  1. As others have said, this is a deep WR class, so I don't think we should use the 2nd on one. We'll likely go 2/14/3-13/4-12 next year anyway, and then we can draft someone like Robert Woods or Keenan Allen in the first round. This year, bring in either Givens, Streeter, Jenkins, Quick, Jones or my man Keshawn Martin. Those guys should be available in 3-7. Then give guys like Mario Manningham and Robert Meachem a hard look.

The nr. one priority has to be the o-line. I really don't care what it takes, get Nicks or Grubbs. Draft Konz at 34. If he's not there, draft Osemele or Zeitler, in which case we should get a C in FA or in the later rounds (Blake, Brewster, Molk)

    LT - Castonzo

    LG - Nicks/Grubbs

    C - Blake/Brewster/Molk or vet. FA

    RG - Osemele/Zeitler

    RT - Ijalana

WR - Meachem, Givens, Collie, White

    TE - Tamme, Elrigde

    RB - Brown, Carter

    QB - Luck

  2. I wonder if we can trade Freeney and Clark to Miami to follow Peyton, Reggie and Jeff. The Dolphins need a better receiving TE, and a 4-3 DE. Maybe a 2nd and a 3rd?

    1. Andrew Luck

    2. Coby Fleener

    2. Kendall Reyes

    3. Chris Givens

    3. Casey Heyward

    4. AJ Jenkins

    4. Jonathan Massaquoi

    5. Derek Wolfe

    6. Nicolas Jean-Baptiste

    6. Michael Brewster

    7. Donte Paige-Moss

    Sounds good to me.

I like AJ Jenkins, but with Givens in the 3rd I'd rather go defense with the first fourth round pick. Then give me Keshawn Martin in 5-7. Other than that, it looks great!

  3. I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again.

I'm imploring all of you. Please, regardless of how you feel about how the situation with Manning was handled, please do not take it out on Andrew Luck. That isn't fair, he had nothing to do with it. He's just another young man trying to live out his dream of playing in the NFL. Like it or not, he's most likely going to be our starting QB for the foreseeable future. He's going to need us fans to support him if he's going to be successful.

Please, I'm begging all of you. Don't blame him for something he had no control over.

    Couldn't agree more.
  4. Not necessarily. Pats have 2 first round picks, can use one on Stephen Hill and another on Mark Barron.

Bengals have 2 first round picks, Browns have 2 first round picks. So, those teams have ample options before the players you mentioned get to No.34.

Pats have bigger needs. They won't draft a WR and S in the first. Maybe a safety, but not a WR. They need to focus on defense. If they draft a WR, it'll be in the 2nd and/or they'll bring in Lloyd or Wallace to stretch the field.

Bengals wil likely draft a guard, DeCastro or Glenn, and a RB (Benson is not the answer for them), maybe a DB.

I'd say it's very likely that one of the players OP listed falls to the Colts at 34.

  5. was he the one who ran the 4.5's but looked like a brick wall? I didn't catch that guys name, he seemed upset with himself over his time, but the dude was THICK

No, Givens ran 4.37. Him or Stephen Hill would be amazing.
  6. Frejsgod,

I think we will disagree I think players go to where they feel they will win. BB alone will make people feel that way. ASSUMIONG he doesnt retire when Brady does lol

This is exactly my point. When that time comes other teams will be in a better position to win compared to NE, because they'll have a better QB. BB is going to make them attractive, yes.. but a NE team with, let's say Ryan Mallett as a starter wouldn't be nearly as attractive as Green Bay with Rodgers or any team with a similar situation. A great QB and good coach trumps a good (certainly an unproven one) and a great coach.

Unless Mallett suddenly goes all Brady and win Super Bowls in his first seasons. But yeah, let's just agree to disagree.

Well, I hope BB doesn't retire when Brady retires, and I don't think he will. He loves a challenge.

  7. I disagree the Pats will be competitive and attractive to FA till BB retires. Brady is a HOFer but so is BB and he has done amazing things with a team whose D has been in flux for 2 years.

I didn't write that they wouldn't be competitive. Sure they'll still be. I just don't think they'll be that attractive when he's gone. That's not a knock on BB or anything. But when that time comes, I think teams like Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers, Lions with Stafford or any other team with a top QB will be more attractive.
