I am nervous too. I haven't felt like this in a while. Probably since our last game vs Houston.

Same. I want Bowers or Quinyon Mitchell. Would also be happy with Terrion Arnold.

Definitely worried there will be a bunch of trades for guys we like.

Sonny Weaver Jr just made a trade with the Seahawks to trade to no1. We're thinking he's going after Bo Callahan!

Ready, anxious to see how this goes down.

Yeah, I'm a bit nervous. Thinking there's a decent chance we trade up to get a tier 1 player.

I don’t think we’re going tight end. Ballard has spoken about what we have at tight end and he likes it.

usually when Ballard speaks on a position group and says something along the lines of “give them a chance”, he doesn’t draft that position high. He said it about our OL when they were bad. And he’s saying it now about our corners and tight ends.

if y’all have been listening, it’s only one group he hasn’t spoke on regarding the “I like our guys” statement…the wide receivers.

I'll quote you both here. For me, it's Bowers or bust as far as drafting a TE. Tip Reiman is a TE I love late as he is an elite blocker that could help us a ton and we could cut Cox for him, but other than that, if we don't draft Bowers, then I don't want to draft a TE.

Kelce was the 5th in the 3rd round. Kittle was the 9th in the 5th round.

Yep. This is true. It's tough to hit on TEs. Seems like a crapshoot. Most GMs don't want to try to be the smartest guy in the room by taking the first one in the draft.

Personally, I'd like to see what we have in our TEs for a year. If we can get Bowers though, it's hard to pass up. A lot of it is position strengths and weaknesses in the draft for me. We can get someone like a Theo Johnson in the 3rd, I just don't know if he'll be ready right away, and we have 4 guys that are good and I don't want to draft a TE in the mid-rounds that has to fight for a roster spot. If it meant we cut Cox, then ok. Bowers would cause us to do that IMO.

It could be any number of teams.  A generational TE they say.  All it takes is one team.  I still believe Ballard is trading up for a difference maker.  Not taking any chances of missing his target being this close to securing one.

I'm in the middle with a trade up realistically. I think if there's a trade up, it'll be with a team such as the Broncos at 12. They move down 3 spots and still get their QB, and we are able to move ahead of a team like the Raiders who is a threat for Quinyon Mitchell and secure him at 12. That's my scenario for trading up.

I can’t believe how many fans still think Bowers is going to be there at 15.  Amazing.

I'll say this. Who else besides the Jets is a major landmine for Bowers? Vikings probably go QB or CB. Broncos have tons of needs, including QB, EDGE, and D_Line. Raiders have lots of needs and are high on CBs and OTs. Saints are probably more of a threat to take OT or WR on offense than TE.

Honestly, if he gets by the Jets, there a good chance he makes it to us. Maybe the Bengals are a threat to trade up for him, but I'm nitpicking there. I honestly think there's a better chance Bowers makes it to us than Quinyon Mitchell.

Look at the Chiefs. Franchise tight end, qb, DT, and some would say corner. U need some elite players mixed in with players. We have one elite player, and he is our rb. This is 2024 and u ain't winning nothing with that formula.

Most of the elite teams have a top TE. That's a separator. Chiefs, 49ers, Bills, Lions, Ravens. All with top TEs. That arguably harder to get than a top WR. If Brock Bowers falls to 15, you take him.

  9. As we get within 24 hours of the draft. I want Brock Bowers. The lack of TEs that are good in this draft just takes over for me what could be a top CB in Mitchell. I feel like we can get a top CB, WR, and EDGE in rounds 2-4 if we really want too in some order.

If we have to trade up for Bowers, then I don't want him, but if he falls to 15, then I think we'd have to take him as there's no TE close to him on paper for the rest of the draft. He also would do wonders with Steichen.

Spencer Rattler better than Michael Penix Jr and Nix. Wow! That has to be one of the most ridiculous takes I have ever heard. To be honest I have never heard of that Tice guy either. McCarthy will be the biggest bust in this draft and I feel confident in saying so. McCarthy = Mac Jones. Washington went as Penix went, he had to carry Washington all season with an above average O.Line and average running game. He had Rome and that was about it. McCarthy had the best O.Line in the country and arguably the best running game as well. He was a game manager and could win as long as he didn't turn it over. Michigan beat Washington because they ran for nearly 300 yards. Tommie Frazier would have won it all with that type of offense and he wasn't even drafted.

Regarding Kirk Cousins, at least you don't have him to pile on anymore. You will see how life without Kirk is, the Vikings will be lucky to win 7 games and I like the Vikings as a team. My father would be so disappointed in the Vikings FO right now and their fans at the way Kirk was treated. He was still alive in 2018 when the Vikings got Kirk and he loved the move. He was the biggest fan I ever knew. He loved them when they got Fran in the 70's and was a fan until he passed away in 2019. His favorite player was Peterson in this era. He said he would take him over any RB that ever played except maybe Barry Sanders.

Kirk Cousins career with the Vikings: 2018-2023

*50-37-1 Record. A playoff win at New Orleans Saints in 2019, beating Brees.

*4 seasons with over 4000 yards

    *3 seasons with over 30 TD's

    *7.8 Y/A

    *68% Completion

I know, they should draft Penix.

I disagree. Bo Nix is a perfect scheme fit for Sean Payton. Sean Payton uses the West Coast Offense which Nix excels at. Penix is a deep ball thrower like Russell Wilson was and he doesn't fit Sean Payton at all. Nix is a dink and dunker that Sean Payton likes.

Broncos traded for Wilson, man look out now that makes them the Favorite to win it all. Broncos are a mess and haven't won jack since Peyton left homer simpson laughing GIF.

Broncos getting Zach Wilson is an insurance policy IMO in case they can't trade up for a QB or in case they want to trade down. It could also mean that they can't trade up for a top 4 QB and they are preparing to take someone on day 2 or 3 at QB.

The Broncos suck, but not because of this move. As long as they take a QB, this move doesn't affect anything.
