 routes is what cost us the game?
  6. You're joking? We've supposedly got the best RB in football and the best LG of all time and people are complaining about the play calling, especially in OT? Like he's suppose to rely on Pierce. Strachan, and Slow Mo to win the games for us?
  7. Frank sure did screw up calling for a missed 42 yard game winning FG.
  8. Too early to say this and the wrong thread, but think about this contrast. Ballard was saddled with big contracts too. His QB (via 1st round pick price), his LT, and his Z Flanker. The next guy will be saddled with Ballard's LG, RT, and ILB. Could turn it around. We'll see. Go Colts.
  9. Well, missed tackles can be on the players. And Mills was thought to be pretty heady and pretty accurate when drafted.
  10. What are you talking about? I'm not aware. NVM, just read it above.
  11. And a decent LT blocking for him. Leno, remember that choice?
  12. Which one should he use? The huge slow one that starts, or the two younger ones that can't catch? (but have great RAS's)
  13. Agree. If people want him on the field, he needs to be an option alternative to Pitt. Using him as JTs replacement is a misuse. BUT...he was Mack's replacement before JT, and got a $6 mil extension for being used like that. Apparently, most of us see something the FO doesn't. Probably visa versa though. Back to the game......
  14. They can't be on the field much, or else you take away the three-WR set or 2 TE set. If they are on the field alot, then you are advertising a gadget play, or, if you don't run it, there is one less blocker. To have two RBs in the same backfield together, at least one needs to be able to lead block for the times when you just run JT normally. Hines is pretty useless as a RB and always has been. Sometimes he flashes with a good play, but he's not a guy that fits well into most situations that would allow him to be on the field alot. Agree about Lindsay...which would reduce Hines snaps even more...and making his $6mil extension a real head scratcher as it should be.
  15. You're asking many to uncover a persistent blind spot. Ain't gonna happen. Its like me expecting Nelson to pancake the O's way into three TDs by now, based upon what I read in other threads.
  16. Most teams' rosters have a RB to back up what the primary RB does. Who is that on this team, and how does Frank use somebody who isn't there? Maybe JT plays every snap? I agree about using Hines and JT together. But there are other times when the back up RB simply runs the same plays as the primary.
  17. We added rookies. A good move, but the O isn't going to change too much until they emerge...if they do. Besides, Nelson is supposed to pancake everybody, so what team would need more than JT and Pitt anyway.
  18. I thought Ryan's "leadership" was supposed to influence that. Wentz lockeroom leadership seems to be working in their first half. I'm not complaining. Its only the first half of the first game. Over reactions aplenty here today.
  19. Gus has been a HC. And let Marcus Brady call the plays....yeah. sure, that would help.
