If we aren't interested in a CB this round, this could be good.

If Melton goes off the board before us, I will freak.

Might as well not take a CB now. Get a different position that falls.
-
Everyone trading ahead of Ballard. Starting to fall apart.
DeJean and now Kool Aid at CB.
-
This is the first thing that made me upset. Not happy Eagles got Mitchell and DeJean.

and you make a living off that, that's super impressive.
Thank you. It's somewhat a grind more than people think, but I do enjoy it.

You must have endless amount of free time
Well, I play fantasy sports, blackjack, and poker so I make my own schedule. No 9 to 5 job.

Good. Not a fan of Keon Coleman. he's too slow IMO. 4'6 speed is bad IMO.

Oh. Wow, you have an actual draft board and scouted that many players?
I have done decent research on about 200 players that any armchair GM could do lol. I have a pretty good idea of who I like personally.

The Athletic had the Colts drafting Melton in 2nd and WR Polk in 3rd.
That would be incredible. I would take Polk in the 2nd I like him so much.

I've been a long time proponent of getting Tyler Nubin. However, I've backed off of him recently. Not just because of his lackluster combine, but also that he fits more of a strong than a free safety.
Cole Bishop is my favorite S in the draft. Absolute beast athletically, and he's from Utah who have amazing defenses.

Was hoping Max Melton if they go CB.
I have Max Melton as my 55th ranked player. Slight reach in the 2nd, but a player I love. Little undersized for the 2nd round IMO where we are at.

With Ballard's comment about "Georgia really knows how to play defense", do you think we'll take CB Kamari Lassiter or S Javon Bullard?
Bullard yes, Lassiter no.

There's 10-12 guys I like still for 46. I'm hoping we grab a solid CB or WR.

So, are we going to have multiple threads going during tonight's draft? Or all on one thread while we follow along?
I'm wondering the same.

Bradley is answering the question, “why is he so excited?” And he’s saying he’s excited because the Colts drafted Latu. Apparently, that’s the player he was hoping to get.Thanks. Maybe that is new slang how he said it. Just worded weirdly lol.

I don't understand that term. "It's because it's him". What does that mean?

Saw a post from Ian Rapport
who stated both the Rams and Colts were making several trade-up calls in the first round. Once Bowers was selected the calls stopped.
What happened was when the Jets were on the clock at 11 after the Vikings picked, the Bengals, Rams, and Colts all tried to trade up with them before they picked. I'm guessing the same was true with the Broncos, but they didn't want to trade down because 5 QBs were taken already and took Nix (heard Peyton say he had trade down offers but picked at 12). After that, the Raiders took Bowers.
I'm 99.9% sure that Bowers was the Colts first choice and they got their backup choice in Latu who was also their top defensive player. Balard also admitted in his 1st round press conference that he tried to trade up and it was a no go.

I do not believe he was a top 30 visit for the Colts. I have seen in a few different places that his skill set is a good fit for the Colts. Many consider him to be the top safety in the draft.
Yeah I know who Nubin is, I was just curious about the draft visits. My personal top Safety is Cole Bishop. Hope we get him in the 3rd round.

THE NBC Sports 2nd round mock draft has
@33 Bills WR's Mitchell
#34 Patriots WR McConkey
#35 Cardinals -CB Mckinstry
#37 Chargers - CB Dejean
#38 Titans - LB Cooper
#39 Panthers OL Powers-Johnson
#40 Redskins CB TJ Tampa
#41 Packers LB Colson
#42 Texans DT- Newton
#46 Colts S Tyler Nubin.
Did we show interest in Nubin? I remember Calen Bullock this early.

I would rather shoot to trade the third round pick even if it cost a extra pick next year
It would depend on the pick next year. If it's a 4th, I do it in a heartbeat. If it's a 3rd, I'd probably rather trade the 2nd this year. Of course trading the 3rd gives us an opportunity to trade down and get a pick or two back moving down from 46.

I would, it’s a fair deal, IMO.I think I would too. He's pretty much a guaranteed hit, and we have the money to extend him. Our WRs would be incredible if we did that.

Buckner having reworked his contract, Ballard is open to signing veteran free agents or trade. An example is Brandon Aiyuk, since the 49ers drafted Ricky Pearsall. Alot depends on Steichen's vision on how to max out his offense.
Would you trade pick 46 for Aiyuk if we extended him right away?
